Barakat, Jack Barakat

Chapter 2

“Why are you so smiley?” Holly looked quizzically at Amy
“He gave me his number” Amy mumbled while smiling to herself. The pair were currently driving home. Before leaving, Jack couldn’t help but give Amy his number and told her to text him when possible.
“Number? Who gave you their number?” Holly asked.
“Oh, just some guy I met outside the venue. We just got talking while you were busy swooning over a certain Mr Gaskarth” Amy winked. She felt bad not telling Holly that it was Jack that gave her his number, however she did not want her cousin to freak out and run and tell all of her friends.
Amy dropped Holly off at her house, exchanging goodbyes while Amy headed back to her apartment. Amy lived alone in a small apartment in Baltimore. She didn’t have many friends, as she liked to keep to herself. Yes, she had a few friends at work, however she wouldn’t consider any of the as close friends.
When she lay down in bed, she decided to send Jack a quick message.
Amy: “Hey you, hope you haven’t forgotten about me. Just want to say thanks for taking the time to talk to me :)”
About 5 minutes later, Jack responded.
Jack: “Of course I haven’t forgotten you, how could I forget a face like yours. It was my pleasure, hope to catch up with you soon ;)”
Amy: “Yeah, sounds good”
And with that, Amy drifted off to sleep with a smile on her face.
Amy awoke early the next morning with errands to run. Today was her day off, and she would make sure she ran all her errands early so that she could just sit around her apartment just relaxing and probably watch a few movies.
She had been out for almost 2 and a half hours, but had finally finished her errands. She decided to make a quick trip to Starbucks before returning home. While she was waiting for her drink, she noticed someone walk into the store out of the corner of her eye. She turned around and was greeted by a grinning Jack.
“Fancy seeing you here” he smirked at her. Amy started to feel the heat rush to her cheeks. There was no doubt that she found Jack attractive. She was slightly intimidated by his presence. She had never really spoken to many guys. She had only ever been in one relationship, which only lasted 3 months. It completely destroyed her self-confidence. The guy had told her that he just didn’t have any feelings for her, and that she wasn’t what he was looking for.
“Yeah, what a surprise” she replied, slightly chuckling.
“Why don’t we grab our drinks and head back to my place?” Jack said with a wink. The nerves started to bubble up inside of Amy, however she felt that she couldn’t turn him down.
“Sure” she replied with a smile. They both grabbed their drinks and made their way to Jack’s apartment.
“Welcome to my pad” Jack laughed as he opened the door to let Amy in. Amy walked in past Jack and was impressed with his apartment. Very modern, and a lot larger than the place Amy called home. She almost felt out of place. Amy took a seat on his sofa and sat looking down at her hands while Jack walked off into the kitchen. He soon returned startling Amy
“Beer?” he asked holding a bottle out for Amy. She gladly accepted the cold beverage and began to drink while Jack took a seat next to her.
“So Amy, tell me about yourself” Jack said, looking at Amy while taking a sip of his beer. “There’s not much to know really. I’m just plain old Amelia, 24 from Baltimore. I currently work at a music store selling CD’s, DVD’s and whatever else. It’s a boring job, but it pays the bills. My parents…” before she knew it, Jack’s lips cut her off mid sentence, pressing up against hers.
“You talk too much” Jack mumbled against her lips. She was shocked at first, but couldn’t help but give into his soft lips. It was only when Jack decided to slide his hand up the inside of her thigh that she pushed him off of her.
“What’s the deal?” Jack almost shouted.
“What’s the deal?!” Amy spat at him, feeling her temper rising
“You haven’t even known me 24 hours and you’re trying to get in my pants!” she shouted at him.
“Well, yeah. What did you think this was? Just a cute afternoon where we would sit around cuddling? I don’t think so. I don’t think you know how I work, Amy. I don’t do cutesy and cuddly. I see a girl a like, I sleep with her, end of” he said infuriated.
“Wait, what? So I’m just some booty call?” Amy half screamed at him. Jack had finally realised that what he had said to Amy was out of line
“Listen, Amy…” Jack sighed running a hand through his hair
“I didn’t mean it like that” he said.
“So what did you mean it like then, Jack? Did you think I was just another whore you could play around with? I don’t think so!” Amy was now seething with anger, standing up; she walked towards the door in a hurry. That was until Jack blocked her path.
“Amy, listen to me!” but before he knew it, Amy’s right hand connected with Jack’s left cheek. “Just don’t!” Amy stated before storming out of his apartment.

Notes

So here is chapter 2 :) I know it's really quick after the first chapter, but I found some spare time, so I sat in Starbucks for a few hours and decided to start writing. Hope you enjoy :)

I apologise omg, but I couldn't just end it on a cute, fluffy note :D honestly though, it killed me writing it. My heart actually hurt.

I knew it, he was going to propose! But I did not in any way expect Holly to do that! WHY WOULD YOU EVEN DO THAT! I will stay calm, I shall not get mad. WHYYYYYYY!!!!!
