Jack

I let my eyes trail back to the one’s that belonged to Kat as she was still struggling to get out of the grip of Vlad. She stopped when she met my eyes, and for some reason, I found myself in her head. How? She has the gift that blocks my mind control/reading out. I mentally sent her the question of how I’m in her mind, and she thought the words, letting them come straight to me. ‘I put my guard down, only you can read what’s in my mind right now. Jack, whatever you do, don’t let Vlad take control of you because of me. But there is one thing I wanted to say. And that is, if things end badly here, and I know they will, I wanted to tell....to tell you that I’m in love with you.’ I was at loss for words, well, thoughts, at what she was told me. She was in love with me. I mentally chuckled and shook my head a bit as I looked at her with a small smile. I sent her a quick through telling her that I loved her too, and to not worry, because the only person not getting out of here alive is Vlad. Then she thought it was time for jokes and say that vampires aren’t people. This time I really did chuckle.

“What the hell are you laughing at? This is not a laughing matter!” Alex said hitting my chest.

“Oh, sorry. I was just having a mental conversation with Kat, she thought it was time to make jokes, so I had to laugh.” I said with a smirk.

“A mental conversation with Katrina? How is that even possible? She has the gift.” Vlad said in his dark voice, sounding a bit confused.

“I can let whoever I want into my head. Now let me the fuck go.” Katrina growled at the end. Wait, growled? What?

“Did you just growl?” Rian was the first to speak of it.

“I think it’s time I let you all in on a little secret. Including you Vlad.” She started. She opened her mouth, and I saw fangs make theirself shown, as she dug them into Vlad’s arm. Vlad let out a small yelp and took his arm away from Katrina, as she made her way over to my side. We all looked at her with confusion written all over our faces. Even Vlad, I could tell by the look on his face that he didn’t see this coming what-so-ever.

“You’re a vampire?” Zack questioned.

“Surprise.” Kat said, but using a more of a questioning tone.

“How? How were you, and I didn’t know? Who created you?” Vlad asked, visible anger showing.

“No one created me. I was born this way. My parents were half vampires to start with, which you knew. But you didn’t know that one of their children carried both genes, making them a pure blooded vamp.” She spoke.

“So you are willing to kill your own kind for your whole life?” I questioned her.

“I feel more like a hunter than I do a vamp. But, how else do you think I get some of my quick movements, as well as a few other things. Including being able to keep up with you in bed.” She said with a wink my way. I chuckled and shook my head.

“Hello? Guys? Yeah, there is a vampire who wants to kill all of us. After we take care of him, you guys can go upstairs and do whatever it is you guys do.” Zack said.

Katrina

In one swift movement, Vlad had Jack pinned to the ground, as well with all the others on the ground but me. Somehow I blocked his force and was still standing. Fuck, I wish Mom and Dad where here. They would know what to do. That’s when I saw my stake laying on the table, the one I left here just in case. I swiftly made my way over to it and grabbed it, making my way back over to Vlad and Jack. I grabbed Vlad by the back of his shirt and threw him across the room. Before anyone knew what was happening, I had Vlad pinned, with the stake to his chest.

“I thought you would be more of a fight. Such a shame Vladimir. Who would have thought, that I have more power than you do? Not me, that’s for sure.” I said as he tried to get up, and throw me, but failing each attempt. “Now, Vlad. This next move I make. Is for my family, you selfish prick. Oh. And to protect the only one I love!” I shouted the end as I bought the stake down the to his chest, ending his life with a swift movement. He faded into ashe, and I was sat on the floor, trying to recall what just happened.

“Well, I guess now that you're a vampire. We can be together?” I heard Jack question from behind me. I could also hear the smirk playing on his lips, making it unbearably hard not to smile at his question. I stood up from my spot, dropping the stake as I made my way over to Jack, as I saw he was the only one on the ground now, as the others got up. I reached my hand out so I could help him up, which he gladly accepted and I brought him up to his two feet.

“Is that your way of asking a girl out, Barakat?” I asked with a smirk, knowing the answer.

“Damn right it is.” He smirked back.

“Then the answer would be yes.” I said, letting my smirk turn to a smile. He smiled back at me, and before I knew what was happening, he had me pressed against the wall, sucking on my sweet spot on my neck. I let out a light moan, and that’s when the others spoke.

“Okay! Okay! We will leave, but please. Take it up to your room!” Rian said holding his hands up as he walked passed us, being followed by Zack and Alex. They left the house and Jack and I both ran up the stairs, disposing of our clothes as we went. We got on the bed and he hovered over me as he spoke.

“Does this mean I get to use full force now?” He smirked.

“Now that the truth is out. Sure, why not?” I said with a laugh. He brought his lips down to mine and placed a passionate kiss on my lips, and that was just the start of many to come.a
