Sacrifice

Alex's POV

I went into Jacks head to see what was happening since I didn't want to show my face at the moment.
"Welcome back everyone." Oli said.
"Before we start there's some things which need to be said.
First off don't piss Alex off today. He's in a serious grump with everything and everyone. Second I know some off you need to hunt so me and some of the others who know the area will go and get some food for us so we can have a break half way through. Also back to Alex those who played a part in what happened yesterday I hope you stay out off his sight. You know who you are." Oli said and finished.
"We'll meet you in the field we where in yesterday." Bobby said.
That meant they had to walk past me.
"If you see Alex sat on the tree stump don't go near him. Don't speak to him. Don't even look at him cause he will snap your head off." Jack said before everyone left to go to the field.
I couldn't help but smile.
He knew me so well.
I pulled out Jacks head and watched everyone out the corner off my eye.

Once the herd off creatures went past I went to get up.
There was one creature watching me.
"Alex..?" A little voice said.
"Hello Annie." I said quietly.
She over and climbed onto my lap.
"What's the matter Alex?" She asked innocently.
" I don't know sweetie." I whispered and pulled her into a hug.
She returned my hug.
"Annie! Get away from that monster!" He father shouted.
" He's not a monster!" Annie said loudly back at him.
"Yes he is now come!" He said as he grabbed Annie's hand .
I got up and swapped the side Annie was on to the further side away from him.
"I'm not a monster!" I growled.
He stepped back on shock.
"Then what happened yesterday? If that's not a monster than I don't know what is!" He said moving closer to me.
I moved away from him and held Annie a bit tighter.
"It was called protecting my mate! You don't even want to know the story!" I growled.

I felt a hand on my shoulder.
" Alex." Jack said softly.
"He called me a monster!" I said feeling like I was about to cry.
"Don't cry." Annie whispered in my ear.
I looked at her and smiled.
"Alex isn't a monster Morris! He was doing his job and protecting me." Jack said standing in front off me and Annie.
"By beating 3 creatures senseless. I don't call that protecting I call that being a monster." Morris said.
It was taking every once off will power not to give Annie to Jack and show Morris how much off a 'monster' I could be.
Jack noticed this as well.
"Morris go find the others." Jack said.
"Not without Annie." He said looking at me and Annie.
"Go to your dad. I'll see you around." I said quietly and put Annie down.
She looked at me and then went with her father.

Jack turned round and looked at me.
I finally let the tears slowly fall.
Jack came over and pulled me into a hug.
"Don't listen to Morris. He's been bitter since his wife got killed." Jack said quietly.
"He called me a monster. Everyone thinks I'm a monster." I sobbed.
"No we don't." Jack said and rubbed my back.
"Yeah you do." I said.
"No we don't. Annie doesn't think your a monster. Me, Hannah, Oli, Josh, Eddie, Bobby. We don't think your a monster." Jack said pulling back.
I looked down.
I felt two fingers under my chin and gently pushing my face up to look at Jack.
"Don't listen to them. Don't cry, I don't like it went you cry." Jack said quietly wiping the tears away and kissed me softly.
I returned the kiss.
I looked at Jack.
I couldn't help but smile.
"What?" He said.
"Nothing." I shook my head and kissed him again.
I got hold off his hand and we slowly walked to join the others.

When we got there they all turned round and looked.
I hid behind Jack a little.
Bobby looked over and gave us a sorry smile.
"We need to get into pairs." Eddie said.
I looked at Jack who looked at me.
"So let's see how good you are..!" A voice behind me said.
I looked and saw Morris.
"Bring it." I muttered and looked at Jack and kissed him and went off with Morris.
I went into Jack head to see who he was paired with.
He was paired with the girl I was dancing with when I first met Jack.
I knew he would be safe so I got out his head and focused on what we had to do.
"Gifted creatures you do not use your gifts if you are paired with someone who is not gifted. Gifted creatures. You take it in turns to use your gifts." Eddie said.
"This should be entertaining." I muttered to myself.

About an hour later I was nearly dead but I wasn't going to give up.
Even though Eddie said that gifted creatures weren't meant to use it on on anyone who wasn't gifted .
Morris decided that he was going to use his gift.
Unforntantly Morris gift was Earth.
"So what you going to do now shadow boy!" Morris growled.
I had it worked out.
" Oh I don't know." I said sounding like I was about to give up.
Morris fell for the trap.
He let his guard down and I was onto him.
I ran over and knocked him to the ground.
He pushed me off.
Since i was smaller than him I had a advantage over him.
He got up and looked around for me.
I used his height and size and hid behind him moving when ever he moved staying out off his eye line.
Everyone had stopped and watched us.
I found something on the floor and picked it up.
I got back behind him and got the item round his throat.
I held it tight to his throat.
He chuckled.
"Is that the best you got?" He chuckled and threw me over his shoulder and I landed on the floor flat on my back.
Fuck that hurt.
I found something else.
It was like a sword but it wasn't.
I got hold off it and held it to him.
He chuckled.
I pushed it into him slightly.
I then went round behind him again and held it to his throat.
"One move and your dead!" I growled.
Morris rose his hands up to say that I have won.

I slowly brought the sword away from him but I never took my eye off him.
"My for a human your good." Morris said.
I was still on my guard.
"Easy calm down." Morris said with a chuckle.
"Easier said then fucking done." I snapped and left him.
We stopped for a lunch break.
I sat far away from everyone and just stared out into the distance.
Jack came over and joined me.
"I know you where holding back when you where with Morris." Jack said and rested his head on my shoulder.
I rested my head on top off his.
"I could off killed him." I said quietly.
"But you didn't." Jack said.
We sat in silence.
" Its so pretty here. I didn't know anything could be this pretty." I said.
"I like it here. I come up here and think for a while." Jack said.
"Night is better up here. You can see the stars and see how pretty everything down there is." Jack said.
I pulled away.
"Well you'll have to show me." I whispered and looked into his eyes.
Jack reached up and kissed me softly which I returned.
