He was finally mine.
The beautiful boy with the pretty eyes and the unbelievably adorable smile.
Alex was finally my boyfriend.
I took him out on a date to the movies (which was great, by the way), then we walked hand in hand down the sidewalk. That’s when I asked him to be mine.
And he said yes.
I couldn’t have been happier than I was in that moment.
This morning, my parents were doing their daily routine of arguing; that’s what woke me up this morning, actually. That really put a damper on my mood.
But then once I got to school, I saw Alex at his locker and it was like the sun came out and everything was okay again.
I quickly went over and greeted him with a kiss. We were lip locked for a while until we finally pulled apart from each other, and I picked up his books.
It was a lousy morning turned perfect, until it just had to be destroyed again.
“I didn’t think that my reasoning of this little fuck actually being gay was true. But really Barakat? Did I really just see you just fucking kiss him? Is that your own little coming out party? Huh, fag?” Ronnie’s voice rang through the air to rain on our parade.
It was a shock, really. Neither of us had heard from him in a while.
Alex stood behind me and clutched my arm in fear, while I glared at Ronnie.
I could feel him shaking, and it only made me even more pissed at Ronnie.
“Wow, I’m surprised. You’re still talking shit after I already messed up your face! Your nose is still bruised, I see.” I smirked, hearing people’s quiet laughter and oooo’s echo around the area.
Ronnie rolled his eyes and looked around a bit in embarrassment.
“Whatever. I let you gain a bit of confidence that day, but I see now that you’re a fucking sad, shell of a man. There’s no way in hell I’m letting a faggot kick my ass.”
“News flash, already did. And I gladly will again if you don’t fuck off.” I retorted, feeling Alex’s grasp tighten around my arm.
Ronnie glared at me, then averted his gaze to rest on Alex.
“Watch your back, Gaskarth. Your little bodyguard won’t always be around.” He sneered, making Alex’s breath hitch.
“Don’t fucking threaten him. I’m not his bodyguard, I’m his boyfriend. And I’ll always be here. Come on, Alex.” I turned to him and took his hand.
He quickly accepted, and walked with me to his first class.
“Thank you..” He said, with a sigh of relief.
“For what?” I gave him a confused glance.
“For not getting into a fight.. I don’t like that.” He bit his lip, looking down at his feet.
“Well I don’t wanna scare you again. I’m not fighting him again unless I have to.”
“Thank you.” He leaned up on his toes to kiss my cheek.
I smiled at him, stopping next to our classroom and wrapping my arms around his waist.
He blushed and smiled, gladly accepting the peck on the lips I gave him.
“D-did you mean that?” He asked, biting his lip.
“Mean what?”
“That thing you said.. About how you’ll always be here..”
“Of course, babe. I’m not going anywhere. I really really like you.” I bit my lip, gazing into his eyes and making him blush.
“Well, I really really like you, too.” He smiled up at me, making me smile back at him as I leaned down to press my lips to his.
He kissed me back, wrapping his arms around my neck.
I decided kissing Alex was my new favorite thing. It beat every single hobby of mine. Hell, I’d probably trade my motorcycle for his lips.
We were broken out of our trance when the bell rang, signaling we needed to get to class.
We walked in hand in hand, and gave each other one last peck on the lips before we went to our separate seats.

After class started, we were getting some long lecture about some revolution or something.
Neither Alex or I were actually paying attention, and I knew that because I spent most of the time making eyes at him across the room and watching him giggle into his hands and blush.
This honestly beat all sports.
We started watching a video eventually, and I looked over at Alex to see him writing something.
We didn’t have a video guide, so I was confused as to what he was writing about. Being the nerd that he is, he was probably just taking notes anyway.
Cute.
After class, I got up and walked over to his desk while he was packing his things.
“Hey boyfriend.” I greeted him, smiling.
“Hey boyfriend.” He repeated, with a giggle.
“Sooo.. I hope you don’t have any boring, work related shit to do at lunch.”
“Uh.. No? Why?”
“Cause I wanna take you out for lunch today.” I smirked, biting my lip.
“Y-you do?” He looked up at me with his red cheeks.
“Uhuh. You wanna?”
“S-sure! Where to?” He asked, as I started walking him to his next class.
“That’s a secret, cutie.” I chuckled a bit.
“Aww..” He pouted, jokingly.
I smiled and squeezed his hand a bit as we walked, feeling him squeeze mine back.
Once we were outside his classroom, I took his other hand and laced our fingers together, smiling down at him.
“So I’ll see you after for our lunch date.” I smiled, biting my lip.
“Can’t wait..” He giggled a bit, blushing a little as always.
I hummed in agreement, and leaned down to peck his lips.
“I’ll see you then, okay?”
“Mhmm.” He smiled as I gave him another peck.
“Have a good time in class.” I kissed him again.
“You too, Jack.”
“I’ll miss you.” I kissed him yet again, making him laugh.
“Okay okay, I’ll miss you too! Now get out of here before you’re late!” He giggled, pushing me back by my chest.
“Okay, okay! Bye!” I chuckled and gave him a quick kiss on the forehead, before turning around and walking off to class.
I smiled even harder to myself, knowing I left him looking like a tomato.
