Chapter 6:
Tays POV
As soon as Alex was clear I ran out the booth, collecting my bag then running out the classroom unnoticed. I ran all the way to my house causing my throat to burn and my a sweat break across my forehead. I unlocked the door and was greeted with a familiar silence, my parents were probably out buying some form of alcohol.
I traveled up the stairs and shut the bathroom door, I removed the loose tile that sat against the bath. A smile spread across my face as I was greeted by my best friends again. A plastic box remained behind the tile, unseen. It contained about 40 different razors. I reached into the box an pulled out what seemed to be an old pencil sharpener. I dragged it across the prominent veins on my wrist the cut filling with blood as soon as the metal lifted from my skin.
I swore to Jack I would never cut again.
I guess I swore I would love him forever to though.
Alex's POV
As I thought Jack lay against the old tree the symbols "A+J" messily carved into the old bark.
"Alex what the fuck?!" Jack screeched. "I knew it, I thought it was me being paranoid. You like her don't you?" Jack stared at the ground a tear rolling down his cheek. The silence gave him the answer to his question and he shook his head, "I love you Alex. But not enough to let you get off with this. I'm sorry, wait no I'm fucking not. Have fun living your life without me." As he walked past me I grabbed his shirt and he shoved my grip away and continued walking. I couldn't stop crying, I didn't know what to do but trace the outlines of the "j" carved on the tree.
