Jack

I was numb. I'd been without Alex for so long and to say I missed him was an understatement. I hadn't been sleeping, I hadn't been eating. I took a swig of more vodka. I laid back on the bed and let out a long, broken sigh. I needed him and he didn't need me.

I began to look through my photo album. I had deleted every picture of Alex and I that I had seen. As I scrolled to a day many months ago, while we were in Florida, I saw Alex with a stupid grin on his face with his tongue out. When I left my phone after that phone call from Zack he must have taken it.

"I need you Lexxy," I cried. "But you don't need me."

I was empty, I didn't feel anymore. I was in another one of my drunken fits. I smashed the half-full bottle of vodka on the floor and fell to the ground crying. I looked over at the mirror, it had been shattered from when I punched it weeks ago. The cuts on my hand were still healing.

I needed him, I really did. Why did I leave? Why did I force myself out of his life? You don't hurt the people you love and I knew that I had hurt him. I needed him. At this moment my phone began to ring. I picked it up, not looking at the name.

"Hello," I asked hopefully.

"Hey Jacko, you up for practice. Matt really wants to meet you, same with Johnny. You'll be an amazing fit," Brian said into the phone.

"Actually Syn, I'm about to leave town. I need to go to Baltimore," I said, shocking myself.

"Are you drunk? You sound drunk. It's only 11 am, please tell me you aren't."

"I'm fine, I promise. I just need to sort some things out in Baltimore, make some things right."

"Alright, well, call me when you get home."

"I will."

I hung up the phone and began to pack my bag, filling it with what I could think of. I jumped in the shower considering I hadn't showered for a week, maybe week and a half. I washed my hair, making sure to get all of the grease out it, I wanted to look decent.

I immediately went on the computer and ordered a plane ticket for Baltimore and left the dorm room without saying good bye to Zack sleeping on the couch. I got into a taxi and went to the airport, I needed to see my caramel haired love.

I quickly ran through the baggage check and security, I didn't want to wait at all. The plane was boarding as I got to the gate and I merely jumped in line. I boarded quickly and once I was seated sleep took over me for the flight.

I woke up once we landed and quickly ran from the plane. I waited and ripped my bag off of the conveyor belt and ran outside where there were taxi's waiting for potential customers. I quickly jumped into one, giving them the address. The drive wasn't very long but it felt like an eternity without Alex.

We pulled up to the entrance of campus and I paid before sprinting from the cab. I found myself outside of the lecture hall that I had gone into long ago. My sense of time was distorted so I couldn't remember how long ago. I saw people leaving and that's when I saw Alex.

"Alex," I called out.

The jock who had been picking on Alex when I came into the hall whenever that was giving me a sorry look. He better not have had anything to be sorry for. I'd still beat him up without thinking twice.

"What are you doing here. You look bad," Alex said, sounding upset.

"I fucked up Lex, I want you back, please take me back. I fucking need you. I'm a wreck without you."

"Baby," a black haired guy yelled prancing on Alex and kissing him. "Are you ready for our date tonight?"

"Jack, this is Andy. My boyfriend," Alex said.

"Pleasure to meet you Jack. How do two know each other," Andy asked carefully.

"Just a memory," I whispered, walking away.

Notes

Y'all wanted Jack and Alex to meet again so they did. Honestly, I never realized that I shipped Alex and Andy but I totally do now. Can y'all feel the awkwardness in this cause I really hope you do :)
