Alex

Tonight was our first night on our tour, so we had to make the show kickass. Even if being pumped right now wasn’t really easy for me. You see, my long-term girlfriend, Lisa, cheated and broke up with me and I still haven’t got over it. It’s like she has this hold on my heart that will never be able to be released. I would love to meet someone new, I really would. But, I don’t think anyone can ever live up to Lisa.

“Come on Lex. No more moping around. It’s been two months since the whole Lisa thing. Get happy already. I know you were in love with her, and I know it hurts now. But you will find someone soon enough and you will be even happier with them than you were with her.” My best friend, Jack, said as he took a seat next to me in the front lounge of our tour bus.

“It’s just hard Jack. You don’t know what it’s like to be in love. You haven’t found that perfect person yet, I thought I didn’t with Lisa. I was going to ask her to marry me, I wanted to make her my wife.” I said as I put my head in my hands.

“You got about five seconds to stop with the moping and get ready to go to the meet and greet before the show. Plus, we both know that the fans always cheer you up, no matter how depressed you are.”

“That’s true. They always do. But, right now I feel like I let everyone down. Like, what did I do wrong Jack? Did I drive her away? Did I not show her how much she meant to me? Is that why she cheated and called it off?” I questioned.

“None of this is your fault, Lex. Stop thinking that it is.” Jack put an arm around my shoulders as he spoke. “If it’s anyones fault, it’s her’s. She lost a great guy, to nothing but some douchebag. Now come on, you have to fix that hair of yours before we go meet the fans.” I chuckled a bit and stood up at the same time my best friend did. He may be a idiot, but he can be very mature when he needs to be.

“Get your asses out of the bathroom, I have hairspray and a straightener to use.” I said as I walked up to the door and opened it up. When I opened it I saw Rian, just standing in there on his phone. Most likely talking to his girlfriend Cassadee. “Move it, Ri.”

“What? You finally done moping? You finally going to be the outgoing and loveable Alex we want back?” He asked as he exited the bathroom and I went in.

“Yeah, hopefully that person will be back after the meet and greet today. Hopefully the fans can show me the love I have been craving the past two months.” I said as I picked up the already hot straighter, I need to remind myself to tell Jack thank you for forgetting to turn it off, again. Rian smiled at me and went back to talking on his phone as he walked away from the bathroom down and went to, what I’m guessing, was the front lounge.

“Alright Gaskarth! It’s time to leave! The fans should be in the green room waiting already! Come on!” I heard Jack shout. I quickly turned off the straightener and spared my hair with the liquid fire, known as hairspray. I walked out of the bathroom and went back into the front lounge to see everyone was already there. Jack, Zack, Rian, and all of the crew were just waiting on me.

“Uh, you might want to put on a shirt before we go in there, Lex.” Zack chuckled. I looked down at my body and noticed I was only half dressed. Well shit. I mean, it’s not like the fans haven’t seen me shirtless before. But, I have to at least bring a shirt with me for stage.

I went back to mine and Jack’s junk bunk, and grabbed a random shirt out of my suitcase. Good thing what I grabbed matched my black and grey american flag jeans. I threw the shirt over my shoulder and walked back into the front lounge. “I’ll just put it on before we go on stage. It’s too hot for a shirt right now.”

“Agreed.” Zack chuckled. We all walked off the tour bus and headed into the back door of the venue, heading straight for the green room where the meet and greet was being held. I heard there was only going to be a total of five people today, so that means we will have plenty of time to talk to every single one of them. One by one.

Just like Krys said in the notes on the first chapter, yes the main character is named after her. But, most of the plot and everything is after two one-shots I wrote for Krys.
