A Rock to My Star

The Meet and the Greet.

Alex

We entered the back door to the venue and went down a long hallway till we reached the outside of the green room, where we were meeting the five fans that were able to get meet and greet passes. Matt and Vinny went in the room first, getting everyone to sit on the couches in the room. That way they don’t rush at us right when we enter, it was something that had to be done to make sure everyone was alright. I mean, let’s be real, our fans can be a bit crazy sometimes, but we love them all.

I was the last one to enter the room, right behind Jack. I looked around the room and saw the five faces of the people I was going to meet in the next hour. I noticed one girl sitting next to a girl with long blonde hair. She has medium length brown hair, and her eyes were a beautiful shade of green. She looked right at me and smiled, to which I returned. I would be lying if I said I didn’t think she was absolutely beautiful. If I was honest, she was really the first person I looked at like that since my break up with Lisa.

“Okay girls, I want all five of you to stand in front of the person you would like to meet first.” Matt said. I looked around the room and saw, all five of the fans were girls. Wow, do we really not have that many male fans? I looked in front of myself and noticed that brown haired girl was walking over to me, but was stopped by the blonde haired girl. She whispered something into her ear and then ran off to stand behind one girl who was standing in front of Jack. There was another girl in front of Rian, and one in front of Zack. The brown haired girl continued her short walk over in front of me and I smiled at her. “Okay, you have an hour to meet all the guys, starting now!”

I took a short step forward that way I was closer to the brown haired girl. “Hello. I’m Alex.” I smiled down at her again. She didn’t look as young as the other girls here, her and her friend both. They looked closer to my age, which it was always nice to see some of our older fans.

“Hi, I’m Krystalyn, but everyone calls me Krys.” She spoke as we shook hands.

“Very nice to meet you Krys. Ever been to one of our concerts before?” I asked with my smile still on my face. “Y’know what, before you answer that. Let’s sit down on the couch.” I chuckled and she let out a little giggle as we both walked over to the couch. “Also, I am sorry for the lack of shirt right now. It’s too hot to put it on.”

“It’s no problem, really.” She smiled again. “Also, no, I have never been to any of your concerts before. This is my first concert really. My friend, the blonde who is talking to Jack, brought me.”

“Been a fan of ours long?”

“Oh yes. For about six years now.”

“That’s awesome! Thanks for the support, means a lot to us.” I chuckled again. “So how old are you anyways? You and your friend don’t look the age of a teenager.”

“We’re both the young age of twenty.” Oh wow, they are only three years younger than me. I thought they were about eighteen at the oldest.

“Well, young age of twenty, Krys. You are absolutely beautiful.” I spoke as I looked into her eyes. She blushed a light shade of pink and looked away. When she looked away, the sleeve of her shirt pulled up a bit and I looked down at her wrist. It looked to be busied, which I didn’t like the sigh of. I grabbed her hand softly, which caused her to look at me.

“Wh-what are you doing?” She whispered. I ignored her and pulled the sleeve up a little bit more, but moved forward so I was blocking it from everyone else in the room. What I saw brought tears to brim to my eyelids. She had a few cuts, that didn’t look self-inflicted, and her wrist was bruising all around it, like someone had grabbed her way to hard. I looked up at her and she quickly looked away.

I let go of her hand and pulled her sleeve back down to cover her skin, as I could tell she wasn’t enjoying the fact that I found that. I put two fingers under her chin and made her look at me. She had tears in her eyes, and that was enough to make my heart break. How could such a beautiful girl be in so much pain. I opened my arms a bit to invite her in for a hug, to which she accepted. Which I was glad she did. I reached over to the table next to us and grabbed a tissue from the box that was sitting there, and handed it to her.

“Krys? Are you okay babe?” The blonde who I knew was her friend said as she rushed over to us.

“She’s fine. I got it” I said as I rubbed circles on the small girl’s back as I pulled her closer into my embrace. Her friend nodded her head slowly and walked away, but kept looking over at us to make sure Krys was okay.

She soon stopped crying and pulled out of my arms, which made me feel a little disappointed. But, I understand. “Who did that to you sweetheart?” I asked softly, that way only we could hear. I wasn’t sure if she was going to tell me, but I wanted to know, I wanted to make sure she was going to be okay. She looked up into my eyes, as if she was looking to see if she could trust me.

“My boyfriend.” She said softly. That’s when it hit me. How didn’t I think of that before? She was in an abusive relationship. The guy most likely gets her to believe that he is doing it out of love, and that he cares for her. But no, that is not love. Hell no.

I was just about to speak again, but was cut off by a voice. “Alright everyone, time is up. Hopefully you got to talk to all the boys.” I looked to the doorway and saw Matt walked in and said the word I heard. I then took my phone out of my jeans pocket and looked at the time. We had to be on stage in fifteen minutes, and I spent the whole one hour meet and greet talking to Krys. It’s not that I minded, I just hope I didn’t upset the other fans that I didn’t get to meet them. “Come on Alex.” I looked back up and saw Matt was standing in front of us.

“Uh, yeah. Um, can you take Krys and her friend side stage to watch the show? Oh, and make sure they don’t leave.” I said to him. He looked at me strangely but agreed. “Alright, her friend is the blonde over there next to Zack. I need to talk to Krys for a second, then she can go with you.” He nodded his head and walked away. I stood up off the couch and so did Krys. I pulled out my phone and handed it to her. “Put your number in, please.”

After she finished putting her number in, she handed my phone back to me and I shot over a little text to her so she would have my number. I then placed my phone back in my pocket and leaned forward so I can whisper into her ear. “I’ll meet you after the show. I’m not letting you go back home to him.” I moved back and she looked at me with wide eyes. I gave her another little smile before walking away, just as Matt and her friend walked up. I wasn’t going to let her get hurt anymore, not if I can help it.

Notes

So, this chapter was going to be Krys writing. But she has some stuff going on, so she asked me if I could write it up. Which I more than glad to. :)

@Nanook
It was a co-written story, but my co-writer wasn't feeling the story anymore, and nor was I, so I kinda had to just get it over with. But thank you for the lovely comment! :)
