If We Climb This High, I Swear We'll Never Die.

The first lesson of the day was art. I was never that great at art, but i loved to express myself. And if i couldn't do that through music, art was the next best thing. I sat down next to a girl with midnight black hair and a silver lip ring. She smiled at me as I sat down, giving a quick glimpse of her tongue piercing. Her eyes were green, with thick eyeliner swept over her lids.

" Hey... Are you te new kid?" She asked. Her vioce was sweet and high pitched.

" Yeah. The names Jack." I grinned at her, flashing my teeth.

" Nice to meet you jack. I'm Josie." She smiled. " Do you need a sketch book?"

" Oh, uh... Yes." She lent over the table and handed me a spare book. Before opening her own. One one page there was sketches of eyes and lips. On the next, there was an angel, hair covering her face, laying on the floor. Her wings were broken.

"Holy crap... Those are amazing!" I claimed, almost breathless from the art.

"Seriously?" She looked over at me with doutful eyes. "No one's ever said that before..."

"In that case, everyone else must be blond." I smiled at her again and she smiled back, pulling the sleeves of her pink jumper up.

There was a couple minutes if awkward silence. Josie kept opening and closing her mouth as if she was going to say something. Finally, she broke the silence.

"You know what? I like you, Jack." Her eyes looked over my features, lingering on my face. They then turned to her bag. She pulled out a slip of white paper from her brown leather bag. "We're having a party off-campus. One of the guys who live nearby are having it. You don't have to... But do you maybe wanna come?" She asked politely, but i could tell from the look in her eyes that she desperately wanted me to say yes.

" Yeah, i'd love to!" I replied almost instantly. She grinned, beginning to write the details down on a piece of paper. Her hand writing was in neat swirls and curls. She then handed the inky paper to me. I looked theough the details of the party and noticed something. '... Bring yourself +1' Plus one eh? Tht meant I could invite alex! Most peoplw would know him anyway. Whether they liked him or not.

I almost hugged Josie, but decided against it.

" Thanks. So i'll see you saturday?" I asked. Thr bell soinding the end of the lesson. I stood up, shoving the sketch book into my bag. I kept the note in my palm so i wouldn't lose it.

"You sure will." She grinned as she placed her book back into her bag.
"Can't wait." I exclaimed.

Although I was excited for a different reason than her. If only she knew. I automatically wondered if she was friends with Alex. It was unlikely though. He seemed to hate everyone. Until now that it.. Alex Gaskarth, meet your new best friend.
