Noughts and Crosses

Alex's POV

"We have to show them that just because they have some of us doesn't mean the rest of us isn't going to back down!" Kyle said as we stood round the meeting table.

Over the last month about 5 of us got arrested and sent to jail where they was waiting to be killed or whatever.
"Maybe if they weren't so sloppy they wouldn't be there in the first place." I said.
Jack stamped on my foot.
"Ow!" I said and glared at him and he gave me a warning look to shut my mouth.
"Even so, we need to show them we won't back down. They may have a handful of us but we have enough to show them we mean business." Kyle said.
"Yeah!" Everyone said loudly.
"But how?" Someone asked.
"Stop being sloppy to start with. That always helps you know." I said.
"Lex not helping." Jack said in my ear.
"It's fucking true and you know it." I spat.
"Maybe I do but I'm not being a sarcastic bastard about it." He said.
I scoffed.
"Whatever." I said.
"Oi you gays stop." Kyle said.
"Fine one to talk." I said.
Jack slapped me really hard round the back of the head.
"Just fucking stop Alex." He growled.

"We need someone to stalk Peter." Kyle said.
"What's stalking Peter gonna do about getting then people out of jail? By the time we get information and that those guys will be dead." I said.
"Their dead men anyway so might as well not save them." Jack said.
I looked at him as Jack wouldn't say that.
Me and Kyle would but not Jack.
"Why do we need to stalk Peter? He's fucking useless, we need to do something better." I said.
"Like what?" Jack asked.
I went to say something but nothing to mind.
"Haven't thought about that yet." I said.
Jack chuckled.
"Helpful Alex." Kyle said.
"Hey, you can't always relie on me, what happens if I end up in jail? You won't have my wonderful brain then. You need to think for yourself." I said.
"Well I ain't got any ideas." Kyle said.
I looked at Jack.
"I do but it might just fuck everything up." He said.
"What's that?" Kyle asked.
"That Alex comes back from the dead." He said.
"Jack that's fucking stupid! We worked fucking hard to keep Alex hiden from the world. We're not risking it." Kyle said.
I moved and sat on the table and thought about it.
"Think about it Kyle. Everyone thinks Alex is dead. Fucking hell even his own family think he is dead even though they never found the body! We use it to our advantage." Jack said.
"And how do you suggest we do that then?" Kyle asked.
"We play them." I said and everyone looked at me.
"You said it yourself, everyone thinks that I am dead. I show my face and get everyone talking." I said.
"I don't know Alex, its too risky." Kyle said.
"You have to trust me." I said and looked at him seriously.
I knew Kyle didnt trust me but i didnt care about him.
"I don't trust you Alex, which is why your not doing this." He said quietly and walked out the room.

We walked back home through the woods and it was dark as well so we could hold hands without worrying about being caught by anyone.
"He seriously has a grudge against me right now hasn't he?" I said.
"Yeah, dunno why but Kyle is grumpy with everyone at the moment so just ignore him." Jack said.
"Planning too." I said quietly.
Jack chuckled.
"I liked your idea, I want to do it." I said.
"I dunno Lex. It needs alot of planning and talking. We can't lose you. Your one of the best we have and if we lost you then we're fucked." He said.
"You mean, you cant lose me." I said.
He stayed quiet.
I moved towards a tree and pinned him against it and kissed him.
"Your not gonna lose me okay. Your stuck with me." I said quietly and kissed him again.
"People say that but this is risky Alex, you could go to jail. You could get killed by your own family." He said.
"Im willing to die Jack." I said quietly.
"But your not though. People might be able to get the whole hard man act but i dont. I know you Alex, i know that you dont want to die by doing that." He said.
"I havent even decided if i want to do it or not." I said quietly.
"But you have though." He whispered and kissed me.
"As much as I love this, but I'm freezing and really hungry." I said against his lips and kissed him again.
"Same." Jack said quietly.

We walked back had food and went upstairs out the way of everyone.
I was getting comfy in bed when Jack jumped on me and kissed my cheek.
"In bed this early you must be ill." He chuckled.
"I'm tired." I yawned.
"If only I could fuck you." He said quietly in my ear and bit it gently.
I smiled.
"Do you want a personal heater?" He asked and layed beside me.
I nodded.
Jack climbed under the covers and I moved closer to him.
"Jesus your freezing." He said quietly.
"I'm sorry." I muttered.
"It's okay, just go to sleep." He whispered and kissed the top of my head.
I slowly fell asleep.
