The best kind of coincidence

Manage me I'm a mess

Could I have the home address of Alex Gaskarth please?" I asked the kind old woman in the school reception, "why?" She asked
"He's been missing for the last couple of days and I want to notify his parents about an incident that happened a few days ago."
"Okay, that's a nice thing to do. I'd be careful though, I've heard that his dad isn't very welcoming." She handed me a piece of paper with an address scribbled onto it. I folded it and stuffed it into my jacket pocket. The cold winter breeze chilled my bones as I walked towards my car, as it got nearer I noticed black writing on the bonnet. As I got closer I could make oat the words 'Barafag sucks dick!' "For gods sake..." I grumbled as I tried to wipe off the ink. Luckily it came off quite easily so I didn't have to drive to a students house with that scribbled on the front.

I looked from the house to the scrappy bit of paper in my hand, "here we go then." I said aloud before climbing out of my car. The paving leading to the door was uneven and had weeds growing through the gaps. I knocked on the door and heard thundering steps towards it. The door swung open to reveal a tall broad man wearing a grey vest with multiple stains littered over it. The stench of alcohol radiated from him and his small eyes had large dark circles underneath them. His unkept stubble framed the bottom of his face. "What?" He said grumpily
"I...err... Came to see if Alex was home." I said sheepishly.
"That gay prick isn't here and if he ever comes back I'll kill him." He growled at me spit spraying from the corners of his mouth. "Ok. Do you have any idea where he could be?" I said beginning to find a small amount of bravery "No. Now leave me alone!" He said slamming the door in my face. 'Great. Where should I look now?' I thought by the looks of it his father wasn't at all nice and Alex probably needed some help. After going and sitting back into my car I decided to start my search at the police station, they probably knew something.

"Nope no missing persons report or any reports of a homeless boy being seen, at least not one that fits your description." The receptionist said slowly and carefully while looking at her computer screen, "wait a second, there is a boy that fits your description...he's in the hospital at the moment, refuses to tell the doctors who he is."
"Ok thank you so much!" I called as I jogged to the door. I clambered into my car and sped off in the direction of the nearest hospital.

I got to the reception and was greeted by a rather tired looking young woman who asked who I was here to see. " this boy" I said holding up an image of Alex.
"Do you know who he is? He has injuries that might have been sustained in a fight, this is an important matter."
"Look I think I know who did it but I want to talk to him first, to find out the whole truth."
"Okay then," she sighed "second floor, left corridor, fourth door on your right."
"Thank you," I said as I turned towards the lift.
Once on the second floor I ran down the left corridor and stopped outside the fourth door on the right; and knocked.
