The Irony of Falling In Love

Rian and I arrived at the party. We didn't seem to fit in, seeing how most of the people there were band members or Vic's super rad friends. My eyes scrolled around the room, admiring everyone.

They stopped by a table tennis table were a short girl with chocolate brown hair was drinking a Martini. "Tay!" I yelled over the music, catching her attention and dragged Rian with me to her. She wrapped her arms around my waist, bringing me into a tight hug.

I smirked at Rian as he rolled his eyes. "Hi Jack. It's good to see you." She said, pulling away from our hug and pushing my shoulder back. "Yeah, it's good to see me too." I replied, grinning. She giggled at my reply and turned to Rian. He forced a smile at her, "Hi Taylor." He blurted. His voice was strained.

"Hi..." She muttered. I rolled my eyes at how well they were acting like they don't know each other and like they had no past. "I'll leave you two to it." I punched Rian's arm and smiled at Taylor. He gave me a stern look like he was going to kill me for this later. I shrugged it off and walked towards the bar.

"What would you like?" The lady asked me. "Oh! Uhh, nothing really. I just... needed a place to sit.." I said trailing off. "Are you sure?" She asked me, leaning on the table. "Positive." I hesitated. "Well," she sat next to me, "if you need anything, tell me." I grinned at her efforts of trying to flirt with me.

She's pretty hot, I thought to myself. It's a shame I'm gay.

"I'm Cassadee." She said, putting out her hand for me to shake. "...Jack." I replied, shaking her hand. "Do you wanna dance?" She asked me. "...I, I'm gay..." I nodded my head at her and shrugged.

"Of course you are! Now come dance with me." She laughed. I couldn't deny her kind offer. Bulls in the Bronx was playing, so I took the bait and danced a little with her. She laughed at my lazy effort.

"I can't dance." I said, shaking my head. "...neither can I, Jack."

I laughed at her silly moves and mimicked her, just so she wasn't the only one making a fool out of herself in such a big crowd.

"Jack." I turned back to see Rian. "Hey! So how's it going with Tay?" I asked holding his wrists and making him twirl me around . "It's not. We're leaving." He said, aggressively pulling his arms away from me. Sadly I'm not as strong as he is so it wasn't much of a struggle for him.

"Whose your friend?" Cassadee asked, joining into our conversation. "This is-"
"Jack let's go." Rian interrupted me, grabbing my arm and attempting to pull me away.

"Nice to meet you, 'Jack let's go.'" Cassadee teased laughing at her silly joke. "Haha, very funny." Rian replied grim, tugging at my arm.

"Jack, you never told me your friend was such a serious potato." She leaned on my shoulder, standing on her tiptoes. "Yeah, his Rian. Rian the potato." I teased. "C'mon, stay a little. Honestly, you can't leave a party like this." she said, pointing at the crowd.

I left them as the talked and laughed about who knows what. I made my way to the kitchen and grabbed a water from the freezer then joined Tay who was sitting with a bunch of wasted dudes she hardly knew. She looked pretty wasted herself, actually.

I grabbed her arm and helped her up. "Jaaaack! I love what you've done with your haiiirrrrrr." She said, throwing her hand on my head and messing my hair. "Hey! It takes me ours to get my hair to look like that." I said, irritated.

She looked at me with awe in her eyes and giggled for no apparent reason as I dragged her to a room. "What's so funny?"

"I neverrrr realized how cute you areeee." She stroked the side of my face with the hand that wasn't lazily hanging around my neck. "Okay, Tay. You're just wasted. C'mon, let's get you to rest for a while, alright?"

I walked into a room that was covered in posters and well decorated. I smiled at the poster of Pierce the Veil which was right next to a portrait of cute turtles. This must be Tony's room. I'm sure he wouldn't mind walking into a drunk girl sleeping in his bed.

I put her on the couch, "Tay, stay here okay?" she nodded at me lazily then put her head on the couch.

I ran down the stairs ready to get myself some tequila or something. My mind spaced out for a while as I clumsily walked into someone.
