My Friends Are Everything

Make This Last Forver

The next morning, Nina walked into the Glamour Kills building with her head held high. Her hands were stuffed in the pockets of the knee-length pea-coat that covered the provocative outfit she was wearing. She bit her lip in excitement at what was about to go down in Jack’s office. She walked down the hall to Jack’s office and smiled warmly at the receptionist.

“Morning Steph!” she greeted.

“Hey Nina, what’s up?” Stephanie smiled.

“Nothing much. Oh, Jack wanted me to tell you to cancel his meetings today,” Nina lied.

“Okay, but is everything okay?” Stephanie asked.

“Oh he’s just sulking today; girlfriend troubles,” Nina shrugged.

“It must be rough,” Stephanie winced.

“Oh it will be,” Nina muttered under her breath.

“What was that?” Stephanie asked.

“Oh, nothing. Jack said he might be late,” Nina lied.

“Oh okay,” Stephanie muttered as she looked at her watch.

“I’m going to wait in his office for him. I’ll talk to you later,” Nina smiled.

“Okay, I’ll see you in a little bit,” Stephanie smiled.

Nina smiled back and walked into Jack’s office, closing the door behind her. She walked over to his desk and sat in his chair. She propped her legs up on his desk and crossed her ankles. Ten minutes later, Jack walked into the building and to Nina’s office. He opened her door and didn’t see her. Furrowing his eyebrows, he walked out, shutting the door behind him. He walked down to his office and smiled at Stephanie.

“Hey Steph,” he greeted.

“Hey Jack, sorry to hear about the girlfriend problems,” she smiled sadly.

“Girlfriend problems?” he asked.

Stephanie nodded and went back to work.

“Whatever,” he muttered and walked into his office.

His eyes widened when he saw Nina sitting at his desk with her legs propped up on it.

“Morning baby,” she smirked and stood up.

She walked past him and closed the door, locking it. She turned to him and leaned against the door.

“Uh, what are you doing here?” Jack asked as he turned to her.

“I had some ideas for a new collection of dresses,” she smiled innocently.

“Okay, show me,” he said skeptically.

She nodded and slowly undid the buttons on her pea-coat. She shrugged it off her shoulders and let it pool around her ankles. Jack’s eyes widened at the outfit. He cursed himself as he let his eyes wander up and down her body.

“What do you think?” she smirked as she rested her hands on her hips.

“Its…uh,” he stuttered.

“So you like it?” she smiled as she approached him.

She placed her hands on his chest and leaned up to kiss him. She grimaced when he didn’t kiss her back.

“You feel so tense; you should relax,” she smiled as she pushed him into his chair.

She straddled his waist and kissed him again. She smirked when he kissed her back. They pulled away breathlessly.

“You get me so hot,” Nina whispered in his ear.

She ground her hips against his and Jack let out an involuntary moan. She felt his arousal through his jeans as she ground their hips together again.

“We have to stop,” Jack breathed out, holding her hips in place.

“But why?” she pouted as she looked down at him.

“We just do,” he panted.

“But you love fucking me in your office. You said it was kinky,” she smirked.

“I know, but we can’t,” he muttered.

“Just do it Jack,” she spat.

“I can’t!” he exclaimed.

“Why not?” she demanded.

“Because I’m seeing someone else!” he yelled.

She glared menacingly at him.

“I fucking knew it,” she spat and got off his lap.

“You already knew?” he asked as he got up, not caring about his erection.

“Of course I fucking did! I saw you two at the mall yesterday! Who the fuck is she?” Nina barked.

“Her name’s Danielle; I met her at the airport,” Jack muttered.

“Were you going to tell me?” she spat.

“I was going to tell you about her eventually. Why do you care anyway?” he snapped.

“Because we both agreed not to see other people! You didn’t even have the decency to tell me about her before you went out with her! You just fucked me and went out with her the next day!” she yelled.

“We’re not together though! We just agreed not to see other people while we were fooling around. If I remember correctly, I wanted us to be together multiple times but you either shot me down every time or you fucked me to distract me! I finally decided to fucking give up on us and I called Danielle!” he shouted.

Nina blinked back her tears; willing herself not to cry.

“You don’t have to fucking give up on us though! Rian, Zack and Alex even said that she wasn’t your type! So what the hell are you doing with her?” she barked.

“I’m with her because she does more than lay on her back!” Jack spat, instantly regretting the words.

He felt his heart skip a beat as he saw Nina’s face pale and eyes lose their light. Her face went emotionless a second later. Angrily, she brought her hand up and smacked him hard across the face.

“I fucking hate you Jack Barakat!” she yelled.

“You don’t mean that. I didn’t mean what I said either,” he muttered.

“No, I officially do hate you with every fiber of my being! And yes you did mean it, you wouldn’t of said it if you didn’t! And to think I was actually jealous of her! She can fucking have you and I’ll pity her when you screw her over like you did me!” she shouted.

