Alex pressed his lips to Jack's while Jack trailed his fingertips up Alex's spine before resting one against his cheek. The two broke apart for a few seconds before their lips reconnected.

Alex was woken up by his alarm. Shit, he thought. Was I having a sex dream about Jack? Obviously there was no other answer but Alex tried to shrug the feeling off by going downstairs to make himself some breakfast.
As Alex poured the stirred the sugar in his cup of tea, his eyes glanced over at the clock placed on the wall. 9:45?!?
By now his first class was practically over. How many times had he hit snooze? Why hadn't he noticed that his parents had already left for work?
Ignoring his cup of freshly made tea, Alex ran to the bathroom and stripped out of his pajamas as soon as he could. His clothes were flung everywhere but he didn't care; if he didn't shower right now then he would be even later for school and that was the last thing he needed.
Once Alex had showered and towel dried his hair (because he had no time for a hair drier and his beloved straighter) he ran to his room and grabbed the first clean shirt and jeans that he saw along with a beanie to cover his messy un-straightened hair.
Shit, shit, shit. Alex had to walk to school because if he waited for the next bus he'd be lucky to make it before lunch. If he walked he was lucky to make it to first break which was at 10:15.

The brown haired boy contemplated turning around but with teachers always giving out homework he figured that it wasn't worth the detention time. He also thought about running to school but he remembered that he hadn't eaten anything for breakfast and he didn't want to get sweaty before he got to school.

"Alex."
Alex turned around to see none other than Jack Barakat flashing him a grin. Seeing Jack brought a smile to Alex's face. He was always happy around Jack (he'd never admit it to anyone else but he wanted to spend most of his time with Jack) which was strange. Not many people could hold a conversation the way Jack could. Even silence was comfortable when he was with Jack.
"Jack, I slept in," Alex felt embarrassed as he remember why he slept in.
"S'okay, you didn't miss out on much in math. Mr. Cas didn't say anything about you getting a detention so I'd say you're off the hook," Jack switched his books over for his next classes and then turned to face Alex.
"Should we go to recess?" Alex asked. "I forgot to eat breakfast and I'm starving."
Jack chuckled nervously and nodded at Alex. "Sure thing."
Jack had 'forgotten' to eat breakfast too. His parents always told him that breakfast was the most important meal of the say but Jack only really ate what Alex gave him when he was around. Whenever Alex wasn't around he ate lunch and picked at his dinner.
"Do you want anything?" Alex asked as he lined up in the recess queue.
"I'm alright," Jack responded.
"I'll get you an apple," Alex added.
Jack wanted to sigh but he didn't want to come off as rude when he knew that Alex was only trying to help him.
Once the two were sitting at a table, Alex with his chocolate milk, cheese fries and a packet of crisps, while Jack sat opposite him with a green apple that looked oddly shinny, Jack tried to start conversation.
"So, what were you dreaming about? It must have been good for you to sleep through a whole class."
Alex almost choked on his chocolate milk. He had to think of an answer and he had to think of one quickly.
"I don't know, it was really strange. Like, you know dreams that you have and you know they were really cool dreams but all you can remember is black?" Alex rambled.
Jack nodded, taking a bite from his apple.
"Yeah, it was one of those dreams." Alex hoped that Jack wouldn't question it and to lessen his embarrassment Alex shoved some cheese fries in his mouth and sat in silence with Jack.

Jack caught Alex looking at him occasionally just as Alex did with Jack.
