Blink Once.
Chapter Ten.
“Vlad.” I heard Jack growl as the others came to his side. All standing in defence mode. I put my hands on Dallas’ arm around my neck, only then did I realize that this person was not Dallas.
“Let me go you prick!” I shouted as I tried to fight against his hold, failing because of his strength.
“Now, now. Calm down my little one. Don’t want to get yourself hurt, now do you?” Vlad spoke into my ear with a dark chuckle at the end.
“Where’s Dallas?” I questioned as I spoke softer.
“Katrina, when I say this next word. I want you to let the past bring you back.”
“What?”
“Remeber.” He spoke the word, and just as he finished it, something flashed into my head.
“Let my son go!” My Father shouted. I looked in my arms, and saw my Mother was lying dead in my grip. I felt the tears trail from my eyes. I looked back over to where my Father was looking. Vlad was standing there with Dallas locked in the grip of his arm. From the way it looked, I knew that if he just moved his arm a little bit to the left, Dallas’ neck would be broke. “Please! We won’t try to go after you again!” My Father pleaded.
“You’re a little late for that.” Vlad spoke with a dark grin. I heard a cracking sound, and the next thing I knew, Dallas was falling to the ground, not making a single movement when he hit the floor. I looked over to my Father in complete utter shock. In a blink of an eye, Vlad was behind him and snapped his neck as well. I felt the tears trail from my eyes, down my cheeks as Vlad looked over to me. He walked over to me and bent down next to me. Moving my Mother from my grip and taking my hand in his. “Don’t cry. You should be happy. I’m going to let you live. For now at least. Because I’m going to need your help.”
“No! Get away from me!” I shouted as I tried to pull my hand from his grip, letting more tears trail down.
“Calm down little one. I can tell, you where the weakest of all four of them. Which is why I need your help. You see, I turned this guy into a vampire, a few years back. I normally have full control over whoever I turn. But this guy, this guy I have no control over. And it worries me. His name is Jack. Jack Barakat. He is a couple years older than you. I need you to make him fall in love with you, that way he puts his guard down, risks it all to save you. He must die Katrina. I have been following him since the day he became one of my kind. The easiest way for me to stay close to all of you, is to turn into someone you never would think would have it out to kill you. Therefor, my new name is Dallas.” He spoke in a dark voice.
I came back to reality and I felt my eyes were wide. For the first time in my life I actually felt scared. This was it. This was the day I died. I looked over at Jack and met his eyes. He had the look of anger, worry, and protectiveness all together.
“Don’t do it, Jack.” I whispered. He gave me a confused look, asking what I meant. “Don’t fall for me. Don’t put your guard down.” He looked back up at Vlad and hissed at him.
“What the hell did you do to her?” He growled.
“Oh, you know. Just the normal. Killed her family, that’s all.” He chuckled his dark laugh.
I knew from this moment, that things here where not going to end very well.
Notes
Sorry it's really short.
I cut my finger the night before last, and that's why I didn't update yesterday.
I cut if pretty bad, and it hurts like hell to type.
I went to the hospital for it, and they said I didn't need stitches, so that's good.
Anyways, yes, Dallas was Vlad the whole time. What do you guys think about that?
Next chapter is going to be a full out war between everyone.
Goddamn is there a storty of yours I haven't read
