Anything But Ordinary

Alex and I groaned and stopped kissing, pulling our lips off of each other's. I got off of his lap, and Alex and I looked around to see who was here. Jack had brought Zack and Rian home with him. My face heated up, and I looked to Alex.

"Hi," I muttered, hiding my face in my hands. Alex laughed a little. Jack laughed, and I looked up at him.

"Sorry we interrupted. Want us to go?" Jack asked. I stood up.

"No. It's all right. Are you guys staying for dinner?" I asked Zack and Rian. They both nodded. I smiled and looked at Jack.

"Just start dinner," I told him, and Rian and Zack followed him into the kitchen. I turned around, clasping my hands together as I smiled at Alex. I sat down next to him on the couch, taking his hand and lacing my fingers through his. He placed his other hand on my belly, and he pressed a kiss to my lips.

"So...about moving in... with me.." Alex said between kisses.

"We're going to discuss it with my dad," I said as I pulled my lips off of his to talk, kissing him right after. Alex hummed.

"They're at it again," Jack muttered. I smiled as I laughed, pulling away from Alex. I flipped Jack off, smiling at Alex as I did so.

"Come on, Claire. Let's go for a walk," Alex said, standing up. He pulled me up with him, and he let me put some shoes on. We waved to Jack, and we left, my hands in my back pockets.

"You know, you're a fantastic kisser," Alex said, looking down at me with a sly smile. I returned it.

"You're not too bad yourself," I said. I looked ahead of me, waiting for Alex to say something. I only felt him pull me against him, and I smiled up at him, smiling wider when he pecked my lips softly.

"I have to say something..." Alex said. I looked up at him.

"What is it?" I asked.

"I know that everything has been kind of crazy these past six weeks... and I know that we hardly know each other... but I really like you, and I was wondering if-"

"Alex! Oh my god it is you!" Alex and I both turned around, coming face to face with an obvious fan. He released me, smiling down at her.

"Could you sign this for me?" She asked him, holding out a sharpie marker and her phone. He took them, signing them for her while I stood there awkwardly with my hands in my back pockets.

"Thank you so much! Can I get a picture?" She asked him.

"Of course!" Alex said as she opened the camera on her phone. They quickly took the picture, and she hugged him.

"Thank you! I have to go," she said, and she waved as she walked away excitedly. I looked at Alex, who smiled at me.

"What were you going to say?" I asked, and Alex smiled as we walked back the way we came.

"It's nothing," he muttered. I stopped walking, and I grabbed his arm, making him.stop.

"If something's wrong... you can talk to me. You know that, right?" I asked. Alex sighed and turned so he was facing me fully.

"It's not about me," he said with a small laugh, "the timing isn't right anymore. I wanted it to be perfect." I smiled up at him, and I placed both of my hands on his chest.

"Alex. I'm not perfect. I don't need everything in my life to be perfect either," I said. He placed his right hand over my left, and he squeezed it.

"It's just that I really like you, and I was wondering if you'd like to be my girlfriend," he said softly. I bit my lip.

"I would love to," I said, and I wrapped my arms around his neck tightly, pressing my lips against his in a sweet kiss.
