A Love Like War

I rushed to Alex the moment I saw his skin turn pale, but I failed to get to him on time. He hit the ground and I quickly got down by his side and brought him into my lap, holding him as I tried my best to shake him away.

"Come on Lex. Wake up." I said.

"Hunny, I just called 911. I saw what just happened. They are on there way." A old woman said as she put her hand on my shoulder.

"Thank you so much." I said as I gave her a small smile then turned back to my boyfriend, which I might remind, just fainted in front of my own eyes. Maybe the reason he did it was because he was in shock, maybe he is pregnant. I would be lying if I said I wasn't really excited by the fact we would have a child together. I mean, why wouldn't I want a child with the most perfect guy in the world?

I heard running footsteps and I looked up and saw that there was four EMT's coming down the aisle, straight to us. They reached us and quickly lifted Alex out of my arms and onto the stretcher.

"Can you tell us what happened, son?" A female EMT asked me as they rolled Alex away.

"I think he fainted from shock." I spoke as I looked at her.

"Is there a reason why he was shocked?" She asked me.

"Um, I rather not say. I want to hear him say the words before I say anything to anyone." I spoke. She nodded her head in understanding and asked one more question.

"And who are you to him?"

"I'm his boyfriend." I commented.

"Okay. Follow me, you can ride with us. I did as told and followed her out of the store and over and into the ambulance where they had Alex already set up with a IV.

It was really hard to write this, as I'm pretty sick and can't focus for shit. ._.
