Alex's POV

There was so many rules we had to follow.
It wasn't just the Noughts who had to follow them but the Crosses do as well.
Our world was split into two groups.
Noughts and Crosses.
The Noughts, which is what I am, are the wealthy ones. We 'rule' the area where we live. We wanted a world where only wealth ruled. But Noughts where white and Crosses where black but there was some whites who chose to be a Cross as they didn't have the money to be a Nought.
Some of the rules we had to follow was:
- No Nought should be see with a Cross.
- No Nought will be in a relationship with a Cross.
- No homosexuals.
Well I'm fucked on one of these.

My father was the leader of a political party for the Noughts.
I lived in our house with my Mother and my sister Meggie.
I didn't get on my my mum or dad but me and Meggie where close.
There was only a year between us.
She was 18 and I was 17.
We both didn't want to live in this world where we where all divided but we didn't have much of a choice especially because of my dad.

*Present Day*

I was sat in bed watching some movie on netflix when my mother came in.
"Alexander get dressed we have to go in a hours time." She said and walked put my room.
"How about no." I muttered and went back to watching the film.
But 5 minuites later Meggie came in.
"Seriously Alex." She said and walked over to the bed with a box.
"Can you do me up?" She asked and turned round so her back was to me.
I sat forward and did the zip up on her dress.
"Cheers." She smiled and handed me a cigarette.
I smiled.
"Why do we even have to go to this shitty party?" I groaned and got out of bed and picked up a pair of jeans on the floor.
"Because its something to do with dads work and we are forced to be part of these shitty politcal parties he goes to." She said bitterly.
I knew she was breaking one of the rules.
-No Nought will be in a relationship with a cross.
"Hows you and Tate getting on?" I asked and pulled a shirt on while trying not to drop ash on the floor.
"We're good. You havent told them have you?" She asked and looked at me.
"I was held a knife point by you to keep it a sercet, why would i open my trap when you i am also breaking one of the rules." I said as she knew what i was as well.
Gay.

Being Gay is the biggest no no in this shitty place.
Get caught with a Cross, thrown into jail for 6 months.
Get caught being in a relationship with a Cross, 2 years in jail.
Coming out or getting caught having a gay relationship equals Death.
So my life is damned before it can even start.

"Alex you know your serect is more serious than mine. You could end up dead!" Meggie said and looked at the door which I went over and shut.
"Which is why its important you don't open your trap about it Meg." I said.
"Im not going to open it either. I don't want my baby brother being killed." She said and punched my leg.
"So you do care?" I chuckled and sat on the bed.
"Yes I do." She smiled.
"Well at least someone in this shitty family cares." I muttered to myself.
"They do care Alex." She said quietly.
"Have a funny way of showing it. They give you more attention than they do to me." I said quietly and sat on the bed and carried on watching the film while Meg put her make up on.
"Ring or stud?" She asked.
"Ring. Just to piss them off a little bit more." I said.
Meg just shook her head and put her nose ring in.
"Meggie! Alexander you both better be ready!" Mother shouted and stormed into the room.
"Get up I need to see if what your wearing is acceptable." She said loudly.
I groaned inwards and got off the bed and so did Meg.
"Meggie get the ring out your nose. Alexander..." She paused and looked at me.
"At least you've made some effort but lose the trainers." She said and walked out the room.
"Fuck am I taking my nose ring out it took me fucking ages to put it in." Meg said quietly and walked out the room.
I wasn't going to take my trainers off. I don't even want to go to this shitty 'party'.

I went downstairs phone and iPod hidden from them.
"Alexander what part of lose the trainers don't you bloody well understand!" Mother scolded.
"I could always change into skinny jeans, band merch and wear them boots you hate." I said back.
She was going to say something but my father stopped her.
"Leave it Isobel. We don't have a lot of time. Alexander we'll be having words when we get back." I said quietly.
"That's if I don't do a runner first." I muttered.
"What was that!" He said loudly.
"You know what fuck this stupid fucking part I'm not going! I have tons of school work I could be doing rather sat on a step or something wasting 5 hours of my life being bored fucking shitless!" I said loudly and went upstairs and slammed my door shut.

I heard the front door shut.
Peace at last.
Then someone knocked on my door.
"Yes." I said sonthe person knew they could come in.
The house keeper lady opened the door and stood in the doorway.
"Would you like something to eat or drink Master Alexander?" She asked.
"First. Don't call me Master Alexander, you can call me Alex when their not home. Second no thank you I'll get something myself if I'm hungry or thirsty thank-you." I said.
"As you wish Alex." She smiled and went out the room and shut the door behind her.
I got my school bag and looked at all the homework I had to do by Monday.
"Just kill me now." I muttered to myself and found another film on Netflix and started too do my homework.

4 films later, 6 pecies of homework later they came home.
"Alexander you better get that fucking arse of yours downstairs right now!" Father shouted.
"Damn it was just getting to the good bit as well." I said to myself and paused the film and went downstairs and see how much shit I was in.
I got downstairs.
"My office now." He growled.
Well this wasn't good. Not that I cared I was always being sent to his office to have 'words'.
"As you wish Sir." I said sarcastically and walked to his office.
I sat in his chair just to piss him off a little more.
I heard him walked in and shut the door.
"Get out off my chair." He said and walked towards me.
I rested my elbows on the desk.
"How about no." I challenged.
I knew better than not to challenge him but I did anyway just to piss him off a little more.
He pulled me out the chair.
"I'm highly disappointed in you Alexander." He said quietly.
Well there was nothing new there then.
"Really? Because the last time I checked you was still disappointed in me." I said and walked over to where he kept his scotch.
"Want some?" I asked. He shook his head so i poured myself a glass and drunk it.
"Carry on." I said and sat in the chair and put my feet up on his desk.
"Why can't you just be like your sister Alexander and not be so bloody trying all the time." He said.
"Now that would be very boring." I said.
"It would make my life and your mother's life much more easier." He aid and looked at me hard.
"Thats what you want. Well sadly life isnt easy father. You of all people should know that. Now I'm going to walk out this room, my attitude is not going to change, and get on with my school work as you both want to send me away don't you? And don't denie it. I've heard you and mother talking about sending me away as you can't 'cope' with me." I said and got up and finished the drink what was in my glass and put it on his desk.
"Is that all Sir?" I asked.
He just nodded his head and I walked out the room.

I went back to my room and got undressed so I was just in my pants.
I knew that when I went back to school on Monday there would be 6 Crosses started as part of this experiment they where doing.
All I knew was it was not going to start or end well for them.
