The Night Before

Maya rushed to the bus as fast as she could, when she got their, she saw the bus door hung wide open, she knew Jenna was there.

She rushed inside and started to call out for her.

"Jenna! Where are you! It's just me. Don't worry baby girl!" Maya shouted as she started to make her way to the back of the bus.

She walked by the bathroom and heard running water.

She tried to turn the door knob. Locked.
"Jenna, please, don't do anything stupid. Open the door." Maya said trying to remain calm.

When she didn't get a reply back she started to worry.

"Jenna, please, open the door. It's just me, there is nothing to worry about." She pleaded again.

Still nothing, no sound from the bathroom but running water.

Maya heard the bus door swing open and the boys all rushed in. Without the one who caused it all, Jack. He was still at the bar.

"Maya, where is she? What's going on?" Alex said as he rushed over to the bathroom door next to Maya.

"She's in there, I can hear the water running, but she's not talking, the door is locked, and I'm so scared Alex." Maya said putting her head in Alex's chest.

"It's going to be okay Maya, just calm down. Zack, can you push the door open?" Alex asked looking back at Zack.

"Sure, just back up guys." Zack said as he started to walk over to the door. "Jenna, if you are next to the door, I need you to back up sweetheart." Zack said.

He waited a minute and then rammed his body into the door. The door flew off it's hinges and opened up.

Maya pushed past everyone and ran in.

"Oh my gosh. Jenna, baby girl, can you hear me?" Maya said as she ran over to the past out girl on the floor.

"Zack! I need a towel to cover up her arm to try and stop the bleeding! Now! Alex, anyone! Call 911 now!" Maya said as she pulled the unconscious girl in her lap.

Everyone was at the door just looking at the site to be seen.

Everyone but Alex and Zack, they were doing as told.

Zack pushed everyone out of the way and ran in the bathroom with the towel, he took Jenna's arm and warped the towel around it the best he could. He held it there until he couldn't take it anymore.

Zack ran out of the bathroom with tears in his eyes.

The towel started to fall off, so Rian took Zack's spot and held the towel.

Alex ran back to the bathroom next.

"Called 911, they will be here in a few minutes, Matt, can you go to the door and watch for them?" He asked Matt as he was trying to hold back tears.

"Yeah, I'll be at the door if you need me." Matt said as he ran to the bus door.

Alex entered the bathroom and sat next to Maya pulling her into his side.

He took one hand and was rubbing Jenna's shoulder.

Maya started to cry even more at the thought of losing her best friend.

Alex's heart broke even more when this happened.

He started to whisper sweet nothings into Maya's eye to get her to calm down.

About 5 minutes later, they heard Matt yelling saying the EMT's were there.

Matt rushed to the back of the bus, and over to the bathroom, with the medic's following him.

One with light brown hair and dark brown eyes said to the group in the bathroom "Okay everyone, I know you are scared and worried about her, but I need you to leave the bathroom so we can do our job." Alex and Rian shook their heads and left.

"Ma'am, you need to go to please." He said softly looking at Maya.

"No! She's my best friend! I'm not leaving her!" Maya yelled back at them, more tears coming out.

"Watch out sir, I can get her." Alex said as he put a hand on the medic's shoulder and walked back into the bathroom.

"Come on baby, we have to let them do their job." Alex cooed at Maya as he knelt down next to her.

"Alex, I'm not leaving her." Maya said holding onto the girl in her lap.

"Maya, the medic's need to do their job, if you don't leave the room they can't, the sooner we leave here, the sooner they can make sure Jen's okay." Alex said putting a hand on Maya's back and rubbing circles on her.

Maya let out a few more tears and shoot her head, she moved Jenna off of her lap ever so softly and stood up.

Alex stood up and hugged Maya.

She put her head in him chest, Alex started to walk away, but Maya didn't move.

He didn't want to hurt her heart anymore, so he just picked her up.

Maya swan her legs onto Alex's waist and Alex walked out and straight to the back lounge and sat down with Maya on his lap.

Matt, Zack, and Rian, all came to the back lounge as well.

Everyone was just sitting there, not talking, just sat there with tears and worry in their eyes. A new medic came to the back lounge and spoke to them for a minute.

"We are taking her to the hospital right now, she is in critical state, you guys can follow the ambulance if you would like." He said as he turned around to leave.

"Wait!" Maya shouted after him before he left. "Can Alex and I ride with her?" Maya asked, more tears coming to her eyes.

"Sure, but we need to go now." He said softly as he pointed to the door and started walking.

Maya and Alex jumped up and rushed to follow him.

The rest of the boys followed as well.

"Who's car are we taking?" Matt spoke up looking around.

"You guys go...I'll meet you there...I'm going to go and try to find the dumbass with the name of Jack." Zack said as he walked off.

"Okay...well, Rian, we better get going..." Matt said as they started to walk over to the car to follow the ambulance.

They got to the hospital within 10 minutes. Jenna was rushed to ICU area(intensive care unit).

As she was put in the ICU, the friends could not follow, or go in, until she was awake. So, they all had to stay in the waiting room.

15 minutes later, a pissed off Zack walked in the waiting room with a sober looking, and crying Jack.

Jack saw the group and ran over to them. "Guys I didn't-" He was cut off by Maya.

"Save it asshole." She said as she stood up and walked over to him with her hand making a fist.

Alex saw what she was about to do, and jumped up and grabbed her by the waist and pulled her back.

"Alex! Let me go so I can kick his fucking ass and kill him!" Maya everything but whispered.

"Maya, no, there will be no ass kicking's or killing anymore. Jenna wouldn't want that, now would she?" Alex asked her with his eye brows raised.

"Yes she would." Maya said and tried to run over to Jack again, but was not just pulled back by Alex, but by Zack and Matt this time as well.

"Jack, I think you should sit on the other side of the room right now." Alex said giving Jack a look.

"Yeah...I think I'll do that..." Jack trailed off and walked to the other side.

Maya calmed down a few minutes later and sat back down next to the three boys, as she eyed Jack from across the room.

A tall doctor came out of the room and walked into the waiting room. "Uhh...Jenna Criss?" He said looking around the room.

The group all stood up and walked over to him.

"Oh good, glad you guys are still here. She is awake now if you guys would like to see her." He said with a smile.

"We would love to." Maya said with a small smile on her face.

"Okay then, just follow me and I'll take you to the room myself." He said as he turned around and started down the hall, getting everyone to follow him.

"Here we are, just go on in." He said as they got to a room.

The group all walked into the room and looked at a sitting up Jenna, who had put in her earbuds and was listening to music.

Jenna picked up her head and saw them. She took out her earbuds and gave them a small smile.

"Hey guys." She said waving her hand for them to come over.

She saw the last person walk into the room.

Jack.

Her smile went away.

"What is he doing here?" She asked more bitter then intended.
