Let's Start a Riot
Summary
“I fail to see how this is making it up to me,” I pointed out.
He pouted, sticking his bottom lip out for the full effect. “C’mon Riot, take the drink.”
I was going to say no again, but then I looked at Jack. I looked at those big chocolate eyes that shone with excitement and mischief and the ghost of whatever I saw in them earlier. And I looked at his mouth, which was wearing that half-smile/half-smirk that wrecked everything inside of me, and I knew I couldn’t say no to him.
“Fine,” I sighed, taking the drink. I looked at the cloudy-red liquid for a moment, before squeezing my eyes shut and downing half of it in one gulp.
“Yeah! That’s more like it!” Jack shouted, tossing an arm sloppily over my shoulders. I smiled up at him, my eyes watering. The vodka was bitter and burned my throat, but the cranberry juice made it a bit more tolerable. “I promise you, Riot, I’m gonna make this one of the best nights of your life.”
And, well, he wasn’t entirely wrong.

Abbey Laine
A friend of Alex's. Outgoing and loud, she becomes fast friends with Riley, but she's also taken a special interest in Jack.
Alex Gaskarth
Riley's best friend and very protective of her. He's wary of Jack at first but they soon become good friends.
Emma Rowan
Noah's sister and Alex's friend. She helps draw Riley out of her shell.
Jack Barakat
New to Towson, but fits in quickly with Alex and his friends. Takes a very special interest in Riley.
Noah Rowan
Emma's younger brother. He's got a crush on Riley.
Rian Dawson
Good friend of Alex and Emma. Not that close with Riley but still looks out for her.
Riley "Riot" Shaw
Just trying to make it through high school with as few scratches as possible. Best friends with Alex, and becomes very close with Jack.
