Mondays were the worst day of the week. You have to get up early, you have to go to school, and you have to deal with people.

That was the thinking of most teenagers, anyways. Personally, I love Mondays. Since I don't get to see my beautiful girlfriend on the weekends, Mondays mean being reunited with her and spending our day together in class.

I opened my closet door and stepped inside, searching for the black jeans I knew she really liked because they were definitely the tightest skinny jeans I own. Seriously, if I don't change as soon as I get home when I wear them to school, there will never be an Alex Jr, if you know what I mean.

I picked out a red plaid button-up shirt as well and slipped it on and turned on my hair straightener. Yes, my pink hair straightener. Well, it wasn't mine, it was my girlfriend's spare because mine was broken and I hadn't gotten around to buying a new one yet. I'll do that someday.

The walk to school was long and boring, but as I approached the school and saw her gorgeous face, my mood automatically brightened. "Alex!" she squealed, running up to me and engulfing me in a tight hug that I greatfully returned, picking the girl up and spinning her around a few times before returning her to her original position back on the ground. "Jessie!" I shouted, smiling like an idiot because dammit, I really do love her.

And I'm going to tell her that today.

Math, like my walk to school, was long and boring without Jessie by my side. It was the only class we didnt have together, sadly, and I was very lonely. At least I had Jack next to me to keep my slightly entertained, but I really wanted to be with Jessie.

English was next, and she beat me to the classroom, so I entered quietly through the back door of the classroom and snuck up behind the unsuspecting girl. "Guess who?" I whispered in Jessie's ear, covering her eyes with my hands. "Hmm, I don't know?" she giggled in front of me, taking my hands and removing them from her face before reaching up to give me a quick kiss before the teacher walked in and ordered for us to take our seats.

The rest of the day continued like this; Jessie and I doing random, small cute acts of affection while the rest of the student body murmured to their friends "why can't I have that relationship?" We were the school power-couple, so to speak.

When lunch rolled around, I took Jessie out for a walk on Thames Street and stopped at the corner of South Broadway to hold both of her hands and adopt a serious expression on my face. "Jessie, I need to tell you something," I said nervously, and suddenly a nervous expression spread across her face to match mine.

"I know we've only been official for a few months, and when we used to be strictly best friends we would tell each other we loved them, but this is different, Jessie. There's a difference between loving someone and being in love with someone. I love my mother. But you, Jessie, well...I love you. I love you with all of my heart and I knew that I would always love you the first time I saw you back in first grade playing by yourself and I knew that we needed to be friends. Now look at us, I'm here confessing that I'm hopelessly in love with you and-"

My little speech was cut off by a soft pair of lips brushing against my own, and I eagarly returned the kiss.

"I love you too, Alex. I am in love with you."
