Jack Barakat Imagines

First Time Meeting ATL

Your POV
*When you meet Jack*
It was my first All Time Low concert when they finally came to Germany. I had been a fan for so long, it was hard to manage my inner fangirl. I arrived early to the show. Too early. But I didn’t care. I wanted to see these guys more than anyone else I knew.
I was one of the first people to get there besides a couple girls who had camped out. Which I had done if I didn’t have work the other day.
I was waiting in line three hours before the show started when I had to go to the bathroom. And I mean I really had to go. I couldn’t hold it. Luckily, my friend was there with me and she held our spot in line while I went.
I walked out to the bathroom and went. When I came out, the lot was empty. I texted my friend.
Me: Seriously worried about getting attacked.
She didn’t answer and I pretended to text like mad so no one would think that someone wouldn’t miss me. I ran into something tall and soft. Like a human. I looked up from my phone to apologize and almost dropped my mouth. Jack Barakat?
“Oh! Hey, sorry didn’t see you there, I just had to take a piss,” he laughed his godforsaken laugh and continued. “Thought everyone was gone. You okay?”
“I- uh, I- uh. I-I’m s-sorry.” I stuttered. Smooth, Y/N, smooth. My English sucked and I was making a fool of myself. This was exactly how I wanted to meet Jack. Greeaat.
“You from the area?” He smiled at me, and his eyes did the thing I only saw in pictures, and I could literally die of a heart attack right about now.
All I did was nod.
“That’s cool. You wanna show me around town after the show? I’m all free.”
“O-okay.”
“Cool.” He smiled at me again. “Give me your hand.” I held out my sweaty hand and he took a sharpie from his pocket and wrote his number on my arm. “Call me when you’re ready.”
I just nodded again.
“Hey, I didn’t get your name, what is it?”
“Y/N.” Oh would you look at that? The only thing I didn’t fuck up.
Jack checked his phone from his pocket. “Shit I gotta go, catch ya later, Y/N?”
“Okay.” I finally smiled. He smiled back and ran off towards the arena.
My heart was probably beating a mile a minute and I couldn’t contain the butterflies that were set loose in my stomach. I ran back to tell my friend what had happened and didn’t stop smiling for the rest of the night. I hope Jack saw me in the crowd.

*Back up to current events*

Months later, Jack flew me over from Germany to meet up with everyone else. They were only in Germany for a day or so, so I didn’t get to meet the rest of them. Meanwhile, Jack and I had been nonstop texting. As much as we could, anyway. It wasn’t hard when they were still in Europe, but ever since they went back to Baltimore, it had been harder to talk to him.
Jack decided that it had been too long, and that the guys were tired of hearing him talk about me, and not meeting me. So he flew me to Baltimore.
I was texting Jack about me being nervous when I left. I couldn’t speak English too well, being from Germany and all. It was all that was on my mind. Would they like me? Would they laugh at me? I don’t fucking know.
Jack assured me that they were going to love me, but I couldn’t be so sure. What if I messed up? The anxiety was overwhelming me. I boarded the plane anyway and after 8 hours of sitting and waiting I finally arrived. Jack wanted me to have a straight flight because he thought it’d be easier.
I walked out of the terminal and looked around for the guys. At least for Jack. I should be sleeping right now. I looked around for him to see if I could spot him but I was short. Just look for the black and blonde hair, you’ll be fine. I’m so gonna die.
“Y/N!” I heard a voice call. Must be Jack.
“Jack?” I asked spinning around to find him.
“I missed you!” He ran up to me, picked me up, and spun me around.
“I missed you too,” I laughed.
“Come on, the guys are in the car. We’re gonna go to a coffee place.”
“Are you sure that you’re not going to get spotted.”
“Ah, we rarely get noticed in our hometown.”
“Makes sense.” I nodded and followed him down through the airport.
“So which claim is your baggage at?”
“I don’t really remember.” I laughed nervously.
We wandered around the place for a bit. Jack joked along the way, telling me his scary airport stories so I wouldn’t feel bad for not listening to the flight attendant. Jack kept getting calls from Alex. Rian called once, and Zack texted him. All of them were wondering where we were.
“Do they not talk to each other?” I laughed.
“Who knows,” Jack giggled along with me. When we finally found which one was mine, Jack called Alex, and I watched for my bag. I found it pretty easily, since I wrapped the handle with a neon green shoelace, and we were on our way. We got to the car, and so I wouldn’t feel awkward, Jack sat in back next to me, in the middle with Rian, and Zack sat up front with Alex.
“Guys, this is Y/N,” Jack introduced. I just smiled and waved. I’m not that big on talking. Especially to the people who I had idolized for so long.
Alex said hi briefly, Rian smiled and waved at me and Zack turned around to look at me. I looked at him, then at Jack (who was smiling) and then at Zack again.
Zack turned to Jack and said, “So does she speak?”
“Not at first, she’s gotta warm up to you.” I blushed and hid behind my hair.
“I see.” Zack smiled warmly at me. “Take all the time you need.”
I just nodded and stared out the window. This was my first time being in America, and all I could say was that it was different. I watched the cars drive by, and laughed slightly at Alex’s road rage.
We arrived to Jack’s favorite cafe, and I didn’t really know what I wanted. I knew the coffees and what they were called, of course, but as for choosing I had no clue. I decided to go with what Rian ordered, since he’s a coffee enthusiast. Jack paid for all of us, and we grabbed a table close to the back.
“So, Y/N,” Alex started. “There’s really no use in small talk since we know all we need to know from Jack’s motormouth.” Jack turned a light shade of pink. I giggled and took a bite of my cookie.
“Y/N here, plays piano.” Jack smiled.
“We know,” Rian sighed. “You said that already.
“I’ve got an idea. It’ll help you warm up to them.” Jack suggested. “Let’s play a game.”
I nodded in approval and took another bite.
“You guys in for it?” Jack asked the rest of them.
Alex shrugged and both Rian and Zack nodded.
“Okay, so Y/N will tell us something about herself, and they’ll tell you if they heard about it already.
I mumbled out a small “okay” and took a sip of my coffee. I thought for a bit. “You guys already know I’m German,” I laughed a bit to myself. They looked at me curiously, wondering what I was going to say next. My palms were getting sweaty, and I wiped them on my jeans. “Um, I’m a Virgo.”
“Jack said that. When he was looking up horoscopes the other day.” Rian laughed.
“When did I tell you that?” I asked Jack.
“I don’t know,” he shrugged. “About a month ago?”
I thought for a bit and smiled to myself. I knew one thing that they didn’t. I took one of the packages of jelly I found on the table. “Hey Alex?” He looked at me, and I gave him the thing I was holding. “This is my jam.”
They all laughed and Alex put his head on the table. “That was terrible.”
I laughed and grabbed a knife. “Alex?” He looked up at me again. “It’s knife to meet you.” I handed him the knife.
“Someone stop her before this gets out of hand,” Zack laughed.
“Something you need to know about me? I’m a master at puns.” I laughed along with them, and realized it wouldn’t be too bad after all.

Notes

AN So I know that I’m a loser and don’t update often, but I’m trying my best this break. So please don’t hurt me if they turn out to be shitty. I hope I write what you had pictured in your head. I tried to write in english but with German dialect, but it’s hard to do. I was maybe thinking of doing it for when she speaks, but I don’t want to butcher anything, and since I’ve never met a German, I thought it’d be a little bit disrespectful. I hope you don’t mind. Dude, I could totally turn this into an actual fanfiction, it’s so cute. Again, thanks for giving me a chance. The conversation is between you and Jack.
