Matthews place

*August 10, 2013*
*Saturday*

I sit in Jacks guest bedroom with my laptop open the walking dead playing distracting me from the world around me. Everybody had left a few hours ago.
“Adam!” I hear a soft giggle from the from the hall outside my room.
“Just up here.” Jack chuckles,
“Mmm babe, why go to the bedroom?” The girl giggles, I groan and close my eyes, Jack took home a one-night stand it seems. I sigh and try to ignore the noises coming from the kitchen.
“Oh… fuck Adam…” The girl moans loudly in the kitchen, of course. I’m going to have to disinfect the entire fucking kitchen. Twice.
“oh OH YES!” I hear Jack again in the kitchen. I grimace and reach out to grab my phone off the bedside table.

Matt – Hey, I’m back. Jack is on his way up, you are warned. I’ll be in my room door is unlocked.

Oh thank god. I walk over to my suitcase and pull out my sweatpants, it’s probably better then running down there in my underwear. I slide them on and sneak out to the door avoiding looking at the kitchen table where Jack seems to be with the girl that’s calling him Adam. I close the door slowly and trot over to the elevator and make my way to the room number Matt gave me earlier today.
The door handle is unlocked lie he said it’d be so I let myself into the room quietly hearing the soft plucking on a guitar. His apartment is smaller then Jack, Alex or Rian’s which all were designed the same. Matt’s is only one level, with a small kitchen and a door that must go into the bedroom, one next to it that must go into the bathroom, but the living room seems to be reasonably sized. With a couch and T.V. there’s a decent gaming station and sound system.
Matthew himself sits on the small balcony, his acoustic guitar that must be his rests in his lap as he plays it pensively. I don’t recognize the tune but it’s sort of romantic, soft but passionate. I walk up behind him slowly before speaking,
“That’s beautiful.” Matt jumps and stops playing, he pivots to look at me,
“Oh! Hey. Thanks,” He grins and sets the guitar to the side, “I didn’t expect you to actually come down here.” I smile and lean against the frame of the sliding door,
“I got sick of listening to the moans of the girl in Jacks room, or should I say Adam?” I smirk at him and step back into the apartment, Matt follows me and chuckles.
“He can’t use his real name. In case he gets googled you know. We don’t need that getting out to the press or the fanbase that you can get a lucky night on the Baltimore town and get to fuck Jack.” He steps ahead of me and takes a seat on the couch, I follow him and sit close next to him, sort of hoping to be able to get back the way we were last night.
“I guess that makes sense.” I smile at him politely not really interested.
“What did you have in mind when you came up here?” Matt holds an arm out to me making it seem like he can read my mind.
“I don’t know,” I shrug and slide over leaning into his side putting my feet up on the couch leaning further into him,
“Want to just watch T.V. or something?” He pushes some hair out of my face.
“Depends.” I smile up at him, “What show?” slowly I start to turn on my stomach and worm my arms around his waist.
“I liked the walking dead.” He grins down at me and bites down on his lip ring messing with it absent mindedly,
“Yeah.” I mutter trying to keep my eyes off his lips and refrain from leaning up and kissing them. After what happened at the crab shack I’m afraid that that isn’t what he would want from me. He made it pretty clear that he wasn’t interested. But then again he did cuddle with me all of last night. He didn’t mind when people talked about us and Jack said that he liked me. Well, at least he made it pretty clear that he did.
I continue to think my eyes slowly trail off of Matt’s face in thought, I faintly feel his hand rub against my back as he sets up the episode. I should try to make a move tonight. Or is it too early? I don’t want to push him. I snap out of my trance when the theme starts playing around us. This surround sound isn’t going to be making this T.V. show any less scary.
“You okay?” Matt raises an eyebrow at me with an amused look on his face,
“Oh. Uh. Yeah, why would I not be?” I ask him as innocently as I can.
“You just look… I don’t know, you looked like you were out of your head for a second there.” He chuckles and pushes my hair back. “Are you sure you want to watch this right now?” He raises an eyebrow at me.
“Yes. Of course I do.” I say immediately, “I was just thinking about two nights ago.” I blush, it takes a minute before a expression of realization washes over his face.
“I see.” He says the humor wiped clean from his face,
“Do you still feel that way?” I look away and speak sheepishly, afraid of what his answer will be, “No. Never mind. Don’t tell me. I don’t want to ruin my relationship with you. I mean I like you Matt and I think jack helped me realize that but I totally get if you’re not into me. I mean, I’m not particularly attractive or funny, and I’m sure there are hundreds of girls out there that would be more interesting and pretty that are interested in you…” I start to ramble avoiding eye contact with him trying to wipe away the question. Make him forget that I even asked, it was stupid of me and I should have thought about it first.
“Hanna…” Matt sighs and looks down at me,
“Please, Matt I don’t want to know the answer. I really don’t think this is a very good time or something. I think we should talk about this later. If you want to I mean…”
“Hanna…” Matt sighs,
“…and I only want to if you want to because I don’t want to make you feel uncomfortable. You know. I don’t want your relationship and time with me to be ” I start to ramble again. I only stop talking when I feel Matt’s hand on my cheek,
“Please, could you just stop talking?” He chuckles and slowly pulls me back up into a sitting position so that we’re even.
“Rude much?” I say in a pitiful attempt to be sarcastic, he ignores my comment and slides his hand from my cheek to the back of your neck..
“I’ve been thinking about what happened two nights ago at the crab shack, and I’ve decided that if you’re up for it, I’m willing to try this. But we have to agree that if it doesn’t end up working we won’t hate each other and we will try to work out our problems as friends because I don’t want either of us to loose our jobs or make work incredibly awkward.” As he talks he slowly slides his hand down to my shoulder.
“So you’re saying…” I blush and look at him trying to be sure I heard his words correctly. I mean I could be completely imagining things right now couldn’t I?
