Christmas Eve was usually when we had the band over to party. But this year was different because of our new addition to the family. We had enough common sense to not get drunk with our child in the house. But for the rest of the band, they thought differently. So we ended up kicking them out before they made too much noise, because Alexander was finally asleep.
The Christmas tree was filled with presents for little Alex. I got my fiance a few things as well. Alex sat on the couch, watching his space shows he enjoys when he can’t sleep. I wonder couldn’t sleep. Actually, I do remember him mentioning something about he was worried Little Alex wouldn’t have a great Christmas. Was he still stressing about that?
I walked over, wrapping my arms around his neck gently. “Hey Lexy. You okay?”
Alex out his hands over my arms. “Just worried.” He sighed. “I really want this to be the best for him ya know?” I kissed his hair. “I know. And you’re doing an amazing job okay? This will definitely be the best Christmas for him. Stop worrying. He’s going to jump up and down tomorrow, running around because it’s Christmas morning. We better get to bed, because he’ll beat our alarm clock shaking us awake. All kids are like that.” I nuzzled my head into the crook of his neck. “Alright. I guess we better get to bed then.” He chuckled.

I was right. Little Alex was jumping on our bed, shouting happily.
“It’s Christmas! Get up, get up, get up!” Alex groaned, but got up anyway. I laughed at his grouchiness. On any other day, this would be vise versa. But I was to happy seeing Alexander jumping around to be grumpy.
I was in the kitchen, attempting to make breakfast, while Alex and Little Alex were sitting on the couch watching Home Alone. Little Alex wanted to watch it before they opened anything, which I thought was the cutest thing. I brought out plates of bacon, eggs and pancakes, and we ate while watching the movie. Today was just perfect.
When the movie ended, Alex switched the t.v to a music channel that played a bunch of pop punk bands. Little Alex smiled wide as one of our songs started to play. “That’s you guys!!” Alex and I laughed.

Little Alex opened up his guitar, and flipped. “OH MY GOSH!!” He hopped up and down. Alex already opened the stuff I got him, and I opened the stuff he got me. Little Alex had alot more stuff he could open, but he told us to leave it and teach him something. Maybe he’d become as determined about music as we were. How cool would it be if he started a band?
He’d most likely get noticed alot easier then most, him being the son of Me and Alex.
So me and Alex sat down with him, and taught him the basics. He got the hang of it really quickly, as if it was in his blood. So the first time he picked up that guitar, he laerned his favortie song by us, Jasey Rae.

I was so proud of him. He killed it. After learning something on his new guitar, he opened the rest of his presents. But nothing got a huge reaction out of him as the guitar did. Now we sat watching another movie we found on the t.v. channels. Little ALex sat playing the song, and me and Jack cuddled. “Daddy! This was the best Christmas ever!” He giggled, playing the song over again. All my worries washed away. And happy tears evem came to my eyes. I thought I’d fail at this whole father thing, but I seem to be doing just fine. And with Jack at my side, it’s alot easier.
