Kiss Me Again

Arriving late to History wasn't too bad. I actually stopped to pee on the way there. I was only a few minutes late, I wasn't missing anything important. Just some review on a war I already knew about. Man this class sucks. I spent the whole class period thinking about Tay. The way she got so angry when the guys were talking about all the chicks they scored. I'll be sure to tell the guys about that in private. Speaking of the guys, Jack just texted me. I looked around to make sure the teacher wouldn't be able to see me, before I looked down and read it.
Jack- How ya likin History? :P
I scoffed then replied:
Me- Absolutely lovin' it.
He responded with an "LOL."
Me- Dude, I think I'm smitten.
Jack- Fallin for Mr. Kroeger now are we? ;)
I scrunched my nose up at his joke. I swear, he's just a little boy in a 17 years old's body.
Me- Hahahahaaaah..No. It's Tay, dude. She's rad.
Jack- Oooooo. Taayyyleeexx. ;))
My cheeks heated up.
Me- Shut up! & U guys need 2 chill out.
Jack- ??? Chill out?
Me- Yeah. She's a chick, she doesn't wanna hear u guys talking about all the ones you've fucked :/
Jack- Exactly, she's a chick. It's not like it's any different from what you'll do to her..am I right? Might as well show her what she's in for :P
I furrowed my brows at this. I know Jacks' my best friend and all, but he seriously pisses me the fuck off sometimes. Okay, I guess I can't really blame him. I have dated many girls, but it's not just for sex. That's what everyone seems to think. That I'm some sort of player or something! Some girls think I'm just a jerk, and the guys think I'm "The Man." But this isn't who I want to be...not what I want Tay to think of me at least. Sure I didn't have many feelings for my exes, but Tay is different. I'm really starting to like her, and it's only my first day of meeting her.
Jack texted again after a bit.
Jack- O come on, dude. If I knew u were gonna just let it go to waste, I would've taken her myself! :P
Me- Fuck off, Jack.
Jack- Whoa, chill. I was kidding. I'll pass the message to Zack and Rian. Don't get your panties all in a bunch.
I just sighed out of anger and shoved my phone in the desk. I stared blankly at the front of room until class was over.

After class, I sped out of the room to make sure I was there in time to meet Tay outside her class. I got there just in time, about 2 seconds before she walked out, greeting me with a smile.
"Music." she simply stated. I smiled big at that.
"Ah..THERE'S a class we share! Finally!"
She giggled a bit as I escorted her to our next class. Her laugh's adorable. I thought.
We entered the music room to see the guys sitting on the floor in the back, chatting it up, and laughing. When we approached, they all stopped and started talking about homework or some shit. Jack had probably told them about what I said.
I smirked and plopped down next to them, Tay sat beside me.
"Hey guys, what's up?" I smiled.
"Today sucked." Rian started.
"How come?"
"That Brinley chick? She was making out with that fucking soccer dude, Vic in the hall earlier."
Ugh..I really hope Tay was okay with-
"Gee, that really sucks, I'm sorry." she said to him, a concerned look on her face.
"Yeah, I'm gonna kill that Vic dude." Rian responded, anger in his voice.
Zack gave him a pat on the back and nodded. "I'm with ya, bro."
"Guys! No.." I exclaimed. I didn't want Tay to think that I'm some sort of bully. I sometimes acted tough and cocky and all for a fight, but I honestly think they're being a bit unreasonable.
"What-" Zack was interrupted by our teacher Mr. Flyzik, announcing that class was starting.
"Class..settle down. I believe we have a new student..Tay Jardine? Come on down." Flyzik signaled her to come to the front in a goofy, Price Is Right kind of way. I watched her walk to the front, stepping over legs and almost tripping a little.
"Hey, I'm Flyzik. Nice to meet you." he gave her a warm smile.
"What do you do?"
Tay looked puzzled at his question.
"I mean, musically. Your talents?"
Her cheeks flushed and her mouth made an "O" shape.
"I..well I um..I sing?" I raised my eyebrows in shock.
"Whoa dude." Jack whispered to me, winking.
I just bit my lip and looked back at her.
"What kind of music do you like?" Flyzik asked her.
"Uhh..you know..Blink-182, Jimmy Eat World, Mayday Parade, Fall Out Boy.."
He cut her off. "Mayday Parade. Sing us a Mayday Parade song."
She started to look a little uneasy.
"It's only ritual. All of our singers have to do it."
She closed her eyes for a moment, then sighed. "Alright."
Flyzik called Jack over to play the acoustic while she sang. He always did that. Jack seems to calm their nerves down by being up there with them. What can I say, he's a pretty fun guy.
"What are we doin', Jardine?" he playfully winked at her.
"Let's do...I Swear This Time I mean It." she answered, then cleared her throat. Jack began to strum the chords.
She soon began to sing with the most heavenly voice that ever filled my ears.

I felt butterflies in my stomach. I was speechless. I couldn't take my eyes away. It was like I was in a trance..hypnotized by her beautiful voice.
I'm outdated, overrated

She continued to sing through the song, and I could almost feel my eyes watering up just from hearing how beautiful she sounded.

Jack strummed the last chord, and everyone stared in awe.
After a moment, Flyzik cleared his throat.
"Well, Gaskarth. Looks like you've got some competition here."

After class was over, Tay walked with me to get my stuff out of my locker.
"Damn, Tay." I said suddenly.
"What?"
"I didn't know you could sing."
"Didn't know you could either. Isn't that what Flyzik said?"
"Yeah, I sing a bit. I write, too." I started packing my bag.
"So do I."
I zipped my bag and looked up at her.
"Really? I wanna see some of your songs!"
She just looked down and shook her head.
"Come on, please? I'll show you mine! I'll even play one for you." I persuaded.
She twisted her mouth to the side as if she were thinking.
Right then, Jack walked up and hung his arm around her shoulders.
"Aye girl, lemme get'cho numbah." he said in a weird, funny voice that caused Tay to laugh. I felt a small pang of jealousy at that, but let it go.
He simply handed her his phone, and she keyed in her number.
Then he took it back, and started texting something.
Soon, I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket, signaling i got a text message.
Jack- I got her number before you did! Ha! :P
I narrowed my eyes at him and grinned.
"Alright, see ya,Tay! I'll be in the car, Gaskarth." he said as he headed out the corridor.
I was gonna ride with him to his place today to hang out.
Tay gave me a suspicious look.
"What'd he say to you?"
"Nothing."
Suddenly, she grabbed my phone out my hand and looked down at the screen and started tapping.
"Hey!" I tried to take it out of her hands but she turned around, making it out of my reach.
After a few seconds, she gave it back to me.
"Talk to ya later, Gaskarth." she walked off.
I was slightly confused, then looked down at my phone.
She added herself as a contact. I clicked the text button.
Me- Smooth move.
A few seconds later, she responded.
Tay- At least you texted me before he did ;)
I laughed a bit, then headed out to the car.

Technically, this is my 3rd update in one day. Haha, I hope this doesn't suck too bad.
