Twenty

I woke the next morning and I felt horrible. I got out of the bunk and ran to bathroom as fast as I could. Once inside I kneeled down and hurled into the toilet. I groaned in agony as I kept going. As I was spiting more of my stomach acid out, I felt familiar hands rubbing my back and holding my hair behind me. When I was finally done, I sighed heavily and flushed the toilet before rising to brush my teeth to rid me of the awful taste.
“Are you alright, babe,” Alex asked quietly.
“Not really,” I mumbled as I held my toothbrush against my cheek while still brushing my teeth.
“I take it that was your first time having morning sickness,” he asked. I nodded.
I spat out the toothpaste and rinsed out my mouth with water before turning around to face my boyfriend. I started to think about what our baby would like look. Would he or she look like me more or like Alex, or a balance between us?
“What are you think about, Bonnie,” Alex asked as he set me up on the counter.
“What our baby will look like. Do you think he or she will like me or you more,” I asked him as I rested my hand on my still flat stomach.
“I hope our baby will resemble you more. I’d hate for our baby to get my big forehead and eye brows,” he smiled and kissed me tenderly, “For now we should focus on get through the rest of the tour and make sure you are taken care of. After what happened with Jason, I’m worried that one wrong move can cause a miscarriage.”
“You have a point. I’m also cutting off my drinking. For the baby to be happy and healthy,” I took hold of left hand and placed it against my bump-less tummy.
“I think we’ll make great parents, Bonnie. If our baby has any issues like we do, we can help him or her through them and offer nothing but love and understanding,” he cooed.
“You’re going to be a great dad, Alex. I can see it,” I told him.
“I see you being a great mom too, Bonnie,” Alex kissed my forehead and helped me down off the counter.
Alex and I were sitting at the table in the front lounge in front of his laptop, browsing baby name sites. I wanted to find the perfect name for our baby. One combination of first and middle name for a boy and the same for a girl, so when I get far enough along that we can find out the gender of the baby we’d have an option for a boy and an option for a girl. I was hoping for a girl and I was pretty sure Alex was hoping for a boy.
“How about Thomas Alexander for a boy’s name, Bonnie? I’ve always wanted to name my future son after my brother and myself. As a way to honor him and everything. My tattoo alone won’t do him justice,” Alex commented.
“I like it. Now I never told you who my favorite Disney princess was. I was thinking for a girl we could go Aurora Rose since Aurora is my favorite Disney princess. We can spoil her and make her feel like a princess,” I told him.
“And while we spoil her like a princess, I’ll be spoiling you like a queen,” Alex kissed my neck right on my fading hickey make my breath catch in my throat.
“Hey, we’d like to start our day without you two getting to second base,” Matt griped.
“Kill joy,” Alex stuck his tongue out at his tour manager like a small child.
Nyssa and Jack ventured out and I had a smirk on my face. Jack saw it and flipped me off. I looked at Alex and he was smirking too. Jack then brought up his other hand and flipped him off.
“Morning Nyssa,” I greeted my best friend as she sat down at the table across from us as Jack brought her a mug of coffee.
“Morning Bonnie. Morning Alex,” she replied.
“How did everything go last night,” he asked her.
“Pretty good. I didn’t freak out. I felt really good. I felt normal,” Nyssa spilled some of the details of last night.
“She even wanted to do more, but I told her we’ll try to do more later on. Build it up slowly until we’re 100% ready,” Jack added.
“That’s great. I’m happy for both of you,” I smiled.
“I heard someone getting sick this morning. Is everything alright,” Nyssa asked.
“It was me,” I told her and her expression changed to worry, “It was just morning sickness. It’s a part of being pregnant. I didn’t pin point when I’d start feeling the symptoms exactly right. It’ll pass as I go or it can linger through the entire pregnancy. I know for sure I’ll have to see my mom soon for advice on this and see if she has any recommended readings to help us prepare.”
“Did you guys pick out names yet? Or is it too soon to choose,” Nyssa asked.
“We picked Thomas Alexander for a boy,” I answered.
“And Aurora Rose for a girl,” Alex finished the answer.
“Those are great names. Now where are you guys planning on having the baby,” Jack asked.
“I’m not sure, to be honest. I know we’ll figure it out once we get closer to the due date,” I told him.
“Bonnie,” Alex asked, making me look at him.
“Yes Alex,” I replied.
“It’s not as romantic as I’d like for it to be, but with us expecting a baby I feel I need to ask you now,” he reached into his hoodie pocket and pulled out a ring box and revealed a house key, “Will you move in with me?”
“Hell yeah I will,” I practically screamed with joy as I got up and grabbed my purse that held my keys and brought it back to the table for Alex to put the key on the key ring.
“I’m so happy for you guys right now,” Nyssa cheered happily for us.
“Thank you Nyssa. You are so helping me move in and you are visiting every chance you can. I can’t go without my best friend popping in to visit me,” I gushed as I hugged her tightly.
“It’ll give me plenty of reasons to visit Jack too and go to my favorite crab places in Baltimore too,” Nyssa added.
Wow, everything is changing for us. Nyssa is breaking out of her comfort zone and growing up with Jack. Alex and I are moving in together and are going to having a baby. My entire life changed when I got Nyssa and I out ticket for the Orlando show and when I rammed into Alex on that street corner by our favorite coffee shop. I can never ask for anything better than what I have right now.
