Barakat, Jack Barakat
“I’m serious Cass, nothing happened!” Amy folded her arms across her chest.
“You don’t just run off that quickly if it’s not gonna amount to something”
“We agreed that it would be stupid to do it” Amy turned her back to Cass, collecting the rest of her belongings and packing them away. Cass walked over to her friend, patting her on the back.
“Get you being all responsible and shit” Cass laughed.
“Hey, nothing’s stopping us from doing anything while we’re sober. I might just wait until you’re around” Amy laughed, being cut off by a knock at their door. Cass made her way to the door while Amy continued gathering her things.
“Aammyyyy, you have a visitor” Cass called. Amy set off towards the door. She walked by Cass who just grinned at her. She approached the door, peering around it. There stood Jack with a huge grin on his face.
“Hey” he smiled. She smiled back, his smile was infectious.
“What are you doing here? Shouldn’t you be getting ready?” she laughed
“Zack is packing my things; you know I’m not good at that stuff” he chuckled.
“So anyway, I know your birthday was yesterday, but I have your present here” he smiled.
“Jack, you didn’t have to get me anything”
“I know, but I wanted to. It’s not much” he smiled, pulling out a, shall we say rustic, wrapped present. He handed it to her, a smile upon his face. He watched her face light up as she opened it.
“Jack” she didn’t know where to begin. In her hands she held a white picture frame. Inside the picture frame was the photo they had taken at Alex’s birthday. When Jack made the couple ‘official’ to his fans.
“I can’t stop thinking about that night. Not just because of the sex” he laughed, trying not to seem so serious.
“I told you I loved you, and I still mean it” he smiled softly at her. She held up her finger to him.
“One moment” she smiled, walking back into their room. Moments later, she reappeared at the door, holding something in her hands. She handed him the small box she was carrying and he knew immediately what it was. He opened it, pulling out the necklace he had bought for her.
“You still have it?” he was surprised. He honestly thought that she would have thrown it away.
“Of course I still have it, silly. I carry it everywhere” she laughed.
“Can I?” he asked, holding it up. Amy pulled her hair out of the way and turned around so that Jack could put the necklace on her.
“So what I want to know is” he started, waiting for her to turn back around.
“Where are you gonna put that picture?” he asked, deadly serious.
“I’ll put it somewhere in my apartment” he let out a sigh knowing that would be her answer.
“How about you put it on your bedside table? You know, the one in our room” he said, slightly hesitant.
“Our room?” she raised her eyebrow at him
“Yeah” he scratched the back of his neck.
“You know, our bedroom… in our apartment…” he trailed off.
“Are you asking me to move back in with you?” she laughed.
“Maybe” Amy threw herself at him, pulling him into a hug. She pulled back far enough to look at him. She smiled before leaning in to kiss him. Soft and sweet. Other than his hair, and his nose which she drunkenly admitted to him, his lips were one of her favourite features of his. She could never get tired of kissing them. Her hands, as always, wandered into his hair, desperately clutching at it as if he could disappear at any moment. He placed his large hands on her lower back, pulling her closer, desperate to keep them close. When she pulled away, he let out a soft sigh, earning a giggle from Amy.
“Of course I’ll move back in” she laughed.
“As long as you tell me what we are” she said, motioning her finger between them. He leaned down, touching his forehead against hers.
“If it’s alright with you, I’d like to go back to the way we used to be” he said, closing his eyes. He felt her nod her head, a smile spreading on her face.
“Okay” she whispered before leaning up to meet his lips again.
Short chapter, but a bit of fluff.