Jack glared menacingly at her.

“Get the fuck out of my office!” he yelled.

“Gladly!” she snapped as she slipped her jacket on.

She shoved past him and unlocked the door. She yanked it open and walked out.

“And by the way,” Nina started as she stood in the doorway.

Jack turned to her and glared.

“You suck in bed and I faked an orgasm every time you fucked me with your small dick!” she lied.

She smirked when his jaw dropped and his face turned red from anger.

“Oh and I quit!” she spat.

“Bye Steph!” she muttered as she stormed past her.

She angrily stomped out of the building and got in her car. She was about to drive off when she looked in her mirror and saw Jack’s car a few feet behind her. Smirking, she put the car in reverse and grabbed her cell-phone, dialing Jack’s number.

J- What the hell do you want now?

N- I hope you don’t need a car to take your girlfriend around.

J- What are you talking about?

N- You’ll see.

She hung up and slammed on the gas, ramming the back of her car into the driver’s side of Jack’s car.

Around noon that day, a stressed out and frustrated Sophie was making coffee for a grumpy business man.

“Ten more minutes,” she huffed as she turned back to the businessman with a fake smile.

She rung his order up and he grumpily paid for it and left. She glared at his retreating back.

“What can I get you?” she smiled fakely as she turned to the next customer.

Her eyes widened when she saw Zack standing there.

“Hey Soph,” he smiled warmly.

“Uh, hey Zack. What are you doing?” she asked.

“I just decided to come see the hottest barista in town,” he smirked.

She smiled, biting her lip. She looked down at the counter to hide her blush.

“What time do you get off?” he laughed.

“In about ten minutes, why?” she asked.

“I wanted to hang out. I’ll wait in here,” he smiled and walked over to an unoccupied table.

Over the next ten minutes, Sophie couldn’t help but notice that Zack was watching her every move. Finally, she was able to clock-out. She walked into the back and hung her apron up, punching in her time-card. She ran her fingers through her hair and slipped her hoody on. She walked back out and over to Zack.

“Ready to go?” she grinned.

Zack smiled and stood up, holding out his hand. Sophie smiled and slipped her hand into his. He led her out of Starbucks and down the street.

“So where are we going?” she asked.

“The park?” he asked.

“Sounds good,” she smiled.

They walked through the park and sat down on one of the benches near the lake.

“Can I ask you something?” Zack asked after a few silent minutes.

“Sure,” Sophie muttered as she turned to him.

“What happened between you and the girls?” he asked.

She sighed and looked down at her lap.

“Jenna and I got into a fight and the girls took her side. I totally regret it,” she muttered.

“What did you two fight about?” he asked.

“Alex,” she muttered.

“Alex as in your brother?” he asked.

“Yup, it was pretty stupid actually,” she muttered.

“Care to explain?” he asked.

“The girls and I went to breakfast the morning we left for New York. I found out that Jenna had feelings for Alex and I totally went off on her. I told her that she can’t be with Alex because I don’t want him to get hurt. I also told her that she doesn’t have the best record with guys and I didn’t want Alex just being another guy she fools around with. Of course Nina being the pit bull that she is went off on me. I haven’t talked to any of the girls since,” she muttered, blinking back tears.

“Don’t you think that Alex might be happy with Jenna though?” Zack asked.

“Does Alex even have feelings for her?” Sophie asked.

“Hell yeah he does; he loves that girl to death. He’s only with Sabrina to get over Jenna. Its pretty petty if you ask me,” he shrugged.

“I didn’t think that she’d make Alex happy. Fuck I am such a selfish idiot,” she groaned, pawing at her eyes.

“Hey, just calm down; there’s no need to cry. Now I have another question; instead of thinking about everyone else’s happiness, have you been thinking about yours?” he asked.

“I’m happy,” she shrugged.

“Are you really?” he asked.

She sighed.

“Hell no. I have a crappy job, my life is going nowhere, my best friends aren’t speaking to me and the guy I like is oblivious to the fact that he’s all I think about,” she confessed.

Her eyes widened and she gasped when she realized what she said.

“So you like someone?” Zack smirked.

“Uh…yeah,” she muttered.

“Do I know him?” he asked.

“Yeah, you’re pretty close with him,” she giggled.

“Is he hot?” he asked, scooting closer to her.

“He’s gorgeous,” she grinned.

“Does he happen to play bass in a super bad-ass band?” he laughed.

“Actually the band kind of sucks,” she giggled.

“You suck!” he laughed.

“Okay now I have a question! Does he like me too?” Sophie smiled, biting her lip.

“He’s crazy about her,” Zack whispered, placing a hand on the back of her neck.

“Last question; can he kiss her?” he whispered as he rubbed the back of her neck.

“What’s he waiting for?” she whispered.

