Shameless

I woke up with a smile on my face.
I was laying on Jack’s chest, feeling his right arm strongly wrapped around my waist, even in his sleep.
I remember the last time I woke up to this.. It was a pretty painful memory. He told me he didn’t want me and he kicked me out. But I knew that this time was different.
Jack likes me.
He has feelings for me. He confessed it to me two nights ago. When he tried to talk about it with me yesterday and apologize, I just had to cut him off. I didn’t want him to ruin it or take it back.
So, we had sex. Great sex, might I add. And then we both smiled and fell asleep.
I then remember waking up in the afternoon and we talked. Not about what we were or anything serious, we just talked. About pointless things like our likes and dislikes and old high school memories and such. And we made each other laugh and shared some lazy kisses here and there. It was absolutely perfect.
Then, we ordered pizza and finally got out of bed when it got here. And we ate it together while watching Adventure Time.
And if that was considered a date, it was the best one I had ever been on.
I soon felt him stirring underneath me, and I looked up to see his eyes opening.
“Hey cutie.” He lazily smiled down at me, greeting me in his sexy sleepy voice.
“Hey.” I smiled at him, reaching my hand up to stroke his cheek with my thumb.
“How long you been up?”
I shrugged in response.
“Not long.. A few minutes maybe.”
“Well you could’ve woken me up ya know.. You didn’t have to be bored.” He started playing with my hair.
“I wasn’t bored, I was thinking.”
“Aboouut?” He chuckled a bit.
I buried my face in his chest and smiled.
“You..”
“Aww me? I’m honored Alexander!”
“Shut uppp!” I giggled, keeping my face in his chest to hide my blush.
He smiled and rubbed my back soothingly.
“What about me?”
I looked up at him dreamily and smiled.
“About yesterday.. and how you like me and stuff..” I started blushing and looked down.
“About how I like you and stuff?” He chuckled, holding me tighter.
“Mhmm..” I smiled harder.
“Well I do. I think about you, too. All the time actually.. I can never get your pretty face out of my head.” He smiled and kissed my forehead.
I blushed and kept smiling.
“I really like this side of you Jack..”
“What?”
“This sweet, romantic side..” I placed a soft kiss on his cheek.
“I guess I have my moments..” He smirked and shrugged.
I giggled and then just smiled at him. He smiled back at me and we enjoyed our shared moment of silence.
I was so hooked on every feature of his face. From his eyebrows to his smile.
I thought Jack was absolutely perfect.
And I wonder if he thought of me that way, too.
Maybe I should ask him.
But maybe I shouldn’t.
I don’t wanna fuck anything up.
But I don’t wanna stay confused forever.
Fuck.
“Uh oh.. Someone’s thinking too hard..” He smirked and stroked my hair.
I took a deep breath.
“Yeah.. Um. So.. Mind if we get a little serious for a bit?”
He sighed and nodded.
“Go ahead.”
“S-so um.. You know how I like you and you like me and stuff right?”
“Uhuh..” He nodded slowly.
“So um.. I don’t wanna risk my chances here but I know you don’t like relationships and it’s making me kinda confused because well.. You like me! And I know that the last time I asked, you got angry and-“
“Just get on with it, Alex..” He gave me a reassuring smile that he wouldn’t get angry.
I took another deep breath.
“So.. I’m gonna ask you again, Jack. What are we?”
He paused for a moment to think, then he smirked at me.
“We’re something for sure. Something that could become more if we wait and see.”
Something.
Something is definitely more than we were before.
Does that mean we’re like romantic interests?
I don’t know.
But this was progress. There’s a chance for him and me and I’m happy about it.
“So.. Want pancakes?” He smiled at me, changing the subject.
“Sure.” I smiled back at him and got up, him following close behind me.
We walked to the kitchen, and I sat up on the counter while he got out the ingredients.
He started pouring things in and mixing them, and I just watched him as I swung my legs back and forth.
“You know, you look really hot when you cook.”
He glanced up at me and smirked.
“Do I?”
I giggled and nodded.
“You do.”
He poured some of the batter on the pan, then walked up to stand between my legs; his hands taking place on my hips.
I giggled and wrapped my arms around his neck.
“What do you want?”
“I’m trying to figure out how you’re so goddamn cute.” He smirked at me, slowly rubbing my hipbones with his thumbs and making me blush.
I shook my head and smiled.
“Nuh uh..”
“Uhuh!” He chuckled and leaned in to give me a peck on the lips.
“You’re gorgeous, Lex..”
At this point I was blushing even harder, and I could only think of one way to hide it.
So I leaned in and kissed him. And he kissed me back; his lips were so soft and perfect and made me feel like I was in heaven when they touched mine.
He sadly pulled away after a moment though, because he had to flip the pancakes.
I was just smiling down at my knees, lost in my own little world as he continued to cook.
He was being so sweet and adorable; it was different from the cocky and flirty Jack that I’m used to.
But I like both sides of him.. Any side or shade of Jack is perfect to me; he always gives me butterflies, regardless.

“Food’s ready.”
I looked up, not even realizing that he had managed to make a stack of four fluffy pancakes while I was lost in my little daze.
“Oh yum!” I giggled and hopped down, walking over to sit at the table.
He chuckled, and placed them on the table, along with the syrup.
We set our plates, and I was soon cutting off a little triangle and putting it in my mouth.
“Mmm!”
“Is it good?” He smiled over at me.
“Damn Jack, didn’t tell me you made a mean pancake!” I giggled, swallowing the piece.
He shrugged and chuckled.
“Well I can’t make anything else for breakfast besides Eggo waffles, so.”
I laughed and rolled my eyes, picking my fork back up and eating more.
Once I was halfway done with my pancakes, I started to get thirsty.
“So what have you got to drink around here?” I giggled a bit.
“Why don’t you go check and find out?”
I shrugged and got up, opening the fridge and bending over to look inside.
“Let’s see what we’ve got here..” I started to shift my hips from side to side a little, wanting to tease him since I knew he was staring at my ass.
“Stop trying to give me boners at the table, asshole.” He caught on to what I was doing, which made me laugh.
“Sorry, loser!” I giggled, hearing him scoff but knowing that he was smiling.
“Okay so we’ve got beer.. beer.. more beer.. vodka.. And ah! Orange juice!” I joked, taking it out and pouring us two cups.
He shrugged and smirked.
“Well I don’t go grocery shopping for nothin’!”
I rolled my eyes and handed him his cup, as I sat down and took a sip from mine.
“Thanks, cutie.” He nodded at me, tilting the cup up to his lips.
“No problem.” I smiled at him, continuing to eat.

Once we finished our food, he got up to put our dishes in the sink, and I stood beside him.
“So what do you wanna do now?” He turned to wrap his arms around my waist.
I smiled and bit my lip, wrapping my arms around his neck.
“Um.. Cuddle on the couch?”
He chuckled and kissed my cheek.
“You get the blankets.”
