Kiss and Sell

"Dude, stop moping. You're being so depressing." Rian muttered as Jack put his head on the table and groaned. Jack glared over at him as Cass rubbed his back and said, "Shut up, Rian. He misses Alex."

"Yeah, I get that, Cass." Rian snapped before rolling his eyes and sighing, "Just go talk to him, dude."

"I can't. I already tried. He just runs away." Jack muttered. He scooted closer to Cassadee and buried his face in her neck, "You smell really good and I kind of feel bad I'm too sad to admire your perfume." He muttered into her neck. Cass laughed as she ran her fingers through his hair. She literally comforted everyone now.

"Look," Rian sighed, "I don't know what's going on, but if you want I'll go talk to him for you." He suggested.

Jack glanced over at him, "No." He said before pulling back to look at Cass, "I think Cass should go. Alex likes her more."

"Hey! Alex likes me." Rian whined.

"Not really." Cass and Jack said together making him pout.

"What's going on anyways?" Cass asked as she looked back at Jack, "I mean, you and Al were totally wrapped up in each other yesterday. What happened?"

Jack sighed, "It's just stuff I can't talk about. Alex would get pissed and I know he would." He glanced up as the teacher shushed them before letting his head fall down on the desk again as he groaned, "I hate my life. Why is everything so complicated?"

"Because you and Alex are not a normal couple." Rian answered, "Dude, look, why don't you just come to my party tomorrow? It'll cheer you up." Rian nudged him making Jack shake his head.

"Oh c'mon, Jacky!" Cass whined, "It will be really fun and you'll love it. Maybe you'll even meet someone you like there!" She cheered.

Jack cocked an eyebrow, "I don't like anyone but Alex." He muttered stubbornly. Cass rolled her eyes. Jack sighed depressingly. He really missed Alex and the worst part was seeing him trying to avoid him all day during school. It killed him.

And what was even worst was his parents were relentless about Jack applying for colleges. He was so stressed about it because in all honesty Jack didn't want to go to college. If anything he just wanted to waste his days chasing after boys who didn't care about him the way he wanted. He didn't even know what he wanted to major in, if anything. Music? Art? Photography? Fuck if he knew.

Everything was always about the future and what he was going to do in it. Why couldn't it be about today? He had enough problems, why did he have to be stressed out with college.

"I'll go but only because I know you guys won't leave me alone if I don't." Jack rolled his eyes as the two quietly cheered.

"And I'll talk to Lex!" Cass said as the bell rang and she ran out of the room. She didn't even bother hearing Jack's response before she left. She ran right to Alex's locker and tackled him into it while yelling, "Lex! I need to talk to you!!"

“Fuck Cass.” Alex groaned as he glared at the girl giggling at him. He rubbed the back of his head nervously as he noticed Jack staring at them just across the hall while Cass snapped her fingers in front of his face. He glared at her and muttered, “What do you want? I don’t have time to chat I need to get to my next class or the teacher will give me detention for thinking I was skipping again.”

“Well whose fault is that?” Cass rolled her eyes while playfully dishevelling the boy’s caramel-colored hair.

“Jack’s.” Alex muttered making Cass sighed and mumbled, “About Jack...”

“Don’t talk to me about him right now. I’m already really upset about this entire thing and I don’t want to hear how miserable he’s doing. Believe me, I know.” Alex said as he turned back to his locker to distract himself from probably breaking down in tears. Cass wasn’t giving in that easily, though. She was determined to at least learn the full story as to why both boys who were obviously so distraught over “not being ‘friends’ anymore” couldn’t just make up. I guess it’s easier said than done, she thought to herself.

“What exactly happened?” Cass asked seriously

“Cass…..” Alex warned through gritted teeth. He was not having it.

“No. I will not leave you alone. If you won’t tell me, I won’t leave.” Cass interjected, crossing her arms defiantly.

Alex sighed in defeat, knowing that Cass can be a pestering bitch when she wants to know what’s going on with her bestfriends, and when shes a pestering bitch, she’s determined to find out what’s up. “Cass..I-” but before the fuckboy could finish his sentence he got cut off by the bell ringing, signaling that the next class was going to start soon, “I will tell you later” Alex flashed her a weak smile. Saved by the bell. Literally.

“Hey!” Cass called after him, “Call me after school and we’ll discuss it! I’m serious, Alex!” She glared at him. Alex laughed as he shrugged and flipped her off because she was a fuck (girl) boy and he didn’t care. He glanced up and saw across the short hallway, Jack still standing. He looked torn. Alex knew how he felt. He smiled at him weakly and Jack returned it. It was almost them silently saying they were okay but broken. Alex never missed someone so much in his entire life.

He quickly mouthed to the boy, “I’m so sorry.” And watched as Jack mouthed, “It’s okay.” Back. He forced a smile and waved goodbye to him as he sprinted off to his next class. He glanced back in time to see Jack take out his packet of cigarettes and begin walking down the hall. He almost stopped and went with him like how he always did when Jack went to smoke, but he quickly caught himself.

Dad will figure it out soon. He’d figure out that I love him and laugh. He told himself, shaking his head as he did. His father ruined everything good in his life. He was sick of it.

the only excuse that i have is that school is completely kicking my ass....and i have some family problems to take care of....
