Chapter Fifteen.
Alex's POV
"Jay, can we talk about this?" I spoke softly.
"Lex, I just need to process some things." Jack spoke, I let out a sigh and left the room, going back into the living room with Austin. I wonder what made him shout like that? I’m sure he will tell me when he is ready. Right? I ignored my thoughts and sat on the couch across from the couch Austin was sitting on.
“Is everything okay?” Austin asked once I sat down.
“I don’t know Austin. He said he needs to process some things and wouldn’t talk to me about it.” I spoke looking over to Austin. Over the past few days we have been here, Austin has become a good friend to me, which Jack was happy to hear us getting along so well. Austin nodded his head in understanding, and I just turned to watch whatever was playing on the TV. It seemed like forever till Jack finally came out of the room. When he did, he walked straight over to the couch I was on, and laid down after he grabbed my hand and pulled me so I was laying on top of him. He put his arms around me and held onto me tightly. Making Austin chuckle at us. “Uh..Jack? Are you okay?” I asked moving my head so I was looking in his eyes, since it looked like he would break at any minute.
“I’m fine. I just want to be with you. And cuddle you. And love you. And never let you go.” He muttered as he moved his head so he hid his face in the crook of my neck.
“Wait, back up. Did you just say love?” I asked pulling away from him a little bit so he would look at me.
“Uh...no?” Jack tried to play it off with a small laugh.
“I’m pretty sure you said love, Jack.” Austin spoke, now looking over at us with a amused look on his face.
“Fuck.” Jack muttered under his breathe. He took his arms off from around me, giving me the chance to sit up, and covered up his face as he tried to hide from our looks.
“Well, this is a lot more awkward now. So I’ll be outside on the deck. Enjoy your conversation.” Austin spoke as he grabbed his beer off the table and went to the sliding glass door and opened it up, shutting it behind him as he walked onto the outside deck. I turned to look at Jack and he was still hiding his face.
“Remove your arms and look at me.” I spoke crossing my arms over my chest.
“No.” Jack mumbled. I let out a sigh and tried again.
“Jack, please remove your arms, sit up and look at me.” He let out a sigh and did as I asked. We stayed quiet for a few minutes till he tried to break the silence.
“So…” He spoke awkwardly.
“Before we talk about anything else. I want you to tell me why you dropped your phone and shouted.”
“Do I have to tell you?”
“Yes. Now talk.” He let out another sigh and started his little story.
“So, when I was in here, Zack called my phone. I left the room so I could talk to him in private. He told me that I need to come back to the reality life, and go back to California. I told him no, and that I’m happy here. And he kept trying to get me to come back, telling me that you and I were never suppose to meet and shit. I told him that he picked Steph and I picked you, and I asked why can’t he be happy for me? And he shouted into the phone telling me that he is in love with me.” Jack finished, running his hand through his hair. I looked at him in shock at what he just told me. “Please say something.” He whispered, sounding nervous as hell.
“Uh..I-I don’t know...wh-what to say…”
“Tell me that he is wrong. Tell me that we were suppose to meet. Tell me that this is reality. Tell me that we were meant to be together.” He whispered, looking like he would break down and cry at any second.
“Jack, we are not even together. You two have known each other most of your lives. May-maybe you to are meant to be together.” I spoke, not really knowing anything else to say, because it’s the trust. Jack and I were not dating. Zack is his best friend, most people end up falling in love, or marrying their best friend. I was broken from my thoughts by a feeling on my lips. I came back to the real world and saw that Jack had pressed his lips onto mine. Was I going to kiss back? I sure was. I mean, it’s not like we haven’t kissed before. I started to kiss him back, and I could feel as his lips turned up into a smile. We pulled away after a moment's time and he spoke again.
“Never say that. We were meant to meet. We were meant to run away together. I’m not meant to be with Zack, he is too close of a friend to be anything more than that. I only want you, and you only. Alex, will you be my boyfriend?” He spoke quickly. I looked at him with shock again. Now it was my turn to process what he just said. I looked down the the ground for a second. Trying to wrap my brain around it. Wait, Jack just asked me to be his boyfriend. I looked back up to him and I could only see sadness in his eyes. I guess I waited to long to answer him. Since he started to get off the couch, I grabbed his arm and made him sit back down on the couch.
“Yes, yes I’ll be your boyfriend, Jack.” I spoke with butterflies in my stomach. The sad in his eyes, as well on his frown, went away as soon as the words left my mouth. He quickly crawled over to me and pushed me down on the couch. Placed his lips hungrily onto mine. But I have to admit, I don’t think I would be ready for sex anytime soon. But, Jack seems to be. He licked my bottom lip, me being me, not granting him access, so he tried again. Which I denied again. Before he could try again, we heard the sliding glass door open and footsteps come on to us. Jack pulled away from me and looked up.
“You two are not going to fuck on my couch.” Austin said with a smirk.
“That’s fine. Alex, or should I say, my boyfriend, wasn’t having it anyways.” Jack said grinning. Making me blush and hide my face.
“Ooo, boyfriend eh? Congrats guys! But for real, no sex on my couch. Or anywhere else in my house.” Austin said ending with a chuckle, only making me blush more. I heard Jack giggle at me as he grabbed my arms and pulled me up, into his lap as he held onto me. Austin chuckled and started shaking his head as Jack started placing multiple kisses on my cheek.
