Alex's POV
Thank god it's Friday. After today, I won't have to be around Jack for two days. To be honest I'm not sure why I bother going to school as I can't pay attention in class anyway but somehow I still get myself to go. I guess it's because at school I at least get to hang out with Jenna and although we don't have a lot to talk about, misery does love company.

Jenna and I are on our way from class to the cafeteria as I notice a familiar figure coming from the opposite direction. Just who I wanted to run into today. Jack. By the time Jack, Zack and Rian reach us Jack opens his mouth to make a snide remark, but before he's able to say anything I grab him by the throat and push him against the wall.

"Alex!" I hear Jenna scream. "Stop it!"
For the first time I see fear in Jack's eyes. Good.
Rian and Zack try to drag me away from Jack but I somehow find the strength to resist them. For a moment I push Jack against the wall but I let go of his throat before he actually starts to choke. Before Jack gets the chance to walk away, I push him back against the wall, by his arms this time.

"How'd you like that?" I snarl.
"What the fuck was that?" Jack sneered, still catching his breath.
"That's what they did to Liz in prison," I reply calmly.
"Whát?" Jenna exclaims.
Jack doesn't reply.

"Someone tried to choke her just because she ran into her accidentally. All because of you," I told Jack. "If you still refuse to drop charges, knowing this, you're a fucking twat and I'll make sure you'll regret it."
"Is that a threat?" Jack asked, trying to regain his cool.
"It is," I reply. "You've got until after the weekend to get her released. If you do so, I'll perform at prom with you. If not, you'll regret it."

"You do realize she did actually commit a crime and that's why she's in jail? Not because I paid someone to put her behind bars or anything?" Jack mutters.
"Yeah because you pressed charges. She only punched you because you bullied her and Jen and you had it coming. Unfortunately judges nowadays rather punish self-defense than bullying. It's a shame," I say.
"She broke your nose," Jack reminds me.
"And I forgave her for that," I shrug.

"I don't see understand what you see in her," Jack shakes his head.
"Yeah, just like I don't understand what Jenna once saw in you," I reply.
"I don't either," Jenna adds. "You're disgusting. Let's go, Alex."

Jenna turns around and heads for the stairs. I wait for her to disappear into the staircase.
"You know, if you were hoping to still have a chance with her, I'd drop the charges if I were you. Sooner rather than later. If you don't, she'll never talk to you again," I tell Jack.
"She's gay," Jack said, trying to laugh it off.
"She's bi," I correct him.
"Yeah well, I don't want a girl that's into girls as well," Jack said unsure.
"Whether she likes boys or girls doesn't have anything to do with who she is, and you and I both know that you still have feelings for her, no matter how hard you deny it," I answer.

"Alex?" Jenna reappears from the staircase. "Are you coming?"
"Yeah," I reply and after one piercing look at Jack, I let go of him and walk away, to Jenna.
"What was that about?" Jenna asks curiously.
"Nothing," I reply.
Jenna frowns, but doesn't ask more questions.
