Jack cried. He didn't care if the others saw. He screamed, letting out all his frustrations, then ran as fast as he could to the bathroom.

"Jack!" They all yelled after him, Zack's voice being the loudest of the group. Jack locked the bathroom door, sinking down onto the cold floor. He hated how he was letting this get to him. He needed to grow up already.

"Jack..." Alex sighed, gently knocking on the door, "Come on. Open up."

"No, you did this to me! I don't want you here!" Jack yelled.

"That's why I need to fix this. Come on. I'm not going to hurt you," Alex whispered through the door.

"Fine," Jack opened the door, letting Alex in.

"Jack, I told you this would be easy. You're making it hard," Alex whined, sitting down on the floor scooping Jack up into his arms.

"I can't help it, Alex!" Jack huffed, tears flowing down his face faster now.

"Why can't you? It's not like you're in love with me!" Alex screamed.

The words caught in Jack's mouth. He couldn't speak. His breathing got heavier. He was about to break.

"Right, Jack?" Worry filled Alex's eyes. Shit. He had no idea. Jack broke.

The truth was that Alex felt the same.

You see, Alex had extreme anxiety. Sure, over the years it had decreased, but he still had panic attacks every once in awhile.

The main cause of them was Jack. He was scared. Scared that he would lose Jack if they were an actual couple. Scared that Jack would hate him if it didn't last.

He was also scared of Lisa. Scared that she would hurt him. Scared that she would hurt Jack. So, he stayed with her.

The only way he could touch Jack without causing all of that is to do it secretively.

He had no idea that Jack loved him. He didn't think he was hurting Jack. Jack always had on a mask. A perfect mask that not even his best friend could see through.

Alex teared up, rocking Jack back and forth in his arms. A few minutes later, Jack had calmed down. He sighed, laying his head on Alex's chest.

"It's okay, Jacky," Alex smiled down at him, tears still littering his face.

"Alex? Why're you crying?" Jack whispered, his big brown eyes widening as he looked up at Alex.

"Because I never meant to hurt you, Jacky. I'll try to keep Lisa away, okay?" Alex sniffled.

Jack smiled slightly, leaning into Alex and taking in his scent. "Thank you, Alex."

"You're welcome, Jacky," Alex said, snuggling into Jack. He wanted to be closer to Jack, he wanted him to feel better.

"Jacky, can I make you feel better?" Alex asked, his voice filling with lust.

Jack gulped. He knew what Alex meant. "I don't know, Lex," he whispered.
