Alex POV

I woke up with my arm around a thin waist and a warm body pressed to my chest. I opened my eyes and saw Wendy was still asleep. Now I remembered how I ended up cuddling her. Jack had kicked me off of the couch and no one really likes sleeping on the floor. I got up and was very careful to not wake up Wendy as I got out of bed. I looked down at her as she slept. Wow, that sounded really creepy. It might've been but she was just so adorable as she slept.

I walked down the stairs carefully. Rian was standing in the kitchen looking frantically for what I could only assume was a coffee maker. I tried not to make a sound as I went to get a cup of water. I knew he was going to say something. One of the tickets I gave away was for Lisa and they all knew that. I was going to take another girl over my own girlfriend. Did that mean i was cheating? I didn't think I was, I mean Lisa would understand. She was very levelheaded.

"I hear you Alex, you aren't stealthy," I heard Rian behind me.

"I don't want a lecture from you. It's the fucking morning I'm not in the mood," I muttered.

"Alex, you're ignoring your girlfriend for this girl. I get that you want to keep her safe but you are now ignoring your girlfriend to do so. Put yourself in Lisa's shoes. How would you feel if she were to start spending all her time with some other guy?"

"Rian, can you just stop being mature for like five seconds please and thank you. It's too damn early for this."

"Do you really think Lisa isn't going to find out? Why are you so determined to figure Wendy out?"

"Isn't it obvious," Zack said, coming into the kitchen.

"I fucking knew it," Jack screamed from the living room.

I gave Zack a death-glare as I left the kitchen. I looked around the corner and saw a tiny girl trying to hide from my eyes. Kara had heard the entire conversation. Her and Wendy had a close relationship so it was obvious what I was worried about.

"Who's Lisa," she asked quietly.

"My girlfriend," I said simply.

"You have a girlfriend?"

"Yeah, look, don't tell Wendy anything you heard. I mean you can tell her I have a girlfriend if you really want to but please leave the rest out."

She didn't say anything and that worried me. I climbed back up the stairs to see if Jack's yelling had woken up Wendy, I was really hoping it hadn't. I opened her door carefully and saw Wendy sitting up wiping her eyes. She looked like a combination of pissed off and a little sad. Her eyes locked onto me and a smile spread across her face.

"Sorry, Jack doesn't understand that sometimes you need to use an inside voice," I said.

"It's fine, it was getting a little late anyway," she laughed. "What was he screaming about?"

"It's Jack, who knows?"

She laughed and followed me back down the stairs. We walked into the kitchen and Rian was still wandering around to find the damn coffee pot. That kid and his coffee. It was seriously a drug and he was WAY more than addicted. Do they have coffee rehab? I felt my phone vibrate and I saw I had a text from Lisa. She was going to be so pissed.

"I gotta go guys," I called to the group before leaving.

I began to walk to her house which was a few neighborhoods over. Was there anyway I could say this where it wouldn't sound bad? Like, the truth wasn't even an option to tell her but she would call me out on a lie in a heartbeat. Fuck, I really screwed up. Good job Alex, you've gotten good at fucking everything up, I thought.

I raised my hand tentatively to knock on the door. A girl that was about half my size scared the hell out of me. She was ridiculously tiny but she would kick my ass in a heartbeat. I raked my fist against the wooden door. I heard running and the door opened quickly. I was pulled into the house and immediately attacked by hungry lips.

"I fucking love you Alex," Lisa growled seductively.

"I gave away your ticket," I said in response.

What the fuck did I just say. That doesn't even make sense with what she said. The fuck Alex! I looked at her and attempted to smile. The look on her face was enough to scare a grown man. I was fucked.

"To whom Lexxy? Who's more important than your girlfriend," she said in that tone.

"A friend," it came out as more of a question.

"Oh, you don't know if they are a friend?"

"No, I'm pretty sure she's just a friend."

"Oh, you're pretty sure that she's just a friend?"

"No, I mean- I think- I mean- Wen is just- she's not- just- I think- she's a friend."

She was beyond pissed. Why was I such a stammering mess? I knew what was about to happen. Even though I liked Wendy more I was not ready to have my heartbroken by my first really serious girlfriend. I thought I was going to marry Lisa. I wasn't mad that Wendy had come into the picture, I just wish she had done so before now.

"You know what Alexander, it seems like you have found someone truly special. Why don't you go spend your time with her? Obviously she means so much more to you than I ever could have," sarcasm dripped from her words.

"Lis, I love you, please, don't do this," I begged.

"No, leave. We are so through. Go spend your time with this girl who is obviously so important and special. Get out of my house."

I walked out, a few tears escaping from my eyes. I didn't know what to do so I dialed Zack's number on my phone. Once it connected I told him everything that happened.

"So wait, you and Lisa are through," he asked.

"Yeah because I admitted my feelings for Wendy on accident," I screamed in anger and pain.

There was nothing but silence on the other end. Zack was quiet but he wasn't usually like this on the phone. I heard nothing for a few seconds and followed shortly after was snickering. Why the fuck was someone snickering at my pain? They could go suck a cock for all I care.

"Why the fuck are you so quiet Zack," I screamed.

"Alex, the phone was on speaker."

I decided that getting this update out was more important than my stats projects. You know, priorities. I hope you enjoy. Freaking Zack and his speaker phone. Guess Kara doesn't need to stay quiet now.
