Somewhere In Neverland

Chapter Twenty-Three.

Wendy's POV

Alex just told us about what Billie said on the phone. They have a chance at becoming something real with what they love. I don't even think anyone knows where Hopeless Records is located. Maybe I should say something. I mean, I have to. I love all four of them. I need to know how far away they are going to have to go if Hopeless likes them.

"That's great guys. I think you should look up where Hopeless is located. That way you can get the address to the place, that why you can mail them the video of you guys playing." I said with a faked smile. Don't get me wrong, I was happy for them, but it just hurts to know that they will be leaving. I could tell by the look on Alex's face that he knew my smile was faked. I could also tell that he was still trying to get Jack off of him.

"Jack! Dude, get the hell off of me!" Alex said with annoyance.

"Never! I'm your lover. Get over it." Jack stated as he placed a sloppy kiss on Alex's cheek. Alex groaned in annoyance. He looked over at me and gave me a look of longing. I looked at my hands that were in my lap so I didn't have to face the look Alex was giving me.

"It says here that Hopeless is located in California." Rian said showing his phone to Zack. That's when it really hit me.

California.

I quickly used my sweater sleeve and brushed the stray tear that fell onto my cheek. I quickly got up from my seat, keeping my head down so no one could see my face. I quickly walked up the stairs and ran down the hall way. Just as I was about to shut my bedroom door I heard yelling.

"Get the fuck off me, Jack!" Alex yelled. I slammed my door shut an locked it. I slid on to the floor with my back against the door, just as the tears started streaming down uncontrollably. I heard footsteps running up the stairs. Getting closer and closer to my room. I heard a soft knock on the other side of the door.

"Wendy." Alex spoke softer.

"Go away." I muttered.

"Please let me in." He spoke with a soothing tone.

"The only person I will let in is Kara." I spoke, because let's be honest. She must be hurting as well, she just knows how to hide her feelings really well.

"Okay." Alex muttered. I heard footsteps walk away from my door and down the stairs. I sat in the spot I was in, crying, for the next minute or so. I heard a even softer knock on the door this time.

"Wendy?" The small voice of Kara came.

"Are you alone?" I asked, hoping it was just her outside my door.

"Yeah. It's just me. Can I come in?" She asked. I stood up from my spot on the ground and unlocked the door, opening it to see the face of hurt. She quickly stepped into my room and wrapped her arms around my waist. I pulled her out of the way of the door and shut it. I quickly wrapped my arms around her just as she started to cry.

"Shh. It's going to be okay." I cooed in her ear.

"They can't leave us Wen. Not now. Not ever." She cried into my chest. I slowly walked us over to my bed and sat down on the edge, with Kara still in my embrace.

"I know it hurts. But we can get through this. It might take some time, after they are gone and all. But we can get through this. Just like when Dad left..." I trailed off. Kara broke the embrace and looked me in the eyes, her eyes were filled with un-fallen tears, threatening to fall any moment. I took my sweater sleeve and whipped the already fallen tears off her face. "It's going to be okay." I muttered softly. I heard the door open slowly and Kara and I both turned and looked to see Alex standing there.

"Kara, can I talk to Wendy for a minute, please? I promise it won't be long." Alex spoke softly. Kara nodded her head slowly and gave me a quick hug, which I returned.

"Go on downstairs to the boys. I'll be down soon." I spoke placing a kiss on her forehead. She nodded again and walked out of the room. Alex shut the door behind him as he stepped into my room and walked over to me. He got on his knees on the floor in front of me took my hands in his.

"Wendy. I know what you're thinking. I'm not leaving you." He muttered.

"If you guys make it you have to go to California. Please tell me again how you are not leaving us?" I snapped, as I pulled my hands out of his. "Don't get me wrong. I'm happy for you guys. It just hurts to know all of you are leaving." I spoke softer this time as I whipped a few stray tears.

"Wendy. If we make it you can come to Cali with us. I'm not giving you up."

"I can't just leave Baltimore! What about Kara?!" I snapped again.

"Kara can come to!" He tried to reason with me.

"Yeah, sure, whatever. But what about my Mom, Alex? She already lost my Father. Losing Kara and I would just kill her."

"You guys can move to Cali with us! All three of you!"

"Yeah, like that's going to happen." I said, it coming out more vulgar than intended.

"Please Wendy. I love you." He spoke softly. I let out a small sign in defeat, he was not going to give this one up anytime soon.

"I can't promise anything Lex. But I'll talk to her when she comes home tomorrow night." I muttered. Alex's frown turned into a huge grin and he stood up and brought me up with him. He placed his arms around my waist and embraced me in a huge hug. He pulled away and looked into my eye, right before placing his lips onto mine. I happily returned the kiss, feeling Alex smile into the kiss, which made me smile as well. We pulled away from the kiss and he took my hand in his and pulled me with him out of my room. We walked downstairs together and back into the living room.

"Everything okay?" Zack asked with a worried look.

"Everything is just fine." I spoke with a small smile as Alex pulled me onto his lap as he sat on the couch. I looked over to Kara and saw she was cuddled into Jack's side, as she was quickly falling asleep. I heard a knock on the door and I tried to get up. But Alex kept me held to him with his arms around my waist, and head on my shoulder.

"Alex. I need to get the door." I said with a small laugh. He sighed and reluctantly let me go. I got up and walked over to the front door where the knock came from. I opened the door and was a short, brown-haired girl. My eyes went wide. How did she know where I lived?

"Lisa?" I asked confused. I looked over at the boys and Alex jetted up from his seat and ran over to my side.

"Oh, hello Alex." Lisa said. "You spend a lot of time here don't you?"

"I spend every waking moment I can here. That way I can be with my two favorite girls in the world." Alex spoke, putting a arm around my waist and brought me closer to his side. I smiled at him when he spoke, knowing he was talking about not just me. But Kara as well. And that made me pretty damn happy.

"Okay, whatever. I don't care." Lisa spat.

"What are you doing here? And how did you know where I lived?" I asked still confused.

"I followed you home on day. No biggy." Lisa spoke with a grin.

"That's not creepy at all..." I spoke slightly scared, as I tensed up. I could tell Alex knew what I was feeling, since he held onto me tighter.

"You still didn't answer my first question. What are you doing here?" I asked looking at her with a glare.

"I came for my boyfriend. Alex." She spoke.
