First Official Writing Contest! [CLOSED]

1. Does my story have to be about jalex or an OC?
-No! So long as it involves one person from the band or crew, you don't even have to have another character. Be creative!

2. Can I have a friend proof read my one-shot?
-Yes, but aside from editing, you must leave your story as is. This is only okay because I will not be reading the stories until the day they are to be posted, therefore it will not mess with the judging!

3. How long is too long for a one-shot?
-Make it as long as you want to! If you think it's too long, turn it into a two-shot, or maybe even a short story- Just stick with the rules!

4. Does my story have to be rated G-PG?
-Absolutely not. I don't want you to feel like you have any restrictions holding you back from writing the best story you can. This is a CONTEST. I like to see people be CREATIVE. So go wild, kiddos!

5. Can my story be in connection to any of my other stories?
-No. For starters, it needs to be a songfic as stated in the rules. Writing a one-shot to go along with one of your stories would take away from the contest. Write somethig new, please.

6. Are there any certain bands or songs we need to use?
-So long as it isn't All Time Low, use whatever you wish. Should someone else claim that song before you request it, I'll let you know so you don't begin to write with that song.

7. How long after the stories are posted will you announce the winner?
-That depends. We will need enough time for both judges to read and review your stories. We will then come together and decide on who deserves it the most. It should take no longer than one week to announce, though!

8. How will our stories be judged?
-Well, there's a number of ways. How your paragraphs look. How much effort you put into the story. Grammer, ect. However, the winning story will be given that title because the story was good all together. Make sure your story line is worth reading, because it will pay off in the end!
