Could it be one where they've been dating for a few years and they're out at a romantic dinner and then after they're done eating dinner but before dessert Jack makes a small speech on how much he loves her and such and then he proposes?

I was currently sitting in the passenger seat of my boyfriends car. He had to quickly run back inside real quick, seeing as he is an idiot and forgot his wallet. But, on the other hand, it’s a good thing we caught it before we arrived at the place we were having dinner. Tonight was our four year anniversary, and Jack wanted to treat me to something special. I told him before he even set the plans up that I would be perfectly fine with staying inside and just cuddling on the couch as we watched a few movies. But, with Jack being Jack, he always has to do things the extravagant way. Just as I finished my conversation with the thoughts in my head, the driver’s side door opened and Jack plopped down into the seat. He smiled over at me and spoke. “Now, now we can go to dinner.” I giggled at him as he struggled to get his seatbelt on. It was a little odd that he was having trouble with the smallest of things today.

All day long, Jack has been acting like he is stressing over something, but I had no clue as to what it would be. I have been wanting to ask him about it, but everytime I try to bring it up, he just shrugs it off and says that everything is perfectly fine. I knew he was lying every second, but Jack is stubborn as hell, and there was no way I was going to get an answer out of him if he didn’t want me to know something. I was broken from my train of thought as he spoke up. “You look amazing, Nic. Absolutely stunning.” I looked over to him and gave him a loving smile, to which he returned, before looking back at the road.

“You look incredible, Jacky.” I said to him. He had on a black suit, with a white undershirt. Also sporting a dark purple tie, which was the color of my dress. He thought it would be a cute idea to be all matchy-matchy. I didn’t mind at all, I loved his cheesiness that he had. It made him just that much more perfect.

By the time I was finished talking to myself in my mind, we arrived at the restaurant, and Jack quickly jogged over to my side of the car, opening up my door for me. I got out and thanked him, then laced my arm with his as he held it out to me. We walked the short walk to the door and he opened it up for me, letting me walk in first. “Such a gentleman.” I giggled.

“Anything for you m’love.” He said with that geeking, adorable grin of his. We walked up to the waiter standing at the small desk and he spoke again. “Reservation under Barakat.” The waiter looked down at the book in front of him and smiled.

“Table for two?” He questioned.

“That would be the one.” Jack smiled back at the man. He grabbed two menus and told us to follow him, to which we did. He led us to a booth, somewhat in the middle of the room. I loved the fact that the tables were spaced out, so we could get around easier, and have more time to ourselves.

“He is the table. I will be right back to take your order.” The young waiter said before walking off again.

“This place is beautiful, Jack.” I said as I looked around.

“Only the best for my beautiful queen.” He spoke to me as he reached over the table and laced our fingers together, sending butterflies flying around in my stomach. After all these years, he still has me swooning over him. “Now let’s order.” He chuckled, as if he knew how much I really loved him.

Our dinner came not longer than ten minutes after we ordered, and we were just about to order our dessert when Jack stood up from his seat and called out to everyone to get them to quiet down. I looked up at him confused as he grabbed my hand and pulled me up with him. “No matter what I’m about to say, promise me you won’t laugh in my face.” He spoke with his goofy grin. I giggled a bit at his choice of words.

“I promise.” I agreed to him. He took both of my hands in his and took a deep breath.

“Nicole. My love. You are my everything, my life, the person I can’t live without. You mean the world to me, because you are my world. I love the small moments we have together. Like that time I lost my guitar pick, and you giggled every single time I passed you because you had it in your hand.” He stopped to shake his head and laugh a bit, making me laugh as well. He looked back down at me and straight into my eyes. “I love your laugh, your smile, your eyes. I love everything about you.” He let go of both my hands and used one of his to reach into his pocket. He pulled out a small black, velvet box, and got down on one knee. I put my hands over my mouth as I was in a state of shock. I didn’t think anything of this, I didn’t even know Jack was thinking like this. “Nicole. Will you do me the honor, by making me the happiest person alive, by agreeing to marry my idiot self?” I giggled a bit, and used both of my hands as I wiped the few stray tears that managed their way down to fall.

I nodded my head quickly and spoke. “Yes. Yes I’ll marry you.” I smiled the biggest smile I could when I seen his face light up like a kids on Christmas. He got off of his knee and took the ring out of the box, placing it onto my finger and bringing me into a huge hug, as everyone in the restaurant cheered. I pulled away from the hug a bit and put my hand on the back of his neck, bringing down his head and placing my lips onto his for a small, yet passion filled kiss. It didn’t last long, but it said all the words that both of us needed to say. The unspoken words that are so simple to say, so easy to tell one another. I love you.
