Alex just laid there next to Bella, hand still on her stomach, even though it had stopped bouncing. He laid there open mouthed, not knowing what to say or think. Bella snapped her fingers in front of him.

"Alex? Baby? Say something?" Bella cooed, waving her hand in front of his face.

"You.. you mean.. you're.. you're.." He stammered. "You're pregnant?" He asked, almost in disbelief. "What? Why? How?"

"Alex, I was hoping you had the "talk" a long time ago, to be honest." She air-quoted. "Would you like me to take another pregnancy test? Was the kicking not enough proof?" She played.

"You've.. you've already.. t-taken one?" He stammered again.

"I had to find out, sweetness. It was driving me insane."

"And you're pregnant?"

"Yes."

"You mean, I'm gonna be a Daddy?" His eyes started watering.

"Yes." Bella smiled faintly.

"And you're gonna be a Mummy?" A tear rolled down his cheek.

"Yes." Her smile grew wider at the word 'Mummy'. She hadn't thought about that, not yet. But she liked it. Mummy. She could get used to that.

"Have you told Paige?"

"Nope." Bella frowned. "I'm scared to, honestly."

Alex frowned as well. "I can understand that, but she needs to know, princess." His hand stroked her stomach.

"Well, I don't want to hear you utter a single word about it, until I have told her. Comprende?"

"Does anyone else know?"

"Well. Don't tell anyone but I think this little fucker in here knows." She laughed as she tapped her stomach. She stopped laughing when she saw Alex's serious face, though he was trying not to laugh, she could tell. She straightened. "No."

"When are you going to get a scan?"

"One thing at a time, Alex. Please."

He nodded in understanding. He was going to be a Daddy.

Alex was excited. But scared at the same time. How far gone was she? How long had this baby been growing inside of her? The most annoying part was, he wanted to shout it from the top of the world, tell everyone he knew, that he had proved everyone wrong. That he wasn't just a good-for-nothing rockstar, that he wasn't hopeless. That he had helped to create a beautiful human being and that he had done something right.

He wanted to prove that he could do something right.

"Bella?" He whispered as he glanced up at her. She was slowly nodding off to the feeling of Alex stroking her bump and kissing it.

"Yeah?" She asked tired-eyed.

"I love you." He smiled then looked down at the bump. "And I love you, too. Peanut." He kissed her bump as she giggled.

"Peanut?" Bella tried not to burst into hysterics, as she stroked her bump, linking her hand with Alex's, who just smiled innocently. How could she resist? "Come here." She pulled him up to face her, by his hand. He leant over her, one hand still on the bump before kissing Bella the softest he ever had done.

Tingles were sent running down both of their spines and Bella pulled him closer to her, deepening the kiss and holding him tight. She felt him get aroused and smirked into the kiss. "Y'know, this feels really weird." He started.

"What?" Bella questioned as she kissed his neck.

"I'm about to have sex with.. a pregnant woman."

Bella shook her head. "No, you're about to make love to your pregnant girlfriend." She corrected him. In return, Alex grinned a wide grin, and climbed on top of her, being careful to not push down on the bump. Alex caressed Bella all over, kissing her everywhere and taking his time.

"I bet Peanut has fingernails by now.." Bella whispered as she laid her head on Alex's chest. Alex played with her hair, stroking it and curling it between his fingers. "I wonder what Peanut looks like.." Bella carried on as she placed her hand between Alex's chest and her chin, leaning on it so she could talk. She looked up at Alex. "What do you think Peanut will look like?"

"If Peanut is a girl, she will be the most beautiful girl in the world. If Peanut is a boy, he will be one fine piece of ass." He laughed as he winked. Bella giggled as she reached down to feel her bump, checking it was still there. "What's wrong?" Alex noticed when Bella stopped talking and laughing and started frowning.

"I bet there wouldn't have been much difference between mine and Paige's babies." She sighed and Alex's mouth slanted. "I bet they would have grown up to be the best of friends, like me and Paige. I bet they'd have been inseparable. I bet they would have been like twins." Bella started to cry softly, as Alex felt the tears reach his bare skin.

Alex knew that even Bella was still affected by Paige's miscarriage, and he would put all his money on a bet that she was scared that the same thing would happen to her. Because he was scared too. He reached for Bella's chin and lifted her head up to face him. "Don't be scared. Stop worrying. What happened was terrible and dreadful, but nevertheless, it has happened. And we all have to get over it and move on. Just think yourself lucky. Peanut is going to be the most loved boy or girl. Ever."
