Kiss and Sell

Parties

"Why would you fuck some fish anyways?" Jack asked as the two made their way to class especially slow -seemingly ignoring the way Alex purposely allowed their shoulders to bump and their hands to brush. In reality, it drove Jack crazy. He wanted to just reach over and grab Alex's hand, hold it and never let go, but that would be inappropriate because honestly the two weren't even that close of friends. Sure, they hung out during school, and knew each other enough to joke, tease, and bicker, but they didn't really know each other. Hell, they had never even been to each others' houses before.

That could have been Alex's fault more so Jack's though. Alex didn't like to get attached, didn't like becoming close with anyone, and usually kept his inner thoughts to himself when it was on a more personal level, and Jack did the same about things even if it wasn't personal. The two were always painfully awkward whenever anything personal flared up somehow and always ended up arguing which somehow helped the horrible blanket of awkwardness during the situation. It's probably why they argued so much.

Alex managed to shrug -never really considering why he did anything he did. He liked having sex. That's the only excuse he could give Jack. It felt good to have sex with pretty much anyone for Alex. He didn't have very high standards and could get off with pretty much anyone if he so wanted to. Including a freshman. His hands moved from his sides to the front of his tight jeans were he shoved them into the just as tight pockets -more or less only getting his fingers inside instead of the whole hand, "He was a junior, actually, and not that bad. He was kind of sweet too." Alex admitted.

They had never really talked about who or what Alex did with people. All Jack ever heard when Alex bragged about having just fucked some guy was how hot he was, so, to hear that he actually thought the kid sweet was a surprising, unfamiliar sound coming from the elder's mouth. So, Jack's automatic reaction to it was to tease the blond -wiggling his eyebrows suggestively as he said, "Oh, so now you like the sweet, innocent, young guys, eh?" Making Alex furrow his brow and cry, "Hell no!" And quickly bow his head to hide behind his long, messy bangs as he blushed and shrugged yet again while saying, "I was jus'sayin', he was kind of nice. He actually was as good as I thought he'd be, too. In that I-don't-want-to-be-rough-because-I-think-you're-made-of-glass kind of way." He again shrugged nonchalantly -glancing up at Jack who smiled down cheekily at the blond who frowned.

"You sound like you have a crush on the guy." He teased -although out of anyone Jack knew the most Alex had never had a crush. The boy had attractions but never a crush.

Alex scoffed -kicking a stray pencil from its abandoned place in the hall, "I was jus'describin' how he was since you seem to caresofucking much about it." He muttered -watching how the pencil rolled around and stopped under the water fountain. He considered grabbing it and picking it up to take to class and actually do some real work, but quickly brushed it off in fear of Jack making fun of him for "caring". It happened a lot. Jack making fun of him whenever he did something new or different. Alex didn't always like Jack making fun of him. Sometimes he was okay with the little mean comments about how much of a whore he was because it was only true, but a lot of the time he actually felt like Jack really didn't like him as much as he thought. In fact, sometimes Alex was sure Jack thought he was annoying and only kept him around because he got a little credit of being a real "player" whenever he pissed Alex off and they stopped talking for a few days.

Jack chuckled, "I didn't ask for you to describe word for word how he made love to you. Just wanted to know why you would ever fuck a freshman, I didn't think you were gonna be that desperate."

"Technically, he fucked me." Alex corrected making Jack roll his eyes. Jack didn't say anything and Alex bit his lip because he hated when they started getting quiet because when they got quiet Jack noticed things. Things like his bruises. Things that Alex wouldn't share with the boy unless he had to. Alex never brought up how his parents were to him -not unless Jack brought it up -and Jack only brought it up when they argued which meant he usually used it against him to either hurt him or get his point across. Jack adverted his eyes to his shoes as they walked -pulling out another stick of gum as he spit his wad out on the floor -not even bothering to find a trashcan. Alex nudged him, "Don't tell me you're jealous, Jacky boy."

Jack scoffed -moving two steps away as if Alex touching him would give him some sort of decease and hissed, "Jealous of getting an STD, yeah." He stopped then -looking from his stick of gum to the package of cigarettes in his hand before shrugging and taking the deadly cancer stick from its package to pluck between his lips and light with a plastic purple lighter.

Alex watched as he smoked in the middle of the hall. Usually, Alex would leave at this time -wiggling his way back into class as if he had been there the whole time -somehow not getting a tardy by quietly opening the door and sneaking in before the teacher called role -unlike Jack who would come much later -opening the door and slamming it shut in the middle of the teacher's lecture -but today he stayed.

"I thought you quit?" He asked -pointing at the cigarette in Jack's mouth.

