If We Climb This High, I Swear We'll Never Die.

Alex took a long time getting ready than i'd expect him to. He spent the most time on his hair, making sure every single strand was perfect before using a ton of hairspray.

He wore a plain white tee shirt with a denim jacket over top of it. And a pare of wore out denim jeans.

"Double denim, eh? Very... Retro." I smiled pulling on a leather jacket.
"Fuck off." He glanced over at me, raising a thick dark eyebrow.
"Anyway, you can't talk about retro. You're wearing a leather jacket." He rolled his eyes, but I just chuckled at his comment. "Fair point."

I grabbed my phone from the desk. Not that I will be needing it. The only contact I have is Josie. Other than my mom and paul.

We left the dorm toghether, Alex wakling a few steps ahead if me. I guess he didn't want to be associated with me anyway.

Every two seconds, he would bring a hand up to his hair, checking if it was still in place. Jesus christ, this guy was obsessed with his hair. And i thought i was the only one with hair OCD.

As we got to the school park, alex stopped. He looked around briefly, a look of intence concentration on his face. "What are you doing?" I asked catching up with him.

" Looking for where i parked my car you fucking idiot." He relpied as if it was the most obvious thing ever. " You have a car?" What person in there right mind would give Alex Gaskarth a fucking car. He would probably get anger and run someone over.

"Obviously." He mumbled talking out his keys and pressing the unlok button. A short clicking sound out headlights told is where his car was. We walked over to it, getting inside. It stank of stale hairspray and gasoline. I coughed a little bit.

"Would it hurt you too clean this thing!" I muttered. "Would it hurt? No. Im just to fucking lazy."For the first time, alex smirked at me.

As he began to drive, he turned on the C.D player. Basketcase by Green Day blared through the speakers.

"DO YOU HAVE THE TIME TO LISTEN TO ME WHINE?" Alex began to sing loudly. Although his voice was amazing. Every note was on key, which i wouldn't expect from him.


"ABOUT NOTHING AND EVERTHING ALL AT ONCE." I continued, my voice surprisingly worse than his. He grinned, yet he didn't look over at me.

"Green Day fan?" He asked, still not taking his eyes off of the road. "Fuck yeah!" I replied turning the music up louder if that was possible. Alex chuckled as he continued to drive.

Finally, we reached the house. It was bigger than I thought it would be. Massive, in fact. We got out of the car and glanced at each other similtaneouly. "Well... Bye then." Alex waved, walkong away from me. Damn it. I thought i could get him to hang around with me for a while.

"Jack! I'm so glad you came!" A voice called from behind me. I turned around to see Josie smiling at me. "Oh. Hey Josie." I smiled back at her. She pulled me into a hug so i huggesdher back. "Come on. Lets dance!" She grinned, taking my hanf and basicly dragging me to the dance floor. She looked over at te DJ and nodded. A slow song began to play. Wait... Did she organise this with DJ?

" I guess this means we should-" i started. "-yeah. We should dance!" She interrupted. I wrappes my arms around her waist as she snaked hers across my neck. Then we began to sway and rotate, looking into each others eyes. Her eyes where beautiful. Green with flecks of blue and grey in them. She smiled at me, standing on her toes. She began to lean in for a kiss... And I did the same.

"WE'RE PLAYING SPIN THE BOTTLE!" A voice shouted loudly, guys running all over the dance floor. One of the boys ran between us, causing us to break apart. For fuck's sake. I finally got the girl to like me, but thy split us before we could do anything. Maybe later.

"Spin the bottle?" Josie repeated sounding slightly pissed off. "Come one it will be fun!" I grinned. It was only a little game of spin the bottle. How bad could it be?
