Start Of Something New . . . . Maybe?

I placed my lips onto Vic’s and he took it by surprise, but soon deepened the kiss he pulled me closer to him. It felt different to kiss someone other than Alex, but this felt right. Vic has always treated me with the best respect, and he’s a great guy, so why not give him a chance? Plus it will work out even better since he gets along with Miracle so well. We pulled away from the kiss and looked deep into each others eyes.
“Well that was-” I cut him off.
“Great? Amazing? Perfect? Feel free to cut me off when I hit the right word.” I smiled at it. He chuckled and shook his head.
“I was going to say unexpected, but those words work just as well.” I laughed and sat back in my seat with a small smile on my lips. “I should start driving you back to your house now.” I nodded my head in agreement and he started up the car and pulled out of the parking lot and onto the road.
We sat in silence the rest of the ride, but I somehow managed to lace my fingers with Vic’s as he drove. We just pulled into the driveway of my house, but I really didn’t want the night to end. “You can stay the night if you want. I mean, you will be having to come over in the early hours of the day tomorrow. What do ya say?”
“Are you sure you're okay with that?” He asked.
“Positive.” I smiled over at the shorter man. He nodded his head with a ever growing smile and we got out of the car, me going into the backseat and getting my sleeping princess out of her seat and carrying her as she continued to sleep. By the time I got Miracle out and started walking over to the door, Vic already had the house unlocked and the door open. He moved to the side and let me go in first with Miracle. “Thank you.” He smiled and said a quick ‘no problem’ before coming into the house himself.
I continued to walk slowly, not to wake up the sleeping girl, but was soon stopped as I felt a ball of fluffy rubbing on my leg. I chuckled, knowing it was Boo greeting us. “Come on Boo, upstairs, you can sleep with Miracle tonight.” Both Vic and Boo followed me up the stairs, and I stopped just outside of Miracle’s room. “You can go ahead and go into my room if you want. I’ll be in just after I put these two babies to bed.” I chuckled and Vic said ‘okay’ before crossing the hall and going into my room.
I opened Miracle’s bedroom door, Boo shooting into the room before I even got the chance. I followed the small kitten into the room and walked over to Miracle’s crib and softly put the sleeping beauty into it, but not before changing her into her night clothes. Once I had her all set up for bed, I covered her with the blanket and bent down to pick up the little fluff ball who was sitting by my feet. I put Boo into the crib with Miracle, and she instantly curled up into her side, which was the cutest thing I have ever seen. I placed a quick kiss on both of my girls, and then walked over to turn on the nightlight. Then soon left the room, shutting the door gently behind me.
I walked across the hall and into my room where I found Vic sitting on the edge of my bed, looking bored out of his mind. He noticed me walk in and looked up with a smile on his face. “I can sleep on the couch if you want.” He said. I shook my head at him.
“No, you can sleep in my bed with me, it’s no problem, really.” I smiled back at the long brown haired boy. He nodded his head and went around to the other side of the bed, the side that used to belong to Alex. I walked over to my closet and changed out of my clothes I wore for the day, leaving me in only my boxers. I walked back out of my closet and Vic looked over. “If this is awkward for you, tell me now and I’ll throw on a pair of sweatpants.” I chuckled a bit.
“Oh no, you’re fine. I have no problem with it.” He chuckled this time. I nodded my head and walked over to my bed, and got under the covers. Vic still had on his clothes, which was strange to me, because I didn’t know any other guy that slept with clothes on at night.
“You know you don’t have to sleep in your clothes right?” I asked him.
“Oh, I just thought it would be awkward if I took off my shirt.” I could see the blush on his face.
“Vic, we played lacrosse together for about a year, I have seen you shirtless many times.”
“True.” He laughed and sat up to pull off his shirt. I would be lying if I said he didn’t have a nice body. He laid back down and I turned off the lights.
“Night, Vic.”
“Good night, Jack.”