"I'm trying to." Jack muttered over the cigarette -letting the smoke puff out the side of his mouth as he talked before taking a long drag and pulling the stick away to properly blow the smoke out.

"Doesn't look like it." Alex said as he crossed his arms over his chest. It wasn't that he really cared if Jack smoked or not. Alex had been around smokers his whole life. Alex used to smoke himself. He was just uncomfortable. This was way pass his comfort-zone. He never asked Jack about things that people who cared would ask about. It made him feel different -like someone was sitting on his chest.

"I limit myself to two a day. This is my first and I think I deserve it after hanging out with you all day long." Jack grumbled making Alex roll his eyes. He was used to this kind of bitterness. Maybe it was another reason why Alex kept from trying to get personal with Jack. It wasn't like Alex couldn't manage relationships or keep them -it was just that Jack was different from his regular friends. He actually wanted Jack to like him.

He sighed and muttered, "Those things make your mouth taste like shit when you kiss, y'know." Movement caught his eye and he looked up to see a boy with messy brown hair and black-rimmed eyes. He looked too young to be in high school, but Alex knew he was a sophomore simply because Alex knew pretty much everyone in school. He had either been with them for a one nightstand, was introduced to him through his usual fucks, or met them at parties. He recognized the boy from one of his classes, though -the boy actually very talented and smart -and watched as he paused down the hall from them. The boy's eyes landed on Jack and he watched as he led his cigarette to his lips. Alex couldn't tell he either really wanted a cigarette or really liked Jack. If Alex didn't already know Jack wouldn't like the boy he'd try to set them up.

Jack didn't like anyone, though. Alex asked him about a hundred times if he was even attracted to people let alone had a crush, but Jack would always answer bitterly and scream, "Fuck you! Why can't you just leave me alone?!" As if he was actually offended by Alex's question. Alex just wanted to know what his preferences were. It wasn't like he was judging. If Jack didn't like people and was into that whole dressing up as animals thing Alex could surely find someone (or even make it work himself) just to help the younger out of whatever bitter, sexually frustrated phase he was in.

Alex, come to think about it, had never even heard Jack utter that he found anyone attractive. Not when they lingered in the hall and watched the girls and boys walk by and Alex pointed out the cute ones-which was most everyone because he literally thought everyone was cute.

Jack flicked the stick down -stomping on it and twisting it under his foot as he shrugged and muttered, "Don't kiss anyone anyways."

And that had Alex gasping because it was a fucking crime in his book to not have sex at least twice a week let alone not kiss anyone. He had never realized Jack hadn't actually kissed or at least touched anyone outside of school -since they never hung out anyways and Alex didn't really know. He thought maybe Jack had a secret ugly girlfriend he didn't want Alex knowing about because it was embarrassing or something. Jack gave him a look -one thick, arched eyebrow raising as Alex covered his mouth.

Now, usually Alex ended anything personal that was outside school right then and there. Usually, he shrugged off anything Jack said that led to actually talking and pretended to forget about it, but this was different. No wonder Jack was so tense and angry all the time.

"Not even, like, at parties?" Alex whispered after a good ten seconds of silence -as if raising his voice would only make the whole situation end in a shoot out or something.

Jack sighed a little -as if exasperated by Alex's inquiry and gave him a bored, "I don't want to talk about this" look, but went ondespite the look and answered, "Never been invited to one, honestly."

How?!" Alex cried making Jack jump a little because all of a sudden he was screaming from their almost whisper-voiced chat, "You're the fucking bad boy of the school! Everyone wants a bad boy at their party. They're dare devils and spontaneous and hours of fun!" This was an absolute outrage. No wonder Alex never saw Jack at parties.

Suddenly, Alex almost felt bad for Jack. He was such a fucking douche that he turned into an outsider despite being one of the most talked about kids of the school. He was popular, but it was as if he wasn't approachable. Everyone was scared and intimidated by him, but looked up to him.

Jack shrugged, "I guess not everyone thinks the same. Sorry to burst your bubble, but no one really likes me as much as they act." He growled.

Alex sighed, "Jack! You've gotta get out and live a little, dude!" He reasoned as he walked over to his friend and nudged him away from the lockers so they could start their slow trek to class together. Alex figured everyone would think they had been late because they were having sex and he liked to make them believe it. He reached up and ruffled Jack's hair roughly making Jack glare at him, but he didn't bother to fix his now messy locks. Jack knew what Alex was doing. Alex pushed the side of Jack's shirt into his pants while riding up the other side and shimmied Jack's pants so they hung low on his hips and grabbed Jack's leather jacket to pull off and wrap around himself instead. Jack rolled his eyes as Alex continued, "You know, actually have some fun?"

Jack rolled his eyes once again as he muttered, "Whatever."
