Jack

Alex finished washing up and I laid him down in his bed and placed another kiss on his cheek. “Get some sleep, I’ll see you at school tomorrow.” He nodded his head and said a little okay, I gave him a quick smile and walked out of his bedroom. I went downstairs and saw Tom sitting on the couch with his head in his hands. “Hey Tom, I’m going to head out now.” I said softly. He looked up at me with bloodshot eyes, telling me he was crying.

“Yeah, okay.” He said with a nod of his head, I started walking to the door but his voice stopped me. “Thank you for looking out for him Jack. I know you didn’t mean to do what you did the day you guys broke up. Just, please, take care of my baby brother, I can’t lose him.” It was my turn to nod my head and smile a bit.

“I’ll always look after him, Tom. Don’t need to worry about that.” He smiled back at me a bit and then I walked out the door, going down a few houses and getting into my car. I started it up and drove the fifteen minutes to my house. Once I got there I parked my car and went inside, I saw Taylor’s car in the driveway already so I knew she was here, most likely worried about what happened.

I entered my house and saw Taylor watching Netflix on my couch. “Hey Taytay.” I said as I took my shoes off and walked over to her. She smiled at me and sat up so I could sit next to her, but instead of sitting, I laid down and used her lap as my pillow, letting her run her fingers through my hair.

“How did it go?” She asked quietly.

“Oliver messed up his face pretty badly, we all four ran up the stairs and found him self harming.” I sighed and spoke again. “I don’t know where Alex and I stand, but we kissed a few times, and Phoenix kicked for the first time.” I had a little smile on my face.

“That’s so cute.” She giggled. “How are you guys going to act at school tomorrow?”

“I don’t know. But all I know is, I have feelings, and they are crashing like a tidal wave of emotions.”

“I think you guys will get back together. I kinda hope you guys do to, because let’s be honest, you are a cute couple.” I laughed with her this time. “Now, best friend, let’s get upstairs and get some sleep. Don’t need you falling asleep in class anymore.” I nodded in agreement and we both got up and went upstairs and into my room, I got ready for bed and so did she, seeing as she already had some of her clothes here from staying over a few times already, we climbed in bed and cuddled up, falling asleep within fifteen minutes.

It was the next morning and we just arrived at school, I gave Taylor a ride here, leaving her car at my house since her, Austin, and Alan were all coming over tonight. “Jacky.” Taylor whined, dragging out the ‘y’ sound.

“Taylor.” I said, dragging out the same ‘y’ sound.

“Piggy back ride!” She cheered as she clapped her hands. I laughed and bent down, letting my friend get onto my back. I walked into the school, with the blonde girl on my back, going down the halls, going up the first set of stairs, down another hall and to my locker, where we met up with Austin and Alan. “Ausy! Lan!” Taylor cheered, as she dropped from my back and hugged them.

“Hey Taylor!” Austin said with a smile on his face as he hugged the short girl, letting her go so she can hug Alan. “So, Jack, how did everything go last night?”

“They shared some kisses.” Taylor blurted out. I pushed her arm a bit with a playful manner and blushed. “And I feel like they are totally going to get back together!” She gushed.

“If he hurts you again, that’s it. I will break him.” Alan stared at me, making me roll my eyes.

“Whatever, Ashby.” I laughed. “So, you guys still coming over tonight?”

“Of course we are! We have the Fall Out Boy concert in the morning! Which is why we are all going to your place, so we can get there early.” Austin laughed.

“The concert is going to be fire!” I said thinking about it.

“Hey guys.” I heard a small voice from behind me. I turned around and saw Alex with a shy small, having on a sweater to cover up his arms.

“Hey Alex.” I said with a smile. I could easily get another ticket from my friend who works at the venue, maybe Alex would like to come with us. “How are you feeling?”

“I’m doing okay. How about you guys?” He kept his quiet tone.

“We are doing amazing! We are all going to Jack’s after school today, and staying the night, waking up early in the morning and going to the Fall Out Boy concert!” Taylor said jumping up and down with excitement.

“Sounds awesome.” He spoke, having a small smile on his face.

“I can get you a ticket, Alex. Wanna come with us? You can come to my place after school and stuff.” I said.

“Really? You don’t have to do that for me Jack.” He blushed.

“Oh come on! It will be fun!” I begged.

“Are you guys sure you’re okay with this?” He asked the other three, who nodded their heads with smiles. “Alright. Sounds like it’s a plan.” His smile turned even bigger, making my heart flutter.
