Chapter 3
Jacks P.O.V
The next few periods flew by and the bell to lunch rang out. I arrived at our usual table find Rian, Zack, Josh and our friend Oli sitting at the table chatting away. I carefully place down my lunch and took a seat at the opposite side of Zack.
“Hey Jack man how was music?” Oli asked from the other end of the table whilst chomping on his burger.
“Um yeh it was alright I guess? I have a new teacher.” I said trying not to give away to much.
“Ohhhhhhh spill the goss who’s your new teach?” Rian said sounding like a teenage girl.
“Um well his name is Mr Gaskarth and he is a good singer.” I said smiling at the memory of that perfect voice.
“Oh Jack just smiled!” Zack teased causing me to scowl in his direction.
“Shut up you guys! He’s my teacher and nothing more. Besides all I know is his name!” I said a bit too defensive for my liking. Something was definitely wrong with me! Why was I defending a man who I hardly even knew?
That shut them up. They just kind of laughed at me because of the moody expression I was pulling for the rest of lunch. The bell rang and lunch ended. I checked my timetable only to discover that I had music again. I made my way straight to class and took the same seat I had this morning. I had taken music in 2 columns which meant I had 2 periods of it everyday. Mr Gaskarth slowly made his way into the classroom and taking a seat at his desk. He had a quick look around the room and when he saw me we instantly locked eyes and he smirked.
Alex’s P.O.V
I quickly scanned the room and as I was half way across my eyes met a very familiar person whom I didn’t expect to see again today. We instantly locked eyes and I smirked in his direction causing the boy to look flustered.
“Well hello Mr Barakat, It’s nice to see you again!” I smiled in his direction causing the whole class to turn and look at the lanky boy.
“You too Alex” He replied all too smoothly. Causing me to laugh a little.
I told the class to get started on their instruments and asked Jack if he would come with me for a second. I led him out of the class and told him to follow me down the corridor. We arrived at the very bottom room which was the staff base. I told him to come in and close the door behind him.
“I didn’t realise you were going to be in my class twice Mr Barakat!” I smiled at him lightly.
“Yeh I took music in 2 columns so you’re stuck with me twice” He laughed at me.
“Well won’t that be fun then!” I replied. I found myself staring into the boy’s eyes. I couldn’t deny it; he was good looking that’s for sure.
“Look Alex, I don’t know what you want with me but like you’re my teacher so can we just keep this professional?” Jack said with a serious expression plastered on his face.
“I’m sorry Jack you just remind me of myself when I was your age that’s all!” I said looking a little disappointed.
I really wasn’t entirely sure what was going on between me and Jack but whatever we had going I was quite enjoying the boys company.
