All I Ever Wanted

Alex insisted that I stay the night at his house again, but I told him that I'd already been away from home and Tori for a couple days too long and that I needed to go home, and he obliged and took me there.

Alex walked me up the pathway to the front door, and he pulled me into his arms, kissing me delicately. I smiled into the kiss, and then I pulled away to gaze up at him.

"Have a good rest of your night, Lizzy," Alex said softly. I pressed a kiss to his cheek.

"You too, Gaskarth," I smiled. He gave me a cheeky grin, and stepped off the porch. We waved to each other and he walked down the pathway, and I turned and unlocked the door, pushing it open and stepping inside.

"Hey, Lizzy," Dan muttered as I stepped into the living room.

"Hey Dan. What's up?" I asked.

"Not much just waiting for Tori to calm down. She's still kinda freaked out that she's pregnant," Dan said, standing up as he said it. I nodded.

"Honestly I would be too... it's gonna be hard," I told him. He nodded.

"Tori and I were actually talking... and we were thinking that we might want to move out, just for some privacy, you know?" he said. I swallowed and nodded my head slowly.

"Yeah... um that sounds like a good idea. I just.. Tori and I bought this place together and I don't know what I'd do without her. We've been living here together for years. But, I totally see where you're coming from. Just tell me it's not soon?"

"Not for another couple of months. We still need to find a place." I nodded, mulling it all over in my head. This would mean I'd be living on my own for the first time in my life, and it was freaking me out a little bit.

I dismissed myself to go to bed, and I walked back to my room, plopping face down into my pillow.

I woke up the next morning, feeling groggy. I immediately grabbed my phone and turned it on, seeing a couple texts from Alex. I smiled and opened them.

Hey wanna hang out today?
Nvm I can't. I have band stuff to do today

I sighed, and I tossed my phone down next to me on my bed. What was I supposed to do with my time today? It's not like I had a job to go to. Then it hit me. I should probably get a job since it had been a while since I'd gotten fired from my last one. I grabbed my laptop off my nightstand and started the search for a decent paying job.

I was unsuccessful. I shut my laptop, annoyed that literally no one around me was hiring. How was anyone supposed to live if no one was offering any jobs? I huffed and got up out of bed just as my phone started ringing. It was Alex, so I answered it.

"Hey hot stuff," I said, a smirk on my face.

"'Sup, beautiful?" Alex asked. I grinned.

"Not much, just finished looking for a job and guess what? Literally no one is hiring," I told him as I walked out to the kitchen to get something to eat.

"Huh. What kind of a job are you looking for?" he asked.

"Anything. Decent pay, decent hours," I replied, finding a box of cereal on top of the refrigerator. Alex hummed in my ear.

"Funny you should mention that, actually," he said. I paused what I was doing, and I furrowed my brow.

"What?" I asked, clearly confused.

"Well, I just got out of a meeting with my manager. He needs someone to work part-time selling merch. Vinny is off for some reason and won't be returning for a while, and we need someone." I thought it over.

"And you think I'd be good enough for that position?" I asked, feeling a little bubble of excitement in the pit of my stomach. Alex hummed.

"Yeah I do.. the only downside is that you'll be like the only chick on a bus full of guys," Alex said.

"Honestly I don't even mind. When do I start!?"

This was my first time ever doing something like this. I was getting to go around the country selling merchandise with my boyfriend and his band. It was surreal to me that I'd gotten this opportunity. Alex was picking me up whenever, and I was a little nervous as I got myself ready, making sure that I was packed and had everything I would need. Alex had sent me a checklist and I'd gone over it about six times. I packed my last essential items: hairbrush, toothbrush, assorted chapsticks, lady products, etc.

There was a knock at my door, and I heard Tori answer it, letting whoever it was in. I walked out, eyes locking on Alex, and I smiled at him. He was with Jack too.

"Ready?" he asked. I grinned.

"More than ready, you have no idea," I said.

"Need help with your bags?" Alex asked, noticing three of them by the couch. I nodded and grabbed my carry-on, because we were heading to the airport. Alex and Jack both picked up a bag, and I grabbed the last one, prepared to follow them out the door, but not before I hugged my best friend and Dan goodbye.

"I'll see you guys when I get back. You'll have to send me your new address, though," I smiled. They both nodded and I hugged them again before following Alex and Jack out the door. I was so excited.

oh my god it's been a fucking year since I last updated this story. I believe i've been working on this for two years and what the fuck idk why i just never updated, but here's a chapter for you guys. damn im so sorry i kinda just stopped writing for a while.
