First Official Writing Contest! [CLOSED]

I have decided it's time to spice up this site! I'm creating a writing contest!
Now, I know everyone is talented in writing stories that don't revolve around All Time Low, but for the sake of this site, we're sticking to the band. However, there is a twist!

As with all contest, some rules do apply! Please read the next section carefully. Should you decide to join, breaking any of these rules will get you booted right out!

Rules:

[1] Your story must contain at least one member of the band. Jalex is very popular right now, but not everyone will be permitted to write a Jalex fic. We want to see something different that captures our attention, & yes, you can write about the crew, too!

[2] This contest is going to be based on songfics. For those of you who don't know what that is, it's a very simple concept. Pick a song with a good story line, pick a member of the band or crew and write it out. Turn that song into a story everone wants to read!

[3] Indeed, this is a songfic contest, HOWEVER, your song CANNOT be an All Time Low song! This would be too easy and too many people would go for the same song. To avoid this happening at all, everyone who wants to write must send in the title of the song they're going to write about. It will be posted as a claimed song and no one else will be allowed to use it.

[4] You story can be a one-shot or a short story, but it cannot contain more than four chapters. There must be enough time to read and judge everyone's story. There is no word count, but that does NOT mean you can post a story that has only two or three paragraphs! We want this to be worth our time, folks!

[5] We all make mistakes when we write, that's no biggie. What is expected of you, though, is that you put enough effort in your story to have slim to no mistakes. Spelling words can be tricky, so look it up if you have to! And please, make it look good. No one likes to read a one-shot that is scrambled together. If it looks like this:
"I will get irritated." "Because it's just annoying." "To try and read something." "That hurts my eyes!"

[6] This contest will be open for one week. You have until the 4th to enter, unless all the spots fill up before hand (The current limit is fifteen, but that is subject to change). Everyone is a part of the contest and the songs they've chosen will be posted. You will have one week to write your one-shot. It is important that you DO NOT POST your story until the stated date. If you do, it will be taken out of the contest and you will lose your spot. On May 11th you will be allowed to post your story. In the short description, please put that it is, in fact, the one-shot you've written for the contest, along with the number you've been given for enterance. If we have to go dig around your stories to find the right one, we will not be happy!

Now, I know that seems like a lot, but it really isn't! Just a few simple rules for you to follow so that your story becomes more appealing! With that being said, onto the stuff you really care about.. The prizes!

First place will be allowed to choose a story line and character for a one-shot OR a full-length story written just for them by.. Well, us! (You may pick who writes your story, our feelings won't be hurt, I promise!) They will also have a rightful spot in our notes for one month, along with a story they want to promote.

Second place will recieve a one-shot of their choice. They will also be given a rightful place in our notes for two weeks.

Third place will recieve a one-shot and shout out in our notes for one week.

We will announce the winner in a chapter following the list of those who have been accepted into the contest.

This website is small and therefore has limited rewards. We're doing the best we can with what we've been given. If nothing else, you can walk around knowing you were the first winner of a writing contest on this website. That's something to be proud of!

Another 'chapter' will be posted with a list of all those who have been added to the contest, and the songs they have chosen. Remember, the sooner you claim a spot, the more time you will be given to write your story. Be in it to win it, but also remember to HAVE FUN!
