Stereotypes.

Part Two.

Alex turned into his garage parking his car next to the other three that were kept there, walking into the large marble kitchen he saw Kathy making some form of pasta. "Alex is spaghetti okay for dinner?" She asked giving him a smile, she was tall, around twenty five or so, brown hair streaked with blonde and was more of a mother to Alex than his real mom was. "Sure and oh I have a someone from my history class coming over in like twenty minutes so we'll probably sit in my room" He said dumping his bag in the hall as Kathy nodded going back to finishing dinner, making his way up the stairs he paused outside his dad's study but there was no noise so he must be out and he knew his mom would be away for the week. Alex was use to it being just him and sometimes Kathy if she stayed the whole night, he had been living in this five bedroom house himself since he was 9 years old. Alex knew people thought he had an easy life with all the money he had but his life was far from perfect, no one knew the secrets Alex hid not even Zack who was his best friend since they were three. Picking up some clothes then tossing them into his wardrobe he made sure his room was tidy for when Jack came over, he didn't know what to think of Jack. The boy was shy as hell, mumbled all the time, looked terrified talking to anyone but there was so much that intrigued Alex about the him; they way he seemed to take everything in with his massive doe like eyes. Alex had been lying on his bed for about half an hour before the door bell rang out through the empty house, opening the glass door he saw Jack standing there awkwardly with his bag hanging off his shoulder."Sorry I couldn't find the right house" Jack said pulling down his hood to reveal his black hair with a few blonde patches in it."No worries, eh yeah come on in and we can just work up in my room" Alex said stepping aside to let Jack in, he watched as the boy chucked his shoes off and took in the massive house his mouth opening slightly. It made Alex wonder what Jack's house was like but all he wanted to do was get him up to his room so Kathy wouldn't embarrass him."It's not that great come on" Alex said as Jack smiled slightly taking his bag up with him, reaching Alex's room they walked in and Jack's mouth dropped again."You like Blink?" Jack asked raising his voice more than a whisper this time and Alex froze for a second them smiled "Fuck yeah dude there my favourite band" He said sitting on his bed motioning for Jack to take a seat anywhere, he chose to sit at Alex's desk. Alex was a little disappointed he didn't come and sit next to him on the bed but he let it drop."Yeah there my favourite band as well, I missed their concert this year" Jack said blushing as he looked at Alex for the first time since he walked into the house. "I managed to go it was awesome but I'm sorry you couldn't go this year, maybe next time?" Alex suggested and Jack just shrugged his shoulders pulling on the sleeves of his jumper. "So should we get this started with?" Jack said whispering again and Alex tried not to sigh he thought Jack was getting a bit louder around him."Sure, why don't you come sit here and we can choose a topic, get notes and stuff sorted" He said and watched as Jack bit his lip debating what to do, then he walked over and sat on the large double bed next to Alex. "Alex dinners ready!" Kathy shouted from the bottom of the stairs, Alex wanted to slap her as he was just starting to get Jack to not mumble or blush anytime he looked at him. "I should go then" Jack said picking up his History book and shoving it in his bag. "Stay!" Alex blurted out then looked at Jack who had turned a bright shade of red. "Eh I don't want to like interrupt" Jack said as they walked down the stairs and Alex shook his head. "You won't be, come on please Jack" Alex said touching his arm, giving him a slight pout and then pulled back realising he was half flirting with the boy. Shit. "Okay" The boy said smiling at Alex as they walked into the kitchen and Kathy turned round smiling at the boys."Alex said he was having a friend round so I made enough for you as well" She said handing Jack a plate overflowing with spaghetti and an identical plate to Alex. "Thanks Kathy, this is Jack" Alex said introducing the boy who was still staring at his plate of food and Kathy laughed."It's nice to meet you Jack and don't worry if you can't eat it all" She said walking out the dining room leaving the boys to eat and relief filled Jack's face. "Is that your mom?" Jack asked and Alex swallowed, he hated having to explain about Kathy. "Eh no Kathy's, she's like uh, like my mom I guess but she's not" Alex said now his turn to blush and Jack smiled."Looks like I'm not the only one who blushes all the time" Jack said bumping Alex's shoulder which just made Alex blush even deeper. "Do you want to come over again tomorrow like to just hang out? Cause we don't have classes after lunch" Alex said forgetting to turn on the filter between his thoughts and mouth, Jack just ran a hand through his hair and Alex hoped he said yes. "I'd like that plus it's not like I have any other friends to hang out with" Jack mumbled as he finished off his dinner, once the two boys had finished they washed and put away their plates and cups then Jack decided it was time to leave."I'm gonna head home but thanks Alex, I'll eh see you tomorrow?" Jack said it like a question and Alex nodded grinning, he gave Jack a tight hug and watched as he walked down the street. Alex said a good night to Kathy as she left and made his way up to his room, he didn't know why he hugged Jack when he had never gave Zack a hug in his life. Alex didn't really show affection to anyone other than Kathy so for Jack to get to him like that straight away scared Alex a bit, he wanted to Jack to come out his shell and open up to him and maybe he could do the same. Alex climbed into his bed even though it was only around seven, he just wanted to sleep and plan what him and Jack were going to do all afternoon tomorrow.
