Josh was making a move. Jack was going slow. I am so not good at figuring out who would be the best match for Nyssa. I never warned Josh about how Nyssa is very sensitive to things and Jack knows since I’ve been warning him to be careful. I need to let Jack in on why Nyssa is the way she is. He needs to step in now. He needs to be open with her. She can’t make the mistake and get hurt by Josh when he over steps her boundaries.
“I’m going to go see Jack. Go hang with Alex and Vic for a bit okay. Do not make a final decision with Josh yet,” I told her and took off for the bus to find Jack. I got lucky to find him pouring himself some Jameson.
“Did you talk to Nyssa,” he asked, he sounded a little pissed off.
“Yeah she told me about Josh. Forget what I told you about being careful. Make your move before Josh breaks her and she isolates herself from everyone. I want her to be happy like I am. She deserves to be happy. I think you can do that for her,” I told him.
“Are you sure? Because doesn’t seem interested in me like I am into her,” he replied with a slight attitude.
“Nyssa acts the way she does because her mind works differently compared to yours or mine. She takes time to process things. Tell how you feel. Tell her about the kiss. Or even just kiss her,” I told him. I was sick of him making excuses.
“She knows,” he asked, he just confirmed it for me.
“She’s got an idea about. You just confirmed it with me. Now go get your girl,” I encouraged him to get Nyssa. I knew she’d be happier with him. I just hope she’ll explain her dyspraxia to him in greater detail.
I decided to clean up Jack’s mess before I left the bus to go find Alex again so we can give Nyssa and Jack private time to talk things over. With a luck and pixie dust, I might have made Nyssa the perfect match that will last her a lifetime. I hope.

I went after Bonnie when she went to go see Nyssa. I didn’t want to take my eyes off her, but by the time I got to one of the many dressing rooms backstage, Nyssa called me into the one she and Vic were chilling out in.
“Hey Nyssa, have you seen Bonnie,” I asked her.
“She went to talk with Jack about something,” Nyssa replied. My girl is playing match maker. Hopefully this will go well for both Jack and Nyssa. If not, we are going to have a lot of issues.
“Oh. Do you want to talk about Jack,” I asked her as I took a seat on the other couch in the room next to Vic.
“No,” Nyssa replied sheepishly.
“How do you like the tour so far,” Vic asked to recover from the awkward end of my attempt to start conversation.
“It’s been pretty fun for the most part I guess. With what happened yesterday with Bonnie, everything got pushed a step back on the fun scale,” she answered.
“Well with the rest of the tour, we’ll all get better at helping both you and Bonnie out when things get dicey,” I told her.
“Thanks Alex,” Nyssa replied, “You know I’ve never seen Bonnie this happy before.”
“Really,” I was flattered that Nyssa was saying I was making Bonnie happy. Which is amazing since Bonnie’s been making me happy too.
“Yeah. I can tell that you two are perfect for each other,” she added.
“Thanks Nyssa, that means a lot to me. Do you mind if I ask you about Bonnie,” I wanted to know a little bit about where Bonnie’s from since we only talk about her life in Orlando.
“Um I guess I can tell some things about her. What do you want to know,” Nyssa replied.
“I can tell she’s not a Florida native. Do you know where she’s from,” I asked.
“Um,” Nyssa hesitated for a moment.
“I’m from the boring state of Michigan,” Bonnie answered as she appeared in the doorway. Jack was just behind her, “Nyssa, Jack wants to talk to you alone for a moment. If that’s alright.”
“That’s fine. I guess you can ask Bonnie about herself,” Nyssa said as she walked out of the dressing room. I think Bonnie is a little mad I went to Nyssa to learn more about her. I’m going to be paying for it later, I think.

I was a little mad at Alex for going to Nyssa to ask about my family background and where I’m really from. I mean I never brought it up since I wasn’t very comfortable back home. But it was a little inconsiderate of him to ask Nyssa about me.
“Can I talk to you alone, Alex,” I asked, my arms now crossed over my chest.
“Yeah, I’ll catch you later Vic,” Alex got up and walked into the hallway.
“See ya later Alex,” Vic waved after Alex before he and I walked off to a different part of the venue, away from everyone else so we could talk alone.
“I’m a little mad at you,” I told him.
“I’m sorry. I was curious and I didn’t know how long you’d be with Jack for. Plus I wanted to start a conversation with Nyssa so it wasn’t silent and awkward while we waited. But can you tell me about your life before Florida,” he was desperate to know. I wasn’t really one to share, but he deserved to know everything about me.
“Well I can tell you my parents are very traditional. They met in high school and got married in college. My dad works as an engineer for Ford and my mom is a real estate agent. I have four brothers, here older and one younger. My oldest brother, Travis is a trauma surgeon. My next oldest brother, Dustin, is a prison guard. My third oldest brother, Bryan, is a cop. Then my younger brother, Nathan, is currently in the Marines going through their ROTC program at Ohio State. I’m the family black sheep that major in music management and minored in photography. My parents barely talk to me anymore and the same went with Travis, Dustin, and Bryan. Nathan is the only one I keep in contact with the most since he and I are so much closer. So being ignored by a majority of my family is why I don’t talk about Michigan. The only time I’ll mention my home state is to rip on the Lions or cheer for the Red Wings and Tigers,” I explained everything to him, holding back my tears.
“I’m so sorry, Bonnie. For everything you had to put up with. Your family is supposed to love you. So we’ll be your family. All of us. You won’t be alone,” he pulled into a hug and I finally released the flood gate and cried heavily into his chest.
“Thank you, Alex,” I sobbed.
“Oh and one more thing,” I looked up at him.
“How can you love the Tigers? The Orioles are way better,” he joked, making me smile a little.
“Well I made up for that by rooting for the Ravens since I could remember,” I told him.
“You just made me love you more,” he smiled and kissed me before he wiped my tears from my cheeks.
“I didn’t think that was possible,” I smiled and leaned against his chest again. I just wanted to enjoy this simple moment and let the bitter history I had go away.
“Alex,” Flyzik called as he popped up around the corner, “Ten minute warning. Go get ready.”
“Showtime,” I smiled as Alex lead me back through the venue to the dressing rooms for him to get ready to go on.
