Somewhere In Neverland

Chapter One.

Wendy's POV

~* Three Years Later *~

I had just finished unpacking all my stuff in my new room. It was starting to look like home, I shouldn't even start to call it that. This would be our third home in the past four months. But, my Mother said we would be here for a while. So I guess it's okay if I call it home.
I just finished putting up all my band posters, consisting of Blink, Green Day, Yellowcard, and so on. I closed my bedroom door and walked downstairs.

"Hey Mom." I said when I walked into the kitchen.

"Hey Hun. I have to go to work now, I made you and Kara some lunch. It's right over there. You guys can go out and have a look around the new neighborhood. Just be careful and be back in by 10pm understand?" She spoke as she grabbed her keys.

"Sure Mom. Thanks for the lunch." I said grabbing a sandwich from the plate.

"Okay sweetheart! Tell Kara I said goodbye! Love you both!" My Mother shouted from the front door. I shouted by with a 'I love you too, and a okay." then I heard the door shut, indicating that she has officially left for work. No matter where we live, my Mom is never around anymore, she works so many jobs to try and give us the best life she can. I understand where she is coming from, being a single Mom with two growing children. But, I just wish that she could be home sometimes, maybe just have a girls day with Kara and I. Even if it's only for about ten minutes.

"Hey Wen." Kara spoke as she walked into the kitchen, pulling me out of my train of thought.

"Hey Kara. Mom had to leave for work, she told me to tell you that she loved you and that she would be back later tonight." I spoke taking another bite of my sandwich.

"Okay." She said opening the freezer and pulling out her bottle of water she put in there earlier.

"Here. Mom made us lunch, eat up. We are going to go and explore the new neighborhood." I said sliding the plate over to her. She took the sandwich off the plate and took a huge bite. She may only be 14, but damn can this girl eat.

We finished eating our sandwiches and went upstairs to change our outfits. Me, putting on a Blink-182 shirt, and a pair of dark purple skinny jeans. I brushed my hair and put on my black vans. My hair was not working out the way I hoped, so I just put on my dark purple beanie, plus, it went perfect with my outfit. I walked out of my room and back downstairs, to see my sister sitting on the couch waiting for me.

"Nice outfit girly." I said with a smile. Kara and I both had the same style, as well as the same music taste. That's why we are so close I guess, because we can relate to each other much more through music then our own words.

"Thanks! Same with you! I was going to wear my Blink shirt, but then I was like, nah, feels like a Green Day kinda Day." She said jumping up from the couch with a laugh.

"Good! I don't want to be all matchy-matchy on our first day here in Baltimore. Let's go!" I said walking over to the door and opening it. I let Kara go out before me, and I locked the door behind us.

"So, where shall we go first sister dear?" I asked as we started down the side-walk.

"I saw this park a few streets over. How about there?" She asked looking over to me.

"Sure. I could swing right about now." I said with a laugh. I pulled out my phone and turned it all the way up, blaring Blink's What's my age again?. Kara and I were singing and dancing all the way down the road. Soon the park came into our view.

"Race ya?" Kara asked with a smirk.

"Oh your on!" I shouted as I took off to the park. Her not far behind. I got to the swings first. "Ha! Best be stepping up your game if you ever want to beat me kid!"

"Whatever! I so almost had you! You got a head-start! It was so unfair!" She said laughing.

"Keep telling yourself that." I said with a laugh. I looked around and saw we were not the only one's at the park. There were four boys on the other end of the park. I hope they like Blink, because I'm not turning off my music.

"So, what time does Mom get off work tonight?" Kara asked after a few minutes of us swinging.

"She don't get all till 5am I think. So it's just us tonight." I said looking down.

"Yeah. Like always." She sighed. She looked up from the ground. "Wendy, those four boys are coming straight over here." She whispered over to me, not taking her eyes off the boys. I looked up and saw, indeed they were coming over. I laced my hand with my sisters just in-case. I never trusted guys, not since I saw what my Father did three years ago.

"Look, Kara, if I say run. I want you to run, run till you get home." I spoke quietly into her ear. She nodded her head, knowing I don't trust guys, mostly guys we don't know. I watched as all four boys came and stood in front of us.
