There Ain't Nothin' I Can Do To Make You Stay

The day carried on the same as the day before, and the day before that. More insults, more abuse. The one thing I did notice, however, was that a new kid was put in my maths class. He took a seat in the corner of the room, and he was the new prey of the class. I felt sorry for him because he wasn't aware. Ronnie and his friends were grinning at the boy and they were laughing among themselves.
He was short. He had messy hair that was the colour of sweet caramel, and it was hanging over his eyes. His jeans were ripped and his jacket sleeves were rolled up. He looked very casual and also looked somehow normal, but God, he was the most attractive and handsome looking boy I had ever looked at. He looked incredibly uncomfortable and he clearly didn't want to be here. He pushed his white earphones into his ears and stared down at the table.
"Jack Barakat, do you know the answer to the question, or are you too busy daydreaming?" my teacher, Mr Lewis, had frightened me and I sat back into my chair, feeling ashamed. I don't often get shouted at by my teachers.
"He was probably staring at the new kid, sir!" Ronnie laughed, and turned to face the boy, pulling his earphones out, "watch out kid, he'll try and get touchy-feely with you! Stay away from him!"
The new kid rolled his eyes and breathed out a long-suffering sigh before he pressed his earphones back into his ears. Although the class was too busy mocking me, I did notice out of the corner of my eye that he was staring at me, wondering.
