Some Days Feel Like Razorblades

I called Jack and told him to come over. He already knew where we lived because he would always come home with tom. About ten minutes later there was a knock at the door. I opened it to Jack leaning on the door way.

"Hey" I smiled

"Hey to you too" he smirked

"Come in come in" I took his hand and led him to the living room

We sat on the couch, a foot of space between us.

"So I was thinking on what we should be" I started off

"Me too" he replied

"I was thinking that until I came out we could stay friends with benefits. I hope that okay with you" I cowered back

"If that's what you want to be. Then that's what we will be. I won't push you" he held my hands

"Thanks" I scooted closer to him

"Why are you always so shy" he asked

"Uh-h. I-I've alw-ways been shy. Why do you n-not like it" I stammered

"No no no. It's actually cute. "He pulled me into his lap

"Is this leading to where I think it's leading" I smiled and looked into his deep brown eyes

"Only if you want it to go there" he responded

I didn't say anything else but I brought his lips to mine. Since I was sitting on his lap I was an inch or two taller then he was at the moment so he tilted his chin up to meet my lips. Although I
heard the patio door open and I knew tom had walked in we didn't stop.

"Get a room you two" he laughed

Jack and I break and I laughed against his lips

"What can't handle your brother and your best friend making out" Jack smiled

"Just not used to it. No fucking in the living room. Or while I'm home" he laughed as he platted dinner

"We won't" I responded burying my face in his neck

"Jack are you staying for dinner" tom called from the kitchen

"I have some work to do at home. So I can't" jay sounded sad

"Okay well Alex, dinner is ready and I expect it all to be eaten." Tom scolded

"Whatever. I'm not as underweight as they tell you. The scales there are wrong" I fought back

"Wrong by twenty-seven pounds. I think not. Now eat before you die" tom sounded harsh

"You're twenty-seven pounds underweight" Jack asked scared

"I don't know. Maybe" I shrunk in my place

"Come on" he softly says reaching for my hand

He pulled me off the couch and walked me over to the table. He grabbed my plate off the
counter and grabbed a glass out of the cabinet.

"Eat" he said sternly

"Fine. But only because you're making me" I half smiled

"Did you take your second pill at lunch" tom asked

"Huh" I asked

"Second pill. You take one I'm the morning and then one at lunch. Didn't I tell you" tom ruffled his hair

"You said none of this" I laughed "I knew something was off. But kissing you wasn't" I smiled
and looked at jack

"Same" he smiled and held my hand

"Here take this. I know it's late but it will still help" tom handed me a pill

I took it with water and gulped down a bite of mashed potato

"I actually really do have to get going but want to get coffee tomorrow morning" jack smiled

"Sure. I'll walk you out" I took his hand and led him to the door

"You're cute you know" he smiled

"You're cuter" I shot back

" I don't think so. I'll call you later okay?" Jack smiled

"Okay" I tilted my head up to kiss him

" how can you be such a good kisser" he asked when we pulled apart

"Not sure" I breathed

"As much as I would love to stay my room mate is probably going to call a search party on me soon" jack smiled

"Okay fine. I'll let you leave. I'll text you" I smiled as he walked out the door

I happily ate my dinner and went up to my room. Cass and I texted for a little while then I got a text from jack

Tonight was nice. I'm super tired but I'll pick you up tomorrow for coffee at 10.