He smiled lightly before leaning down and capturing her lips with his.

“Hey you!” Mandy grinned as she got in Rian’s car.

“Hey beautiful,” he smirked as he leaned over to kiss her.

“So where are we going?” she asked as he drove off.

“Want to go to lunch down at the pier?” he asked.

“Sure,” she smiled.

They drove down to the pier in a comfortable silence. Once there, they got out and held hands as they walked into the small café. They sat at a table and a few minutes later a blonde, busty waitress walked over. She stood at the head of the table and smiled seductively down at Rian.

“Aren’t you Rian Dawson?” she giggled.

“The one and only, and you are?” Rian smiled.

“I’m Tiffany,” she smirked.

“Hi Tiffany, I’m Mandy; Rian’s girlfriend. Can you please do your job and take our order now?” Mandy smiled innocently.

Tiffany glared at her and took their order. She reluctantly walked away, swaying her hips seductively.

“She seemed nice,” Rian smiled.

“Yeah, real nice,” Mandy agreed sarcastically.

Tiffany came back with their drinks and she continued flirting with Rian.

“Hello? I am sitting right here!” Mandy barked.

Tiffany sneered at her and stomped off.

“What’s wrong with you?” Rian asked.

“She is what’s wrong!” Mandy huffed and sipped her drink.

“She’s just being nice,” Rian reasoned.

“She’s fucking you with her eyes!” she yelled, getting a few stares from people sitting near them.

“Shh, people can hear you!” he scolded.

“I don’t give a fuck!” she shrieked.

Fifteen minutes later, Tiffany came back with their food. She set Mandy’s food in front of her and flicked her wrist the wrong way, tipping her drink over. Mandy gasped as her tea spilled down the front of her.

“You fucking bitch! This entire outfit cost more than your whole pay check!” she shouted as she stood up.

“I am so sorry,” Tiffany smirked.

“No you’re not! You’re going to pay for this you fucking bitch!” she yelled.

“Mandy calm down! It was an accident!” Rian yelled.

“No it wasn’t! I saw her do it on purpose!” she yelled.

“I did not! Rian you believe me right?” Tiffany pouted.

“Uh…” Rian trailed off.

“Rian!” Mandy shrieked.

“Look I don’t know what happened! Mandy can you just sit down so we can finish lunch?” Rian pleaded.

Mandy glared at the two of them before reluctantly sitting down. They ate in an awkward silence. When they were finished, Tiffany brought the check and a sharpy.

“Could I have your autograph?” she smirked.

“Of course,” Rian smiled and stood up.

Tiffany stuck out her chest and Rian signed his name across them.

“Thanks a lot,” she smiled and took the sharpy from her.

She grabbed his hand and wrote her number on it.

“Call me,” she winked and walked off.

Rian turned back to Mandy and he flinched at the menacing glare she was giving him.

“What?” he asked.

“You’re such a fucking pig!” she spat, grabbing her clutch.

She stood and stomped out of the café and down the pier.

“Mandy wait!” Rian called after her.

“What the fuck was that back there?” she yelled as she spun around to face him.

“She’s a fan! I gave her an autograph,” he shrugged.

“She was all over you and you weren’t doing anything about it! You were just feeding into it! She even gave you her fucking number!” she yelled.

“I wasn’t going to call her!” he yelled.

“How do I know that? You liked that she was flirting with you! You didn’t even try to stop her when I was sitting right there! How do I know you’re even serious about us?” she asked.

“You know I’m serious about you! But you also know that I’m not used to being in a serious relationship like this. You have to be patient with me; I’m still learning. You should know that you’re the only girl for me and I fucking love you to death!” he exclaimed.

“You love me?” she asked, biting her lip.

“Of course I do,” he smiled, holding her hips.

Mandy smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck. She kissed him softly and smiled up at him.

“Let me prove that I love you,” he smiled grabbing her hand.

“Where are we going?” she asked as he led her back up the pier.

“You’ll see,” he smiled.

He led her back to the diner and walked inside.

“Tiffany!” Rian called.

Tiffany turned to him and smirked. She strutted over to him and stopped in front of him so their chests were touching.

“Back so soon?” she smiled.

“I just wanted you to know that I will never be calling you. Why would I need to call you when I have a girlfriend who is way more gorgeous than you, obviously kinder than you and has a better personality than you? And I love her with all my heart so I wouldn’t need you anyway,” he smiled at her.

Mandy’s mouth hung open in shock.

“Excuse me?” Tiffany shrieked.

“You heard me,” Rian smirked and walked out with Mandy.

As soon as they were outside, Mandy pushed him into the wall and roughly kissed him. He laughed and wrapped his arms around her waist as hers wound around his neck.

“I love you Rian Dawson,” she grinned once they pulled away.

“I love you more Mandy Springs,” he smiled.
