Sacrifice

Jacks POV

I went looking for Alex.
I went to the hill and he was sat there looking lost in thought.
Alex looked up and smiled when he saw me.
"Here you are." I said quietly and sat next to him.
Alex rested his head on my shoulder.
"What did you mean you know what it's like?" I asked.
Alex sighed and moved away from me.
"Remember when I said ages ago that humans aren't nice. Some humans enjoy beating other humans up when their kids." He said quietly.
"Guess creatures are the same." I said quietly.
"No, creatures don't go around and beat their kids for the thrill of things. I might
be human but I know that creatures don't hurt their children. Humans are completely different." Alex said and looked at me.
"What you saying? I'm confused." I said trying to figure out what he was talking about.
"What I'm saying is, Morris probably didn't mean to hurt Annie. Annie reminds him of his wife. Which means he is frustrated about something and taking it out on Annie." He said and then thought about something.
"Okay maybe he is like humans." Alex said quietly.
"You said you have been beaten. Did your dad beat you?" I said and looked at him.
"Humans are confusing things. You said that when you first bonded with me." He said with a smile.

We sat in silence for a while.
I noticed Alex shivering a little.
I moved and pulled him to my side hoping it might warm him up a little.
"I still think your confusing." I said and Alex chuckled.
"Can say the same to you." He said quietly.
I smiled and kissed the top of his head.
"Let's go back to the house, your really cold." I said.
Alex shook his head.
"I want to stay up here and watch the sunset and the stars as you said they was really pretty from up here." Alex shivered.
"But your freezing. We can watch the sunset and the stars another day." I said.
"No, I'm staying up here. You can go back if you want but I'm staying here." He said and moved away from me.
"I'm staying with you. I'm not leaving. Not when something is ticking in your head." I said.
Alex smiled.
He moved back next to me and cuddled into my side.
"Did your dad hurt you?" I asked quietly.
"I don't want to talk about it." He said quietly.
"If you do then I'm here and I'll listen." I said and kissed the side of his head.
"I know you'll always be here. Your pretty much my left side." He said and looked at me.
I looked at him and kissed him.

When I next looked at Alex he was asleep.
I smiled and moved and picked him up and slowly walked back to the house.
We got back and Oli looked at us.
"Did you spend all day looking for Alex?" Oli asked quietly.
I shook my head.
"I found him then spent the last 3 hours on the hill." I said quietly.
"Where's Annie?" I asked.
"She's upstairs in the spare bedroom asleep." Hannah said quietly and joined us in the kitchen.
"He asleep?" Hannah asked and looked at Alex.
"Yeah, I'm just gonna put him in the sofa." I said and walked to the sitting room and put him on the sofa and put the blanket over him and kissed the side of his head and walked back out to the kitchen.
"How is he?" Hannah asked.
"I dunno, something is really eating him but what I don't have a clue." I said and had a mouthful of whiskey.
"Work some of your creature charms." Oli said.
"And have my balls chop off. Thanks but no thanks." I said.
Oli chuckled.
"You speaking from experience by any chance." Hannah asked.
"Yes. And Alex said the next time I tried compell him or anything along them lines again my balls will be chopped off and he won't do anything with me for a month." I said.
"Well you defently won't be able to do anything if your balls have been chopped off." Oli said.
"Exactly!" I said.
I heard someone walk out to the kitchen and wrap their arms round my waist.
I knew it was Alex.
"What's up?" I asked quietly.
"Can't sleep, not without you anyway." He said quietly into my back.
"Alex is it true you said you would chop Jacks balls off?" Oli asked.
Alex moved and stood in front of me and I wrap my arms round his waist.
"No!" Alex said and looked at me.
I frowned at him.
"Okay maybe I threatened but I would never do that." He said and kissed me.
"Have some." I said and poured a shot of whiskey and gave it to Alex.
"I don't want it." He said and pushed my hand away.
"It'll help with how your feeling." I said quietly in his ear.
"I'm fine Jack." He said.
"Have the drink. If you don't want anymore then fine." I said and kissed his neck.
Alex had the shot.
He thought about something.
"Give us the bottle." He said.
"Only if you share." I said and nipped his ear.
"Never!" He said and took a big mouthful.

Me and Alex was both pissed and was messing around in the sitting room since Oli and Hannah had gone to bed.
"Ow Jack don't bite my ass!" Alex said loudly.
I laughed and kissed him.
Alex bit my arm making sure he left teeth marks.
"Cannibal." I chuckled.
Alex pushed me onto my back and lead on my chest.
"I'm tired." He yawned.
"Then go to sleep then." I yawned as well.
I didn't get a response and I looked at Alex and he was fast asleep.
I smiled and got comfy and fell asleep as well.
